This movie is like a time machine for me, and I was thrilled to see it on blu-ray. The picture quality is a good step up, but you need to have realistic expectations. As for the movie itself, if you loved it 20 years ago, you will still love it...not sure it will have the same impact on people who have never seen it. I watch this movie any time I want to feel 12 years old again.

The Monster Sqaud is my favorite movie. As a child I used to make my mom watch it with me all the time. The monsters are great in this movie. Dracula has to be the best one I have seen. There are so many great lines in this movie. Definatly a classic.

This movie was good for the time it was created in. The acting in the movie was outstanding and incredible, and the costumes that the monsters were in were very believeable, and I think the whole movie, including the costumes were ahead of it's time.

I used to own this movie on VHS when I was a kid and I still enjoy watching this film as a grown up... not to mention that there are a lot of great one-liners in this film that still make me laugh.

Between 'The Goonies' and 'The Lost Boys' - The Monster Squad was a club of horror loving kids caught in a mystical conspiracy to stop classic horror monsters from destroying humanity. The nostalgic level is to the roof and the jokes are goofy, though some language not appropriate for younger viewers as PG-13. Grew up on the movie and loved it like 'The Goonies'.

This is a movie I remember from my childhood. Cute but not too cute some mild adult humor. A scary movie for 8-12 year olds that is very light scary.

'The Monster Squad' is a terribly stupid film that will most likely only be enjoyed by kids under the age of 10. It is completely undeserving of the high quality special edition treatment it has received here on this dvd, and right now, just off the top of my head, I could think of about a couple dozen films that are far superior to this film, that have received no special edition attention whatsoever. All that aside, this is an exceptional dvd release that fans of this piece of junk movie are sure to delight in.

Monster Squad is a true classic. This blu ray has an excellent picture.

classic movie ...didnt translate to blu ray very well dont know it it was production cost or lack of care
