Part biography, part heist flick and a love letter to the twin towers. At times, looking at the old New York skyline brings happiness and sadness at the same time. They did a marvelous job digitally recreating them. For lovers of 3D, this makes very good use of it throughout the whole film, but especially effective for "the walk" itself. Good for the whole family.

Now this was a great movie! Really keeps you on the edge of your seat. Great cinematography. Some black and white scenes with only a single object in color. I think I cringed more watching this than I did when I watched Nik Walled cross the Grand Canyon on live TV. I don't even recall this being in the theaters. I'm surprised that it didn't get as much exposure as it should have.

This movie didn't get much attention in theaters but I did see it in IMAX 3-D and was glad I did! This movie really pulls you in and keeps you hanging on to the arm rests as tight as you can! Good family movie and is based on a true story so you get a little history, too. Plus a great cameo appearance from one of America's most famous and missed landmarks, the Twin Towers!

Really enjoyed this movie. It looks amazing to see the twin towers in 3d from that close that high. Ive seen the towers upclose a few times when I was a kid. Im 33 now, so seeing this movie and living in ny my whole life is kinda nostalgic in a way for me. I really enjoyed the journey of Mr. Petite as he embarks on a mission to walk the towers. You wont be disappointed.

I bought the 3d bluray set. The 3d effects on my 65 in Samsung was awesome, not disappointed. The story was well written and the cast well acted. Im not sure how closely it follows the true story or the original film also based on the actual account but we enjoyed it.

I missed this movie in theaters but thankfully I have a 3D TV at home. This true story about a man who walked between the Twin Towers is inspirational. Showing the lead-up, set backs and the consequences of the walk. This movie provides amazing use of 3D and not just for frills like some movies. *Not for those who experience vertigo!

When this movie was released in the theaters, I wanted to see it in 3-D, however, I was unable too. But seeing this movie as a 3-D release on my 60 in TV was a great substitute. Having lived in NYC most of my life, I have an appreciation for those Towers, so seeing them in their glory was a welcome trip to a place we will never be able to visit again

It's kind of difficult to ascertain how much The Walk works for me completely as its own film, because I saw the doc Man on Wire kind of recently and it's stayed enough in my head to influence how I see The Walk quite a bit. Joseph Gordon-Levitt gives a very good performance, it's a little weird seeing him with his Pepe Le Pew sounding accent (and that's not a dig at him, as that's pretty much how the real Philippe sounded, at least in Man on Wire). The problem is that The Walk mostly feels like a live action reenactment of Man on Wire, and not its own film. That's totally my own bias, though. I imagine it works better for people who have not seen the doc, or at least don't have it as freshly in their minds as I did. Phillipe's relationships with his "team" were unfortunately underwritten, and Ben Kingsley's character felt like plot device and not an actual character. Otherwise I mostly enjoyed The Walk.

At time it does give you the since that you are high above the ground and it's quiet scary. But this movie is must see. Joseph Gordon-Levitt capture Philippe Petit really well. Some may find his accent weird. I believe that's how the actor portraying Petit. Never the less don't let this one little issue stop from watching it.

Incredible story. I loved the breathtaking visuals. One of the sadly few 3D films that make full use of technology to make the film more immersive. The film itself is also a fascinating story of a man's incredible feat to walk a wire between the World Trade Towers and the painstaking efforts of planning such a stunt.

This movie is very good, especially in HD or 3D! It initially doesn't sound like much of a plot, but actually becomes very intense. And knowing that it actually happened makes it even more so. If you had ever visited the Twin Towers, seeing them again, so real, makes the movie a bit eery, knowing that the movie was made after the towers were gone.

On paper this movie might not look like much, a guy tightrope walks between 2 buildings. But the director, Robert zemeckis, has a way of making impactful moments hit on the screen. He directed cast away, flight, back to the future, and one of my personal favorites, Contact. A great movie you might not see coming.

Saw this in IMAX and couldn't wait to get it on bluray. An unconventional love story it really brought a whole new beauty and tragedy to the Twin Towers. It gave them a beauty and sense of soul that I hadn't ever attributed to them before, honestly words can't express how this movie and the story behind it touched my own heart.

I was born and raised in New York City and vividly remember the sensation surrounding the tight rope walk between the Twin Towers when it occurred. I think the movie is very good. Even though you know how it ends, the story leading up to the actual event is extremely compelling. It is well worth a viewing.

This movie stands out because it's based on true events. The 3d version put you on top of the world Trade center, plus you will feel like you are the one walking the line yourself. Great movie to watch on your down time are on any day. If you want a high drama movie you need to watch this movie. You want be disappointed

The Walk is a Parisian drama about a high wire daredevil that attempts to do the unthinkable: walk across a tightrope between the World Trade Center Towers. Beyond the nail biting suspense, this movie truly captivates a man's dreams coming true. Beautifully written script and the lead actor was cast perfectly.

This movie is the true story of how in 1974 Philippe Petit walked on a high wire illegally between the World Trade Center Towers. The anxiety that builds up is like when we watch people nowadays do it on live television. Great movie about a man and his dream and the lengths he took in order to fulfill that dream.

THE TRUE STORY OF ONE MAN'S DREAM TO WALK ON A WIRE ABOVE THE TWIN TOWERS BEFORE THEY WERE DESTROYED. THE 3-D IS BREATHTAKING AND I CERTAINLY HOPE THE STUDIOS CONTINUIE TO PUT OUT BD 3-D'S FOR THE 3-D FANS AND STOP THE 4K MESS THEY ARE NOW PEDELING. PREPROSTERIOUS TO BUY A 4K VID FOR A 4K TV!

With the few releases of 3D movies this is a must have for collectors. The 3D image was scary when he was on the tight rope. Pictures quality was nice, enjoyed the movie.

Seen the mixed box office reviews, was skeptical but bought it in sale purely for the 3D. Story was a bit disjointed, but the acting was above average, which made the story manageable from a viewing standpoint. Good enough to keep you watching until the end, but just enough.
