This is a good family movie that is based on scripture but doesn't totally beat you over the head with that aspect. Looks and sounds as expected and has a few nice extras.

I had this movie in another format and updated to a DVD so my grandkids could enjoy the message in the movie

Decided to get it just in time for Passover. My 8yo son kept asking me about the story of how the Jews escaped Egypt. So, rather than retelling the story myself and potentially missing out on some crucial parts, I figured it'd be more informative and entertaining if he were to watch this movie. I must say, after watching it with him I was very impressed and greatly entertained. The musical parts were excellent, and they stayed true to the core of the Exodus story. I even found it comparable to the movie Exodus: Gods and Kings, albeit a G-rated version, of course. It was definitely $5 well spent!

A reissue that includes both a disc and digital copy, which was on sale for less than $8. A great deal, since previous discs did not come with a digital code.

I have always been a fan of this adaptation of the Exodus story. My only regret is that a high definition version of it wasn't owned by me sooner.
