This show is very interesting. Women vying for the throne and doing whatever it takes to make it happen.

This is a great series! Five stars! And REALLY wanted the digital copy to add to my library. But beware when purchasing… no digital copy. It states digital copy in the writing; it shows a digital copy in the picture; but there is no digital copy. Zero stars for not getting what was ordered. Will be returning.

Very entertaining show! If you like Game of Thrones, you'll probably like this.

Overall, this show is great! It's a fascinating time in British history. This series is also generally historically accurate as well. I love the main actresses, Rebecca Ferguson, Amanda Hale, and Faye Marsay. They, as well as most of the other actors and actresses are splendid in their roles. The only actor that was miscast was Max Irons. He just wasn't the best for the part of Edward IV. Additionally, there are unnecessary mature scenes peppered throughout the series, so it's not appropriate for younger audiences, but that's not surprising since this was shown on Starz. There's also a witchcraft theme which is really dopey. In any case, though, I recommend this show because it's fascinating to learn about this time in British history. The Wars of the Roses finally makes sense! The acting is great and the show is fast paced. Highly recommended.

Before I saw this series, I did not know what The White Queen was about. I saw a trailer for it on TV and found that it was to be a TV series based on Philippa Gregory's novel of the same name. I knew of her work from the movie version of her novel The Other Boleyn Girl (a very inaccurate take on Tudor history), but have not as of yet read any of her novels based roughly upon between 15-1600's on the Tudor's and so fourth. I love Tudor history and more than that I love anything on the British Monarchy. I know a lot on Henry VIII and his wives as well as Queen Elizabeth I, but I did not have any knowledge onto the Plantagenet's or anything about the War of the Roses. So I jumped on this series and immediately!

I was looking for a new TV series to get into and read other reviews on this series. I was a little skeptical about this and I thought it would be another "The Tudors" style series and worried it would be boring, but I was pleasantly surprised when it was not. You can definitely tell that this series had take queues from the BBC version and made it more entertaining in areas that it needed to. I enjoyed watching this series and glad I made the purchase on Blu-Ray.

My spouse & I watched this together & both really enjoyed it. We only saw half of the season and then saw the rest thru Amazon Prime and were really stunned and disappointed to find out the show wasn't renewed for Season 2 :( So we had to go out & buy Season I It's got the fighting & romance and is set in the days of Kings & Queens.. What more could you want! Fun to get wrapped up in.

If you like historical dramas, with the scheming and the plotting and amazing acting performances, I suggest you give the white queen a shot. Unfortunately there's only 10 episodes, but it's still a good series and leaves you wanting more. Three women in quest for power, the white queen, the red queen and the kingmakers daughter. Who shall reign? Watch and see for yourself.

First saw an episode on tv but was unable to watch more. So got it on blue ray and was addicted within the first episode. Can not wait foe the next season and have family members watching it over and over themselves!!! Characters are interesting and complex, never know exactly what will happen next. It was a great emotional ride the whole season.

This show is based on the history of the War of the Roses (The Cousins War). It tells how the York then Tudor families came to power. It shows the significance of the power and influence certain women had at this time. It is quite accurate to history and of course the holes are embellished, but it keeps you in tuned.

I'm really sad that this is a mini-series that ended after just one season. It was very interesting depiction of the White Queen, and the acting of the main cast was great. If you like history, then you should definitely check this one out. There aren't many episodes and the plot moves on quickly.

Being a fan of history I have always been drawn to shows like the white queen. The Tudors. The Borgias and game of thrones. There is an essence of time that not many get into and it is captured well and acted passionately. I would recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of history.

This is a blindbuy to me. As soon as I started watching - I got hooked up with the astonishing drama and intrigue revolving around the 1400's Royals. Adult themed scenes are prevalent here and my recommendation is only limited to Mature Audiences. Highly recommended drama!

This is very good drama regarding the British War of the Roses based upon a series of novels. The novels were written from a female viewpoint starting with Elizabeth a commoner who married Henry IV. Photography and color were great. The sets and costumes were also excellent. Unfortunately there will not be a second season.

While the accuracy of history has been "altered" for drama, it's a wonderful look back at the War of the Roses and how the women of the time put their own mark on that history. Wonderful performances and excellent writing!

i loved this series. You really got to know the characters and came to love some of them. Was very disappointed to hear they cancelled the series after the first season. Was so looking forward to a 2nd.

The story, characters, and settings are great, even Game of Thrones was based on War of the Roses. There isn't too much action, but it's mostly about the women behind the scenes, a very interesting take of this period.

I loved the book that this is based on, and thought that this series was a really great adaptation of it. The attention to detail and the costumes and character portrayal were wonderful, and the special features are great.

This series has good actors and tries to give a little historical accuracy. The progression of time is quick. Babies everywhere. Nude scene in every episode - not meant for small ones. Enjoyable and entertaining.

I'm starting with The White Princess before going to The White Queen. I was disappointed there was no digital copy like the picture and description calls for. Did I get an older version?
