The game is running very good on switch, but for it to run well and have good graphics you would need to go to settings and fix that other then game is very good and I enjoyed it.

That game changed how I view western RPGs. I got it on a whim on Black Friday because it was on sale and I had heard good reviews. There are so many quests to do and areas to explore that you’ll always have a goal to work towards. One thing I don’t usually like about RPGs is having to grind to level in order to face bosses, but I have yet to come across that issue with this game. There might be a small learning curve with the combat style, and I did give up after about an hour the first time I played, but stick with it and you’ll be fully immersed in no time. Got over 200 hours with this edition, and just started my second play-through to 100% this game. I cannot recommend it enough.

I bought the complete edition of this game on the PS4. The portability of playing this on the switch is priceless. I’ve progressed further in this game on this console more due to that fact that I can pick it up, knock out a few quests, and put the game in sleep mode for picking it up instantly where I left off later on. The game is a 10 itself. Don’t listen to the haters, solid port and the graphics look fine on my high def gaming monitor and the gameplay is excellent with the Switch docked and a wireless Nintendo Pro controller connected.

The witcher 3 is an in depth open world game. The story is good and entertaining. This version comes with all the dlc so there is plenty of content . It's all packed in a thicker box with goodies inside like a map , stickers ,and a manual

I played this game when it first came out on PC Max settings. I can't believe they were able to port such a majestically made game to run on a switch. Even tho they had to lower the resolution and graphics for the game, you wont notice it that much since it's a smaller screen. Playing this game docked, then yeah you'll definitely notice the lower graphics. It still an awesome game and doesnt stop me from playing on the go. Love the story lines and characters.

I played the game Docked and Portable and both are great game play. The graphics on Portable shows some downgrade but you can still play without issues. And on Docked it shows up excellent for game play. And to those issues about graphics I had no issues for this port and recommend this for anyone wanting a portable on the go game. This is one of those that you have to play to experience it. It would recommend when Docked to use a Pro controller for the best experience.

Incredibly huge game. May be playing this for years until I finish it. Allows you to change the difficulty at any time. I like that it came with the map, pamphlet and all the little extras. The overall storyline is intricate and and the many components of gameplay- alchemy, bestiary, mini-card game, level up system allows for a lot of challenge. Not to mention the open world for exploration and ease of teleporting. If you’re a fan of Skyrim or Breath of the Wild this is a worthwhile game to check out. If you’re a PC gamer it may be more worthwhile to download the pc version, as the switch has the worst graphics of all the consoles. But, personally as someone who loves great visuals the game is not unplayable or ugly by any means on the switch. It’s a tad bit thirsty for a game and maybe more male-user orientated, but paired with the graphics these moments end up feeling more hilariously ridiculous, like trying to make your Sims in Sims 2 woohoo in a hot tub. There is a learning curve, but if you enjoy being immersed in another world then it’s worth it.

I’ve now played The Witcher III on XBOX One, PS4 and Switch. Is this the best version visually or as far as controls go? Of course not. But it is absolutely amazing that a game of this scope even plays on the Switch, let alone as well as it does. Gameplay is solid, and the story makes up for all graphical shortcomings. I knew CDPR wouldn’t put their name on garbage, so I am not surprised at all. Very well done.

I'm kind of crazy and I own this game on both PC and Switch so it's easy for me to compare the two versions. On Switch you get: -A big dip in resolution. The game has a general fuzziness to it, even when played on the Switch's little screen. -A dip in framerate. Movements are choppier and there's more slowdown all around. -Less detailed textures. -Slightly less awesome visual effects. -Lower quality audio. -Fewer graphical/performance options, although there are still quite a few things you can tweak. So basically, it's a noticeably lower-quality version of the game. If you have any other viable ways to play it, you'll probably want to use those instead. However, even with all of these changes, The Witcher 3 is somehow still a great experience on the Switch. The framerate is lower, but it stays stable enough that the game is always playable. The graphics took a hit, but they smartly kept enough of the fun effects (especially the weather!) to keep the world feeling detailed and exciting. All of the content, including the DLC packs, are here and on the cart. Most importantly, you can still ignore how the continent is devolving into war and chaos and play Gwent the whole time. So sure, it's technically the least awesome way to play the game, but The Witcher 3 on Switch is still incredible. If you're like me and no longer have the desire to carve out time to sit in front of a TV or a PC, then this version will suit you just fine.

I've bought this have 3 times. I knew it was good and had planned to play it done it was first released but I always had a backlog of other games. I bought the disc for PS4 really on. Then happened to find a great deal on digital PS4 and thought it was worth the convenience of not having to switch disc but still didn't get around to playing. Then when it came out on Switch I made the silly decision to buy it again. But, that was what it finally took to get me to play this a couple years later. Being on the switch, able to easily play mobile, anywhere, was what made it simple to jump in. I still haven't played my PS4 version so I don't have anything to directly compare the switch version with but the graphics and gameplay seem to be perfectly adapted to work well on the switch. I'm sure it looks and plays better in other systems but portable play is what really helped for me and I haven't felt like I've had a reduced gaming experience with it. Other than that, I'm not sure if my opinion on the game itself is all that needed with all the many reviews of the actual game. It's been a fun and convenient experience and is recommended the game, however you decide to play it.

It's a little blurry at times, but it's worth it to have it in the palm of your hand. If you've played it then you know it's one of the best games ever made and it's worth it to play it again on the Switch. If you haven't played it then what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed!

Amazing port of one of my favorite games. As long as you play it on portable mode (which I do) it plays and looks like the PS4 version with some decline in resolution and texture detail. But I’m thrilled to be playing the witches again when I travel for work.

This is my fourth time buying the game, across 3 platforms. I’ve paid 60$ every time, I’ve spent hundreds of hours playing this game, and I regret nothing. One of the greatest RPGs ever created. Blood, tears and laughter in equal measure.

I absolutely love to be able to play this game no matter where I am! Yes the graphics arnt like on ps4/xbox one x but I honestly dont care. I think it looks great for what its working with. This is gonna be great for taking to cons or anywhere you have to wait for a while along with regular use. LOVE IT!

I have tried this game on other platforms… to me it’s way better on the switch because you don’t have to wait for hours to play it, the graphics are just as good, and I can take it wherever I want and play on the switch or a big screen.

The Witcher 3 is one of the most acclaimed games of this generation, and for good reason! It's a sprawling open world RPG with great gameplay, great writing, and a world you can get lost in. Obviously the Switch version of the game can't hold a candle to the versions of the game available for other consoles or for PC. However the Switch version is surprisingly decent. It's not the most beautiful version of the game, but it's a worthy tradeoff if you want to play on the go.

This game is awesome! Graphics are nice (for the Switch), but if you're able to enjoy the game on a TV, I would definitely recommend the Xbox/PS4/PC version to get the full graphical effect. The trade off of the Switch's less graphic capability for portability was worth it to me.

I've been meaning to complete The Witcher 3 on PC for well, since it was released. Unfortunately, I have very little time to sit down and commit to the time this game takes and I have even lost interest. Now, here comes the Switch to the rescue! Although I still do not have the game time I wish, this port goes a long way in helping finally beat it. As far as the game is concerned, the critics have already spoken. Great story, great gameplay mechanics, and amazing presentation. This port also includes all previous DLC as well. While the graphics on the PC are breathtaking (as long as your PC can handle it), the Switch version is equally extraordinary. It provides a full experience on TV and even more impressively on the go. Yes, you can definitely notice the graphics are on the low end, but for the most part the game runs well (albeit at 720p/30 fps) and having it mobile is just well worth my buying it a second time. Good Job CD Projekt Red!
