The Mist" is a fantastic movie that has been given new life with its 4K steelbook release. The film, based on a Stephen King novella, tells the story of a group of people trapped in a supermarket by a mysterious mist that contains deadly creatures. The tension and suspense are palpable throughout, and the ending is one of the most shocking and memorable in recent memory. But what really sets this release apart is the new 4K transfer. The picture quality is simply stunning, with incredible detail and clarity that brings the film to life like never before. The colors are rich and vibrant, and the contrast is perfect, making every scene look like it was shot yesterday. The sound quality is also excellent, with a new 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track that immerses you in the action and makes you feel like you're right there in the supermarket with the characters. And let's not forget about the packaging. The steelbook is a thing of beauty, with gorgeous artwork that captures the mood and tone of the film perfectly. The slipcover is a nice touch. Overall, I would highly recommend this release to anyone who loves horror movies or appreciates great filmmaking. "The Mist" is a modern classic that deserves to be seen in the best possible quality.

This is like a Stephen king mash up of Lord of The Flies and HP Lovecraft. Conflict in the midst of confusion and strife with clashes between the various demographics in the small town general store. At a certain point I thought there was a plot point that the mist itself did something psychological to people but in the final cut I think it is implied that their extreme behavior is just a response to the stress of the situation. If you know King's politics you probably won't be surprised about who the "bad guys" are among the humans. But it is a good romp and stomp with a very nice ensemble cast and good performances. It has a very dark ending. Probably for an 07 film people still remembered Y2K and those fears at that time and so it was timely.

When art was revealed, I wanted more monsters on the cover but once in hand, this set has some creative charm to it. I love it! Double 4k release with a color and black and white version, with a double Blu-ray version as well! Art theme starts with the slip cover, connects to the steelbook and bleeds into the inside art AND disc art!! Love this release!!

Beautiful steelbook housing a phenomenal film. The ending is a gut punch, no doubt, but it's a great character study. Watching THE MIST in B&W is a must!

Your mileage may vary with the movie itself, but this is some truly premium packaging. I especially love the new artwork printed on the 4 discs inside!

Beautiful Steelbook. I love this movie. That atmosphere is so scary and puts you in that store trapped with the main characters. Highly recommended.

My favorite Stephen King adaptations. Awesome that it came with the black and white version and digital copies.

This Mist 4K edition (steelbook with plastic slip cover) is everything I wish all these other 4K editions would be. The packaging is incredible, and even the discs themselves are on-brand (they replicate products sold in the supermarket). Not only that, but the edition includes a Blu Ray and 4K cut of the color film, AND a Blu Ray and 4K cut of the Black and White film. Most releases give you a 4K of one version and that's it. This release is one of the most feature-complete releases in a very long time. And the film is incredible too, obviously. If you don't know anything about it, I suggest not looking anything up before watching it. And if you only know The Mist show, I suggest blocking that out and picking this up. There are aspects in this film that Stephen King himself wishes he had written into the story,

What an amazing SteelBook! I love the creativity of the design on this one with the storefront imagery with the misty slipcover protector. Then the discs have packaged meat from a market on them; a color one for the colored versions and a black and white one for the black and white versions of the film. By the way, if you haven't watched the black and white version, that needs to be added to your watch list. The 4K here is a nice upgrade. Film grain is intact. There is nice detail in the picture. And the audio? A nice upgrade here with the monsters walking or flying right through the room. If you opt for the slipcover package, it is also very nice and the contents are the same but the disc art is not.

An excellent movie production of a Steven King short story. Stays true to the storyline and adds a twist at the end that King himself has said he wishes he thought of. Great movie.

This is a great SteelBook release! I wish more studios would do like they did with this one and package both versions of the movie in one great set. I have a couple of 4K movies that have the theatrical cut in 4K and the alternate versions are either standard 1080p blu-ray or they are not included at all. With this release we get both the color and black and white versions on separate discs. I wish we would have gotten the same with Zach Snyder's Justice League for example. Anyway, this SteelBook is great. The artwork and slip cover are terrific! I highly recommend it.

This film is great survival horror with a cosmic twist. Intense, character driven, tightly written, impeccably acted and beautifully shot. The CGI is dated; this could be improved by practical monsters, but it's a forgivable flaw. Overall immersive, grim, superbly made Lovecraftian horror. Oh and the steelbook and 4k scans are superb. I actually prefer the black and white version of this film include. I think it has better atmosphere. Highly recommended. "Thank you, Ollie." Thank you, indeed.

Good movie. Good acting. Great plot twist and ending

Yet another amazing Best Buy Exclusive from Best Buy. The design for Stephen King's The Mist (2007) not only has a great look SteelBook that cleverly utilizes the slipcover with it, but the 4K UHD has both the original "Color" version, along with the "Black and White" version as well! A must have! I highly recommend this one!!!

Have to admit this 4k upgrade looked absolutely stunning! Incredibly clear and vivid images which the original movie doesn't even come close! After a few years of not seeing it this gem of a movie classic STILL is just as powerful with it's truly outstanding cast along with a great (and creepy!) storyline...

I love this movie SO much. This version is gorgeous and does the movie justice. I remember seeing this in theaters for the first time and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. So happy to have this awesome version in my collection! Worth it!

This has always been a really good movie in my opinion. It stays very close to the book. I think the packaging for this steelbook is very nice as well. It has some cool artwork of the characters and front of the store from the movie.

I accidentally played the B&W version of The Mist instead of the color one, but man am I glad I did. The detail on the 4K is insanely good and it gives the film an entirely different vibe only comparable to those old B&W monster movies from the 1920s and onward.

This is an xcellent Steven King adaptation, I remember seeing this back in 2007 and really emjoyed it. I bought this steelbook amd not only is the artwork wonderful but the movie is crisp and clear in 4K amd it lives up to the theatrical experience i had many years ago.
