The matrix has been for a long time now one of my favorite movies. The UHD upgrade is a welcomed addition over the standared blue-ray. While the new format is not without its faults, the additional quality in visuals and audio are welcomed, especially if Dobly Atmos is an option.

This 4K/UHD of "The Matrix" is one of the great examples as to what a 4K/UHD disc can do. I won't dissect it. I'll just let the readers of this review experience it for themselves. It's just an amazing visual and audible experience, so enjoy.

This movie was so incredible the firs time I saw it as a young man. I must have seen it 3 times in the theater and still love to catch it from time to time on TV. Finally bought it in 4k and love the experience of seeing it at home like I did in the theater years ago.

With every new video format to come out, you can bet that The Matrix is one of those movies that’ll get the visual upgrade. For a movie that was made in 1999, the video quality is on par with films that have come out today. A pleasurable viewing experience for sure.

Part of the current 3 for $40 deal. Missing some of the supplemental extras from the Blu-ray box set, but still a solid package. 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos, all excellent. These have slipcovers, so the cover art on the 4K case was an unexpected surprise. Very cool cover.

The Matrix was re-scanned from the original negative to be brought to life in 4K UHD, and WOW does it look amazing. This is the best the movie has ever looked, and I am eagerly looking forward to the release of the other 2 movies in the Trilogy. Very recommended!

Haven't watched this film in about 10 years, but I wanted my teenaged son to see it, so picked up the 4K version. It is so clean, fantastic graphics! Especially the lobby scene near the end of the film. Pick it up for your 4K collection, you will not be disappointed.

This is one of the Best films I have seen in a while. Keanu Reeves does a good job of making his character out shines everybody else. For anyone looking for a good action sci movie, this is the one too get.

The matrix had never looked better now that it's in 4k with hdr and Dolby Atmos . the black levels are secound to none. Dark and inky. The hdr brings out the film to life. The colors are more bold and natural. The Atmos around track will blow your speakers out.

Nero is even better in 4K! Enjoyed buying this so I could enjoy it again after so many years and finally add it to my collection. Hopefully they won't come out with anything better then 4K for awhile...

I don't really need to review The Matrix, everyone has seen it and if You have not then I suggest You purchase it immediately. This particular version is awesome and I bought it because I recently bought a big tv and we have a blu-ray player so why wouldn't we get the widescreen version? It's just common sense.

Beautiful restoration, I’ve always thought the matrix was ahead of it’s time. Now with the new restoration it looks like it was shot yesterday. Amazing film and even better restoration, would recommend to anyone

The Matrix in 4K is an outstanding upgrade from the original Blu-Ray, especially on the audio end. Totally re-mastered from a new scan of the origina film negative it looks and sounds fantastic. Anyone that is a fan of this movie shouldn't be without a copy.

Bought this solely to see how it looked in 4K and I was not disappointed. As a fan of the Matrix films, particularly the first one, I was excited to see these released in 4K. Colors were super vivid and the action sequences were that much brighter.

A fantastic upgrade to the original film. The HDR effects really make this film look better than ever. It really makes a difference during some of the darker scenes in the movie. The Matrix is now in Dolby Atmos. It sounded amazing. Very nice package here.

The Matrix on Blu-Ray is an excellent upgrade to the DVD version. This was purchased as a Christmas gift, and I have to say since watching it a few times, I am impressed with the quality (a truly noticeable difference) in comparison to the DVD version. Simply worth the upgrade for such a classic movie.

I'm glad I skipped buying this on blu-ray cause now that I've upgraded to 4k everything, this looks absolutely fantastic on 4k. The fight scenes in this still hold up as some of the best ever. Going to be watching this few more times on 4k soon.

purchased the 4k version because of the significant audio and visual upgrade. arguably one of the greatest action sequences in 4k is just stunning. this is definitely a must buy reference disk!

This is one of the best movies ever released in my opinion. Great effects and action, but also thought provoking. This 4K release really makes this movie look insane, it is a must own for any Matrix fan.
