The Matrix has always been one of my all-time favorite movies. I like this Blu-Ray disc because it offers true high-definition quality, even to analog TV viewers. The only downfall associated with this movie is the fact that it is only available in widescreen. This is fine if you have an HDTV, as you won't see the bars on the top and bottom of the screen, since the film has been specially formatted for this purpose. However, if you have an analog TV, like I do, you will just have to put up with the bars, but it's a minor annoyance, which can easily be dealt with in order to watch a quality movie.

One of the best movies in cinematography ever made...No wonder it took me so long to find a copy. The Matrix is one of those movies that broke the rules and actual had all of thinking that the world we lived in was just a fabricated world that we were programmed to believe really existed and questioning would we have taken the red pill. Keanu Reeve was born to play Neo..So was Laurence Fisbourne as Morpheus. But it was Carrie Anne-Moss' Trinity that became my favorite character. One of my Tfavorite and is on my top 5 favorite movies list.

Movie looks good but not great as I expected being in 4k but for the price couldn't pass it up.

I like the art for the steelbook. Any Matrix fan should get it since its sucha good price

The 4K version is so much better than the Blu-ray version! BB price was also gr8!

...you do have to experience it for yourself. It's perhaps simpler to accept today than it was in 1999 -- the idea of being "plugged in" has permeated culture since this film and the cellphone is the first step to immersing ourselves in permanent VR -- and this movie is certainly apocalyptic in its view of that future. Epic, symbolic, allegorical, and just simple good fun, this is one of the best action movies ever made. So take the red pill and enjoy...

The Matrix is the best of film of the Trilogy. The subsequent films were disappointments in my opinion. The transfer to 4k is top notch and couldn't ask more for the visuals and the soundstage spread. (listened on 7.2). Dialogue is well placed in the front center channel. The visual effects that were innovative and now are used by many other films that no longer make it unique. But The Matrix was first. Highly recommend for HI Def 4K TVs and Players.

For those wondering if it worth yet another double,triple or quadruple dip the answer is astoundingly...YES!! I've owned 6 copies of the Matrix on various forms back from the vhs tape and I can tell you it looks amazing! Like a brand new movie. I only wish there was a retrospective documentary. Im sure there will be a special edition next year as it will mark the 20th anniversary! Yes. I can't believe it. I couldnt wait though! Go buy this ASAP

I own all three Matrix films in dvd and blueray formats,so I was very excited when they released all three in 4k ultra steelbook formats. I plan on getting the other 2, but if they are like the original, I will not be disappointed. This version includes 3 discs, 4k, blueray and a special feature disc with loads of goodies. The case is awesome with beautiful cover art and interior art as well. By far the best version yet. A must own.

I had contemplated on buying the box set at first. But then I realized that the last 2 films never really brought my attention although they were both fun films to watch. On the other hand , the original Matrix will forever be an all time masterpiece. With the enhance 4K format, I could not pass this up!!

An incredible classic film that has new life in 4k. I just picked up a Sony x900h and have seen many reviews of the matrix in 4k stating that its like seeing the movie for the first time again and they were not lying. Watch the review of this film on youtube by a man named vince tioh and he explains why this movie is so fantastic in 4k far better than I can.

This was another ok K4 attempt. It was just ok nothing spectacular.

The Matrix looks so awesome on 4K Blu ray! Not only is it demo worth when it comes to picture quality but the Dolby Atmos blew me away. This is by far one of the best Dolby Atmos movies ever! Saw this in theaters when they rereleased it in 4K at the Dolby theater. This movie overall is one of the best 4K Blu ray and must own if your a fan of the movie

This is a wonderful 4K transfer of the film. Well worth buying!

Upgraded the home system to 4K and decided I needed a demo dvd

I have nothing but love for this series. This is the first movie in the trilogy and it does a great job of setting up an interesting world that you would like to know more about. The steelbook is nice and looks good. I don't know if they made any for the next two like this but there has been another steelbook release for this movie. I think this one looks pretty good so no complaints from me!
