Great movie and the 4k makes it look even more awesome.

The Matrix finally arrives in 4K. As of now, I don't yet have a 4K TV, but am pleased to say the Blu-ray included is sourced from the 4K and not just a rehash of the film's prior Blu-ray release; so we're still able to enjoy quite gorgeous image quality. All special features from the original Blu-ray are now separated on its own Blu-ray disc, but sadly are still in 480p leaving quite a lot of disc space wasted. All 3 discs are housed in Best Buy's exclusive SteelBook that were beautifully printed on along with some spot-glossing on the Matrix ‘coding.’ Overall, a solid package.

Looks good, love this move, and even better in 4k.

I watched it in Dolby Vision and it was a huge improvement over the standard blu-ray. Some scenes look better than others, but for the most part, it is great.

The movie itself are one of my favorite I’ll give it 4 out 5 stars but the 4k disc along with the bluray and digital download for less than $10 is worth it.

I really love all three movies of the matrix series the forecast are OK some of the scenes are a bit fuzzy like static looking, not the best transfer.

I remember this being a go-to demo disc when it first came out on DVD. Then it was mostly for the sound. When I saw this was coming out in 4K/HDR I thought it was time to revisit it. My daughter is 14, so she had never seen it. It was fun watching it again. I couldn't help quoting lines just before they happened ("I know kung fu." "Show me.") which made her eyes roll, but I don't care. This movie, with all the black, was made for HDR on a good TV. Get it. It never looked better.

20 years in, the first in the series is still the best. Hours of special footage+steel book+$10 regular price is a solid purchase for me.

The film is as awesome as the day it came out. But this is my first foray into Dolby Vision and it is vastly superior to the normal HDR you see on UHD disks. You still get darks and lights but without overdoing it-so it retains the "film look". I have an LG OLED, and a brand new speaker set up w/ ATMOS that weighs in at about 10g's, and this is the movie I use to show people why it's worth it, (to me). One warning, if you do want to engage the ATMOS effect you will need to set it to ATMOS in the movie menu every single time as it defaults to 5.1...

The best transfer of this movie so far. Not only does it look great (film grain intact!), but the Dolby Atmos track really highlights the incredible sound design. Everything from bass-heavy gunshots to something as delicate as a light swinging overhead. The music cues are better than ever. If you’re a fan of this movie, this 4K disc rewards anyone with a sweet home theater setup. The better the setup, the greater the reward!

This is a great update of a modern day classic! The blacks look a little washed up but overall a solid picture
