Honestly, unless you're a big fan of 70's exploitation or grew up during that era. you probably won't find Toolbox Murders very entertaining. It's a little slow, even by 70's standards and with the exception of some early carnage, not very gory. Fans of modern horror will definitely prefer the remake, which unfortunately hasn't found it's way to Blu-ray yet. Still, as a fan of old-school horror. I appreciate the original. Blue Underground gave us some great blu-ray titles, but Toolbox Murders is not their strongest effort. If you like sleazy slashers, pass on this one and pick up Fulci's "New York Ripper". The quality is far better and the film itself is much better.

Blu transfer came out well and this is an odd movie. It's got it's weird elements and "who done it" plot, but it's worth adding to the collection. It's great to see companies giving these older slashers a chance even the more obscure ones.
