Inspirational and refreshing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie really helps to open one's eyes to the many different types of ways that God shows us his love and gives us the free will to actually love ourselves and our loved ones that surround us. It shows us that whether we are asking for the forgiveness of another or if we're actually doing the forgiving to be set free from the pain, that forgiveness and God's love for us will bring happiness and peace to our lives when those things feel unattainable for us to achieve. This movie sheds much light on so many different questions that we face as human beings and opens up the mind to hope and forward progress. I really enjoyed all of it thoroughly.

The Best Movie Ever, for Anyone!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If God is so good, than why is there so much evil in the world? Everyone has asked God this and other questions just like it. What if you could spend the weekend with God and ask him any of these questions that you wanted? ...and get answers! That is what this movie is built on. Anyone can see this movie, and everyone should! This movie will run you through all of your emotions. Put your heart through the wringer, answer a lot of questions, leave you with a few more, and is one of the few that makes you think about these relevant issues well after the movie is over. Simply the best movie, ever! P.S. ...and the book is even better.

An amazing Christian movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When the movie opened in theaters I expected to see the film but wasn't convinced at that time. A Christian friend highly recommended the movie and I decided to buy it. The story and how it develop was magnificent. When Mack (Sam Worthington) receives an unusual invitation from God on the mail to meet Him on a Shack after loosing his daughter in a tragedy event. The events there are incredible and the movie may answer many questions we had or even have about wisdom, life and the after life. Very spiritual, this movie ranks very high in my soul.

Great Movie and Book
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great movie and book. It's not easy to make a book into a movie considering time constraints and they did a good job. I highly recommend both. Some have said the story is not entirely scripturaly accurate. I believe they missed the point. It's a fiction which helps us adjust our perspective and realize God is good and loving. It's difficult to have a relationship with a relational God when we don't believe deep within us that He is good and loves us. As we draw close to God, He will sort out the rest.

Great movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must see! I loved it! If you read the book you will be delighted to know that the movie did not depart from the book at all. The movie is not about theology or a particular religious interpretation of faith. But rather a look through McKenzie’s human eyes at our eternal questions of why we suffer, why God allows it and if He allows it doesn’t it makes Him a bad or evil God? And so many other questions that our limited mind can’t understand.

Tear jerker
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! Great Christian movie. This movie will make you cry. Yes, I'm a man and tough guy, but this movie made me ball. Don't be afraid to watch it based on your manliness, lol. You will not regret watching this. I've said on other movies that I only buy movies that I'd watch over again and this is no exception. Watched awhile ago and bought on a great deal. Love it!

Awesome movie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this movie a lot! It truly gave a great depiction of who GOD is and how he operates. If you are a believer in Christ & is someone who reads the bible, you can appreciate this movie. If you are not, there are still many take aways that anyone could gain from this movie. The movie makes you view life differently in how you handle conflict, disappointment, pain, frustration etc...it also encourages having faith against all odds!

Excellent Movie! Great Spiritual experience!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved this movie! I had read the book years ago and loved it. When I saw that they made a movie, I wasn't sure it could measure up to the book, so I didn't initially buy it. I rented it and saw with my teenage daughter. We both loved it. It opened up conversations about God, forgiveness and love of mankind. It was a great spiritual experience. I decided to buy it then so we can watch it again & again! you will not be disappointed.

This movie is definitley worth your time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great movie for those with theological questions and for those that don't. It gave me great perspective without jamming religion down my throat. It is a non denominational perspective on the trinity. Forgiveness is not for the forgiven but benefits the forgiver. This movie gives a great perspective on judgement. I would recommend this movie to all my friends and would watch it with them again and again.

The Shack - Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the book before I watched - which I received as a gift 9 years ago & sadly was collecting dust on my bookcase - I was pleasantly surprised that the filmmakers stayed true to the book with a few artistic - but necessary - adjustments - The Shack moves the soul in ways words could never express - in the end with all things it is love - unconditional love - that is the root of humanity! 5+ Stars!

Amazing movie about faith and relationships.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It follows the book closely enough to feel that it is the same but with enough differences to be entertaining through video. If you are at a point where it's video or movie first I would say watch the movie first but definitely read the book as well, so much more depth is given in the book. As a person who has read the book multiple times, I was definitely NOT disappointed with the movie.

Deep and Thought Provoking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have watched this four times. Three times in the theater and once with this DVD that I purchased. Each time I noticed something different. I love the interruption of an all encompassing view that covered all religions and gave everyone something to think about. Excellent movie. Watch with an open mind and you will surely take something meaningful away with you from this wonderful film.

Lovely adaptation of a meaningful book
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review."The Shack" tells a moving story about a man learning to find healing by discovering new ways to relate to God. While it is a meaningful book, it's not "great literature" (nor does it try to be). So the movie adaptation could have been a disaster, but it's actually quite lovely. All the actors bring the right blend of sincerity and gentleness to the role, and the story is presented in a way that is meaningful and thought-provoking. This is a faith-based movie and is not likely to win any converts, but again, that's not its purpose. It's meant to give people of faith something to think about, and it does that well, and beautifully.

Fantastic movie and true to the book.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only do I recommend the movie, but I would also recommend the book. The photography was done extremely well. Great for the Holidays.Plays with your imagination. I've heard people say it is impossible for these things to happen, and I say anything is possible with GOD the creator of the universe. You just have to remember who you are dealing with.
