First off, DVDs themselves are perfectly fine and as a collection, this is great to have. From the get-go, it's classic after classic that I enjoyed in my youth. That being said, the downside of this purchase is immediate. There's only one single tray that holds all of the discs in one stack. The tray doesn't seal at all, it's just an open top piece of flimsy plastic, and the only thing holding the discs down is a small piece of cardboard (that's probably only meant to protect the discs during shipping). I foresee these discs getting scratched beyond belief in the future, and the thing is, a more capable packing wouldn't have been that expensive on the manufacturers part. I'm going to have to invest in some kind of case or tray that could keep the discs from rubbing on top of each other, something I wasn't expecting to do.

The missing Star isn't for the content on the DVD's, rather the quality of the package they came in. The plastic disc holder inside came slightly damaged, nothing major though. Won't be an issue with proper care and handling. The Disc holder itself doesn't do much for the discs to prevent them from rubbing on each other, and come with a small cardboard cut out in the shape of the holder itself to keep the discs in place during shipping. Decided to Keep the Cardboard cutout to keep the discs in place at all times regardless. Soo,, Thanks for the cardboard I guess lol.. As for the Content itself, Wonderfully AMAZING!! Grew up watching old Stooge VHS' so this is a huge improvement already and contains Every Aired episode from 1934-1959, spanning from Moe Curly and Larry, to Moe Shemp and Larry, to Moe Curly Joe and Larry. A Must have for any Die hard fan or collector (although tracking down the Ultimate Edition would be more ideal with better packaging,, but good luck if you try!!). In lieu of trying to track down the ultimate edition, I Bought This and "The Three Stooges: Rare Treasures from the Columbia Pictures Vault" DVD which is basically what the Ultimate edition contains, and for half the price (granted the price varies because it's hard to find and usually from a private seller). I'd recommend this to anyone looking to have a good time, and a throw back to a different time, not so long ago, where comedy and political correctness weren't the same thing.

If you're looking for a complete set of all of the shorts, this is the collection to have. It does not have the movies, cartoons, or solo shorts that the ultimate edition has but for what you get, it's well worth the price.

All the 3 stooges a fan could ever want on dvd its amazing. I can share this with my son without having to look for it online. Its fantastic! Worth the price for sure. If you love 3 stooges or know sone one who does this is the perfect gift!

I have loved the Stooges since childhood and still laugh at their antics watching them over again today. Kids don't get how these guys were ground breaking in their day and the funniest thing we could watch on tv. This set is a collection of almost all their shorts up until the end of the group at a great price to keep for all time.

Great classics, available in store so picked it up that day and enjoyed watching that night. Sad to see the store inventory decreasing but understand the brick and mortars are declining. It is nice BB still has a local storefront for quick needs.

Classic slapstick at its best. Silly entertaining, fun, outrageous and just the best nyuk, nyuk, nyuk around. There is even one episode with a very young (22) and blond Lucille Ball. Bring back some beloved memories or show the youngsters some classic and clean fun.

I watch The Three Stooges every Saturday on MeTv. I've watched these shows since I was 5yrs old and buying the box set brings back memories. Great to have the full collection.

Just about everything you want to watch on the Three Stooges. They have a more complete Collection but I don't believe it's worth it. The best shorts are here.

They Don't make comedy like this... The Three Stooges are as classic as they come!! You will enjoy this complete set for years to come!

Any fan of The Three Stooges will enjoy this set. Difficult for me to watch in black and white, nowadays.

Won't be opened until Christmas. All of a sudden it appeared on the Best Buy rack. The perfect gift for a collector who grew up watching them.

Amazing full collection with each disc covering 5 years. Non-stop laughter, this collection is a great recipe for that.

Comprehensive pack of all the Stooges Columbia shorts in a compact case. This is my second copy of this set, bought as a back up in case of catastrophe. Not enough stars available to rate this as highly as it deserves.
