This is a funny, violent and thoroughly entertaining buddy comedy from the writer of "Lethal Weapon," "The Long Kiss Goodnight" and "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang." If you loved "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang," then this movie is for you. Ryan Gosling -- won't be surprised if he gets a Golden Globe nomination for this -- and Russell Crowe are wonderful together. This is a fun film!

I lived in Los Angeles / Hollywood during the 1970s and this movie is an authentic trip down memory lane. It is populated with many "Tarentino-esque" characters and is driven by Shane Black's funny, interesting and sexy story. The entire cast acted their butts off but I was especially impressed with Angourie Rice as Gosling's snarky 15-going-on-30 daughter.

The way this film is shot and displayed shows the appreciation for lost film noir. Not only does its style capture you immediately, its humor engages you so fast you'll be laughing before you even know it! The pq and sq are both just as good as the chemistry between Gosling and Crowe! This is one the best to come out this year hands down!

Writer-Director Shane Black has made yet another excellent buddy comedy with a crime story at its center. Gosling and Crowe have solid chemistry, and the film is rich with quality dialogue and sight gags. While I think Kiss Kiss Bang Bang remains Black's strongest film, The Nice Guys is a worthy spiritual sequel to that earlier picture.

The Nice Guys doesn't quite measure up to the classic action movies of the era it very effectively emulates, but both Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe are excellent and amusing. The writing is entertaining, the stunts and shootouts are just fine, and David Keith almost steals the show as a villain who becomes sympathetic at the last minute.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I LOVED this movie. It's on my top 3 of the year. It's a hilarious, entertaining, thrill ride, and pretty much everything you want in an Action-Comedy. The performances are excellent and the who-donnit story line fantastic. Technical skills of the blu-ray get top marks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I am a fan of Shane blacks movies. This one is no different. Not quite as good as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang but then again you can't get much better than a fast talking Robert Downey jr and a gay gal Kilmer. But Ryan gosling does a great job in this role and the plot does keep you guessing. This movie feels like a genuine noir spy movie.

This movie is a blast. A fun story with action to move it along at a fast pace and humor to keep it light when the more violent scenes play out. There is so much detail to give it a true vibe for the era the story takes place in and the soundtrack is a great match for the extra touch. You'll watch it more than once!

Do you like Lethal Weapon, Monster Squad, The Last Boy Scout, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, or Iron Man 3? Then you are a fan of Shane Black, the writer and director of the Nice Guys. The man pioneered action films in the 1980's and he continues the trend today with this highly entertaining movie that apparently no one saw.

Two opposites join to investigate a missing a girl and the death of an woman in the naughty film business. Jackson Healy (Crowe) had to put on a few extra pounds to make this movie more believable. There's a lot of comedy in this movie. Kim Basinger plays one of the bad guys in this movie. See it. You'll love it.

I wanted to see this in theaters after seeing the trailer and then it kind of came and went before I had a chance. I knew I'd like it enough to buy it. So I did. Do not regret it in the least. This movie is seriously great. Love Russell Crowe, wasn't a big fan of Ryan Gosling, but he killed it in this movie. So funny.

It's a crime how underrated this movie is. To me it's the funniest movie of the year and one of the funniest movie since 2000. The chemistry between Crowe and Gosling is amazing. I wish more people saw this movie in theaters so they could make a sequel. Buy the BluRay so there is a chance they'll make a sequel.

I haven't seen such a good Russell Crowe movie since Gladiator! Spoofing 70's California movie industry and detective shows of that era, this movie does a great job of combining Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling... both Commonwealth actors in American cinema. Imagine Boogie Nights plus The Rockford Files...

I fell in love with this film almost immediately upon seeing it in theaters. There's SOME features but the audio and picture quality are perfect. This was shot in 2.8K and finished in 2K with whatever special effects they had also done at 2K so this is the release to get even if it ever gets a UHD release...

The trailers didn't do it for me, i had no intention of watching this movie at first. I happened to be on a plane and it was offered for free, so I checked it out. Man this movie was great!! No a Ryan Gosling fan, but he made this movie! His character and comedic timing was spot on. watch this movie now!!

Only for those who are Ryan Gosling and Russell Crow fans. It is silly at times, but I throughly enjoyed this movie. I loved the extra effort these two actors went to promote the film: their appearances on The Late Show, and the viral videos on their Couples Therapy cemented the relationship they share.

In case you missed this little comedic gem when it came out and got buried by Captain America: Civil War, now's your chance to boogie down with a great soundtrack and a couple of shady characters. Shane Black's homage to uber-hard-boiled writer Brett Halliday is rockin' the house...sequel please.

Two guys come together with the private detectives daughter to find a missing person. Are they the most ethical characters? No, but this is not a fairytale. There is some nudity and language with some violence. I would be okay with a teenager watching it, as long as they knew to respectful to women.

This is a very funny movie with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe, reminiscent of Starsky and Hutch. Gosling and Crowe complement each other well in this comedy and Matt Bomer sinks his teeth into the role of the villain. Full of action, snarks, and comedy, this is a movie worth adding to the collection!

Shane Black is one of the best writers in the game and this stands with KISS KISS BANG BANG as just a flat out pleasure to watch. Gosling and Crowe make for a good duo and now that I own the film I find myself putting it on often and hugely enjoying each subsequent viewing. This one is a winner!
