It was one of the best mummy movies as of yet. I actually enjoyed watching this movie.

When I was the preview I wasn’t sold so I pass on it but I watch on hbo I can’t lie it I was hook to it. Tom Cruise did a nice job but Russell Crowe I love him in this one I can see part 2 to this one

I hoped it would be like the first ones but it's not bad at all a rewatchable movie for sure

People are so spoiled and techno-wise about how movies should be made and played. Just enjoy the films for what they are. There was nothing wrong with this film. I enjoyed excitement, (which wasn't over the top) and the absence of a profanity riddled script. Maybe the problem for some people is trying to see Cruise as someone other than Ethan Hunt. There have been mummy movies since Bella Lugosi days and a lot of them not so hot but to me this is a better adaptation thanks to the special effects and the seasoned actors. Don't let the couch critics be kill-joys and just enjoy a nice flick. Every movie is not an Oscar potential or bust occasion.

Sure this isn't the greatest monster movie ever made, but was everything perfect about Iron Man 1? It still started off the MCU in a real fun way and look where we are now! The Mummy (starring Tom Cruise) takes charge of the Dark Universe, and is loaded with teasers and easter eggs to boot. I never even watched the old horror flicks but caught a vast majority of the eggs on my first viewing. It's clear they're trying to paint a bigger picture here, but everyone seems hung up on the presence of Tom Cruise... The movie has some humor to lighten things up once in awhile, but generally follows more of an action/thriller plot line over a horror story. The action and effects were well done and I considered myself genuinely spooked when they wanted me to be. Not every movie can be The Godfather of filmmaking, sit back, relax, and enjoy an exciting new universe's creation via The Mummy.

Was looking for movies with a descent price and ran across The Mummy with Tom Cruise. Liked the movie enought to consider adding it to my library of movies.

This in an interesting take on the classic and all following movies.

Looks great in 4k, very happy with the purchase. Would recommend.
