Great movie to buy

The fight scenes were fresh yet nostalgic, some dialogue is very nostalgic to older martial arts movies, the characters are diverse and RZA gives a good performance as the Blacksmith. My favorite character is Jack Knife, played by Russell Crowe. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves action and drama films.

Excellent martial arts film marred by gore

It's detraction is caused by excessive gore that appeared unnecessary to the story, but seemed to be placed in the film by the director as part of the obligatory violence quota.

Meh...

I really cant pinpoint it. I remember I was just let down and not excited about the movie once it ended. It looked awesome, just something irked me about it.
