Not the best DVD production, but one of my Fav's.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A wonderful 'time capsule' of an Alice Cooper Show around 1979. Unfortunately, they made no production improvements from the original film version which was, at one time, available on VHS. So the grainy picture, the old sound, the bad editing is now available on a DVD. Personally, I'm glad I finally have a DVD copy as my VHS died years ago. I saw this tour and it was Alice at his best; and his most menacing. Unfortunately, the DVD (film) doesn't do it justice. There were large portions of the show that were cut and spliced poorly and other parts that were cut out entirely. All in all, as I stated before, it's a nice 'time capsule' for a real Alice Cooper fan, but it's not a wonderful representation of an Alice Cooper show. The 'Nightmare Returns' tour from the mid 80's is a much better representation of an Alice Show. If you get "The Strange Case of Alice Cooper", keep in mind, it's a poor recording and a poorly produced film. In my opinion, it would only be appreciated by a true Alice fan.
