Sound quality, picture clarity and color far more gorgeous than a 50 year old movie trilogy has any right to be. Great price, too!

Fantastic Video and Audio Quality

I have always enjoyed these films, but had not seen them in several years. I was looking forward to watching them for the plots and action, but surprised myself several times on commenting how clear and sharp 99% of the video was. The films have been well remastered and actually look better than they did when shown in theaters. The audio tracks have been remastered and improved to the point of being close to the sound of a modern release in my opinion. The first two movies do move along quite nicely. The third one is a little slow at points, but perhaps makes the ending that much better. A great buy!

Everyone talks about The Godfather & Star Wars as the greatest trilogies of all time, I agree, some even say The Lord of the Rings, I DON'T agree, but the one trilogy that most forget on their "all time lists" is the "Dollars Trilogy" Sergio Leone's classic reinventing of the American Western and the films that cemented Clint Eastwood as a legitimate movie star! All remastered and with great bonus material included! This is definitely in the conversation of All time greatest and should be a part of any movie aficionados collection!

The Best Western of All Time

This classic is the western that influenced just about all the rest. Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, and Lee Van Cleef play near perfect roles of a gun slinging trio that made this movie so classic. The hunt for treasure while dealing with a multitude of obstacles has also been one of my favorite movie themes. I also give credit to the music scores that are so recognizable for all westerns. And lastly the director Sergio Leone was able to make it all happen for a truly western epic.

Chances are if you've seen Clint Eastwood's westerns you're not reading this review because you don't need a review to know this is worth it. If you're interested in westerns, John Wayne and Clint Eastwood are going to be the actors you should be searching for. Magnificent 7, Silverado, Tombstone and Young Guns are the only westerns without the two worth watching. Everything without them I listed isn't a classic though but they're good besides mag 7 which is awesome.

This is such a great collection of films! It's hard to overstate how great they are and the effects that they have had on culture and cinema worldwide. The films have been remastered and look great, probably better than they did when first released or even in theaters. Some cool, interesting special features about the creation, impact, and history of the films are included as well.

This is a great collection with three great movies. They are all remastered for blu-ray, but The Good The Bad and The Ugly is completely remastered with crystal clear picture and a new awesome audio mix. There are some special features on each disc that dives into some aspects of the process of making that film, and they are all very interesting.
Overall a great buy that is definitely worth the 14.99 I spent.

Clint Eastwood's acting is fantastic as always in these films, perhaps his most famous Westerns. The cinematography and music are also iconic, making these films a genuine pleasure to watch. Even if you've never seen these films, a lot of aspects of them are in the popular culture, so it might even be worth seeing them for that reason alone.

This is one heck of a blu Ray set, featuring what is, in my opinion, the greatest trilogy of all time! Each movie looks amazing in its remaster, and having all 3 movies in a set that doesn't look cheaply thrown together is all the more better! If you're a movie buff, don't skip on having this in your collection!

The movies that made Clint Eastwood a household name. Although all three movies are great and include Clint Eastwood as the man with no name and the signature score by Ennio Morricone, my favorite is Fistful of Dollars. This spaghetti western is based on Akira Kurosawa's samarai movie Yojimbo from 1961, replacing swords with revolvers. A must see!

I"m relatively new to spaghetti westerns, and this set was highly recommended to me. I'm glad I bought it; all 3 movies are great. Simple stories well told. I never saw the older version of Good, the Bad and the Ugly, but this newer "restored" version looks great. It's definitely yellow-heavy, but from what I've read, that was Leone's intent.

Sergio leone best films! Amazing trilogy for film fans! This set includes a new remaster of the good, bad, & ugly that looks completely different from the previous release, one is yellowish while the other is blue in tone. I have them both and enjoy them as well. Clint was the man with no name in these clasic masterpieces of cinema! A must own blu ray!

3 Of The Top 20 Westerns Of All Time

This is a good set and worth every penny if you get it on sale. 3 Westerns that changed the genre and led to a revolution in cinema in the 70's. Plus you get Eastwood in his prime. If you liked Outlaw Josey Wales and Dirty Harry you will enjoy these films, though they move at a different, slower pace, but remember they were shot in the 60's.

I recently upgraded all of my Eastwood spaghetti westerns to bluray & went with this collection to kill 3 birds with one stone. Fantastic quality in video & sound & the price was absolutely unbeatable. I'm so ecstatic that this collection is available & even happier than I own it.

These movies are great and the PQ is magnificent. Sergio Leone's masterpeices are remastered well in Hd, some people might not like the GBU remaster because of the color, but in my opinion this release looks a lot better than the previous blu from 2009. again, I was very pleased with it and at a great price. highly recommended.

Very nice renditions of the films that defined the "spaghetti western" Disk extra's are worthwhile, with interviews of Clint Eastwood concerning the production and some interesting "this is what the sets looked like in the 60's and here's what they look like now".

3 of the most important westerns in one box. Iconic music, camera shots, moments... there's a reason Sergio Leone is blamed for killing the western. No one could make them better.
The blu-rays look good and I didn't have any trouble playing them.
