I really like this movie, and picked up this when I found it at my local Best Buy. And I’m so glad I purchased it. The digital code worked, and both discs were in excellent condition and played without any problems. An essential pick up for any Spielberg fan.

I love this movie as it went back in time and looked at a historical portion of the 70s and what went on during the Vietnam war and the pressure to report information that was confidential. Great performances by the actors. I always enjoy the extras in learning the behind-the-scenes making-of this type of movie.

After recently watching the incredible Spotlight, I was very interested in the subject matter of The Post, but skeptical it hold my interest as Spotlight did. Streep gives a very subtle nuanced performance, along with Hanks and Bob Odenkirk, and their characters really carry the movie. An enjoyable watch that doesn't necessarily blow you away.

Enjoyed the movie very much, told the story of the Pentagon paper's as it unfolded. Color and picture where top notched, really set the tone for what was to come with the Water Gate scandal. A good picture for younger people who where not born yet to see. The cast did an excellent job in there roles. I highly recommend seeing this movie.

I was in school when the Pentagon Papers were released, and had just started work as a newspaper editor just before Watergate. This movie, along with "All The President's Men," illustrates the best that journalism can be. And its depiction of the education of Katherine Graham is outstanding.

I'm sorry this movie didn't have the box office success it deserved. Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep are phenomenal and the supporting cast is awesome (I did a double-take when I recognized Bradley Whitford!). The extra features are a nice plus. I will enjoy watching this over and over again.

The Post, a reminder that journalism still matters

Sometimes, the highest of quality journalism requires taking time to do more thorough work and being worried about getting beaten by "the competition." It's also another key reminder that a free press still matters. The Post marvelously hits on both points.

This movie has great acting and suspense. What does one expect from Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep! Of course, it is a true story that occurred when I was in my early adulthood, but the memories came flooding back as I watched it unfold. The storyline seems to be quite accurate — if my recollection is correct....

Wonderful movie told thru the eyes of those who we're there. History about politics and lies often told to advance an agenda. Too me the movie is about those who dare to expose the lie and what consequences that could bring on them and do the people really want the truth.

Acclaimed Academy Award film starring Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. Based on The Washington Post publishing the documents disclosing the Government's cover-up of the Viet Nam War failures and lies to the public. A must see about trying times in our country over the Viet Nam War.

Not the most exciting storyline. But, WOW! This is based on true events and represented a series of events that helped to preserve our nation's freedom of the press. I do wish our journalists took their jobs a little more seriously in light of the battle that transpired as depicted in this movie.

A quality cast, a true story and a time before WikiLeaks. This movie brought to life what we learned in high school, and reminded me of what a completely different age it was then. The attention to detail is everywhere, and I had fun watching the bonus features afterward. I almost never do that!

Even lesser caliber Steven Spielberg is worth checking out, and while it's not going to be your go-to 4k demo disc, there's a nice uptick from the included Blu-ray. Also, for Mr. Show fans, you get to see Bob and David onscreen (together) in a Spielberg film.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this bit of American history portrayed by some of my all time favorite actors. In this day and age, it is a reminder of the important role that news media plays in our society. Great acting, informative, and entertaining.

I think I slept through this part of the actual historical events, or possibly still under the influence of my own altered state of consciousness. Great chemistry with Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. Courageous individuals and an important social statement.

This was a very thought provoking movie about events that happened in America int he recent past. It reminds me of other movies like Spotlight on Netflix. Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep are spectacular and I would recommend this movie to anyone.

Spielberg, Streep, and Hanks bring their A game to this fantastic story that is a poignant today as back when the events actually happened. John Williams score is amazing and as usual top notch.

This is one of the best movies of its genre, for a long time. It is a superb pairing of Tom Hanks with Meryl Streep in what is truly a nod to the contemporary fight between media revelation and political manipulation.....Unmissable

Steven Spielberg and Meryl Streep work together for the first time, and it's magic. An all too relevant script, sharp, confident direction, and world class performances make this yet another stunner in Spielberg's filmography.
