One of my favorite trilogies of all time, so got it go go along with a new OLED and Atmos system. Absolutely awesome. Considerably better visual quality than the 4k streaming version (digital copy), and the Atmos sound is great as well. However, if you don't have a 4k Dolby Vision and Atmos sound system, then this will be overkill.

This is the definitive Matrix Trilogy for anyone who values picture and sound above bonus features and a cool packaging. First the picture quality. Using an Xbox One X as a player and a Sony XBR LED HDR 4K TV the colors were AMAZING!!! Better than the original. Seeing as this box set also comes with the standard Blu-Ray disc I could compare scenes back to back. The new 4K HDR version has DEEP blacks and the HDR aspect is front and center. Resolution, kind of a mixed bag on this one, some scenes are so clear you feel like your TV is a window into another world, the depth of the scene is like a hole in my wall I could just step through, other scenes strangely though do show some pixilation. The pro's FAR outweigh the cons, read even the professional reviews. All the discs in this collection the 4K and the standard Blu-Ray are both made from new 4K digital transfers off the original film, not up-converted like the first transfers (think those were 2K res). So rest assured this is the ULTIMATE MATRIX TRILOGY. The sound is has been updated to a full Dolby Atmos mix, although I don't have an Atmos rated system, listening to that track did sound better than the standard Dolby Digital version. Only negative I have about the sound is more of the effect seem front biased when compared to the previous releases of the movies. I spoke with 2 friends who also purchased this set and they had the same observations. But like the picture, the Pros outweigh the cons.. Still a must have! You get 3 hrs of extras, but I've seen them all before as I have the box set on DVD that had all the movies and "The Animatrix" included.. Check the site often as its been as low as $45..

If you've never seen these movies and you like Sci-fi then don't hesitate to purchase this trilogy. The original is easily the best but the sequels are still good and made even better by 4k and amazing surround sound. Film grain is present but I think it's better this way so don't expect a smoothed over transfer. Highly recommended.

This is reference quality 4K and a true collector’s item for true Matrix fans. I’ve never seen the Matrix look so good before except maybe in the theater in 1999. Colors pop from the screen and the horrible remaster of the old blu Ray is nowhere to be seen. Thank you Bill Pope for overseeing the HDR treatment of this film!

This picture is amazingly clear. They somehow went back in time and swapped out the cameras used to film the movie. Is this real or is it the Matrix ? What ever you have to pay for this 4K movie will be worth it if your a Matrix fan. Who would have believed a film from 1999 could look this Great !!!

I’ve had the trilogy on DVD and was holding out for the Blu-Ray releases, and years later I realized I never upgraded. After purchasing a 4K TV, I finally hunkered down and ordered this box set and I’ll say I am absolutely blown away by the quality. Definitely recommend for your 4K collection!

The original Matrix was a groundbreaking idea. It was truly revolutionary, and deserves its legendary status. The sequels are good, and a fun ride, but really don't add to the story. I would have been happy to have it end with the original movie. However, it is still a fun ride.

Excellent 4K transfers for the Matrix trilogy that has now become a reference quality 4K disc especially for the first movie. This is especially cool because in 1999 when DVDs were gaining mainstream status the 1st movie’s DVD was a reference disc for digital quality as well.

Picture quality looks great. The first film has had the original color timing restored, so no over green tinting. Sequels look good too. As for sound, the default sound is low, so you'll have to manually set it to Atmos before you start the movies. Overall, I'm happy.

Easily the best high quality version of the Matrix Trilogy. Obvious improvements over the previous Blu-Ray set. Even the included Blu-Ray discs in this collection are better than the previous version. 4K forever. A must-have for die-hard Matrix fans.

I was a huge fan of the original Matrix when it first released, and although the subsequent sequels were of lesser quality, I appreciated that they went all out with their vision. All 3 films received an upgrade in 4K with improved picture and sound. It's a shame that all of the special features from the previous ultimate matrix trilogy set are not included, but I never watched them more than once anyway. Overall, a worthy upgrade to 4K (and even the included blu-rays benefit)

The matrix. What more can you say. This is the set of the three movies in 4K. Picture quality is excellent and so is the sound. The only done side of this box set is that it doesn’t come with the antimatrix. The cartoon version.

I was skeptical on getting this because I already had the trilogy on blu ray but I gave in and got it any way and I do not regret it the hdr and sharpness is great... if you don’t own these on 4K I highly recommend you do!!

I had not watched these movies in a while. A truly groundbreaking series. Great story line and cutting edge effects. I enjoyed watching them again, especially on 4K with a noticeable improvement in detail and color.

Got as a gift for my nephew that is an extreme Matrix fan. I also own all 3 movies in 4K. The 4K trilogy is a definite upgrade in both video and audio presentation of the Matrix movies, a must have if you're a real fan.

I will not get into the merits of the films themselves but this is an excellent transfer of the Matrix Trilogy. Providing Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision it is a perfect showcase for a home theater which includes both.

This is a great transfer. Image is amazing and it just feels like it was filmed recently. Good detail even im dark shots and the sound mix has improved. Digital copy is also in UHD so this is a must have!

Beautifully restored by the film’s original cinematographer with brand new Dolby Atmos tracks, the Matrix Trilogy now looks better than ever. I’m seeing details I’ve never seen before in 4K. Highly recommended.

No need to review the Matrix trilogy, you either love it or hate it. Overall the video quality in 4k is fantastic. There's not as much use of HDR throughout the 3 discs, but when it's used, it's good. The audio is great as with many 4k discs. The soundtrack and voices are all clear and at the right levels. My only complaint is that the Animatrix is not included and many of the features from the previous Matrix trilogies are not included.
