Didn't have a 3DS when this came, glad its on switch. They did a fantastic job porting this game, visuals and sound track are great. Story is really well planned out. If you play handheld, its touchscreen only, which I didn't mind.

I was a huge fan of the original DS version and I feel the game went surprisingly underrated for seeming so popular at the time. When I saw this Switch remix and what it added, I had to try it out. It takes a bit to get a handle of the controls but that can be a fun challenge in itself. I lost my mind to see you can add a second player to take the place of what was your npc partner in a game about partnership. Seems like a good way for an experienced player to get their unfamiliar friends on board. Love that it has the option to play the original music or the updated tracks (only slightly remastered, but still, that's cool. The music is an iconic part of the experience).

I really enjoyed playing this game and listening to the unique soundtrack. The music is a blend of Persona 5 and Jet Set Radio. The game overall is a shadow of Persona 5. I bought this while it was on clearance for $20. I checked the initial reviews of it when it came out and some people say that it wasn't worth coughing up $50 for since those clever guys noticed that not a lot of it was added to this version on the Switch. Remasters/remakes/ports happen all the time but I guess we're hitting the wall on these developers slapping few additions & tweaks while charging $50 for it.

The World Ends With You is such an amazing experience; if you're looking for a good story this is the game for you! This game doesn't have the same gameplay as it's DS counterpart however, and I recommend playing this game in handheld mode as it is a lot easier. Even though the gameplay isn't the best, this game is an amazing experience nonetheless: the music, story, and characters are the highlight of this game! However if you want a good gameplay experience, I'd recommend checking out the DS version, just remember that the DS version is the vanilla version of this.

This game was originally released on the Nintendo DS and was one of the best games to come out near the end of that platforms life. Since then the game has been ported over to iOS and android. This game has a great story. The lead character is trapped in a game that he must win or face deletion. The characters are well developed. Collecting and leveling up all the pins(weapons) in the game can become a rewarding obsession. This edition is the definitive version. It adds a brand new character. The graphics have been updated from the ds version and look great on a big screen tv.

This game obviously continues to have the great characters, story, and music from the original. The charm is there, the scenario is amazing. I've heard a lot of complains regarding the controls but I personally didn't have an issue with it. It's definitely not as good as the DS version, but I still enjoyed the game completely. 4/5 only because I can see why the controls wouldn't be for everyone. But I give this a personal 5/5/.

Okay. For starters the game is great. The controls are terrible though UNLESS you play in handheld with a stylus. That makes it manageable. The story is a little slow at points but when it hits it hits hard and fast. I would recommend it but only if you have never played the DS version AND you have a stylus.

I was initially turned off by the requirement of touch controls, but once you get the hang of it it is a very fun rpg. Comparitively short for a Square Enix jrpg, (I beat the game in just over 17 hours) it is extremely heavy on storytelling through anime-like cut scenes. Excellent soundtrack and fun character building.

There are many games in a generation that speak in a way that just make them amazing. This is one of those. Whether you have a Switch or mobile phone, I couldn’t recommend this game enough. Combat system is unique and addictive. The soundtrack is full of bangers. Also including an incredible story about a very unlike able protagonist learning to be a better person. Character development is amazing.

This is a pretty good remaster of the DS version, though I will recommend to those interested in picking this game up to play it in handheld mode instead of docked. Basically, it is easier to play this game in handheld mode thanks to touch screen controls rather than trying to use the Joy cons in docked.

This game is an amazing example of the RPG genre. Get buttons in a variety of ways, level them up, and use them as your skills in combat. The combat is interesting, the collection of the buttons or pins is enough to keep any hunter enthralled for hours, and the story is one of the best that I've had in a long time. Get it and remember; the world ends with you.

This game was very fun and I enjoyed it greatly. I played the original back then on the DS and thought the game was phenomenal and I still do although the controls for the TV are a bit weird and wonky this game is a must play for any square enix fan.

Not sure how I would feel about this game, as in handheld mode its touchscreen only. I absolutely love it! Although this game can be played docked, and in co op, I recommend if playing Solo to play it in handheld. I never played the game before, and the story is awesome and gameplay is addicting. I recommend this to anyone, pleasantly surprised!

This game was my favorite game on the DS. on the switch, it looks beautiful and the soundtrack is amazing, but the constant controller issues and controls hurt the game. I want to support the series, and I hope they release an update to improve the controls.

For those of you that didn’t get to play TWEWY on the original DS release, this new edition makes use of the Switch to produce clean visuals and the amazing music without the compression the old version has. For people looking to get into this game, this is the version to play.

I had the DS version of TWEWY since release, but after starting it over several times through the years, I just was never comfortable with the controls. When it came out on Switch, I was elated that I finally might be able to play and experience a game that most people rave about (that and as a KH fan, I wanted to know and understand the characters featured in DDD.) I played with a single detached controller (versus touchpad) and I found the combat REALLY easy now. Once you have a few pins leveled that you enjoy and work well with calling your partner, that's kind of it for combat. Storywise it was good, not great to me but good. TWEWY also came out over a decade ago so IMO it's a little dated.

Imo works best if you use in handheld mode similar to have ds was. Console mode controls leave a lot to be desired but doesn't break the game. The visuals remain gorgeous and a huge selling factor.

In short: I got this game on clearance, and I feel like it was priced just right. It's a really fun JRPG with a very unique mechanic, but it doesn't have voice acting and is very much intended for handheld use. I find the touch screen really difficult to use so I actually play on TV with the Joy-Con, which I think other people have complained about. It takes an hour or two to get used to the controls, but then you start flying. The game slowly adds more and more depth to the gameplay and battle dynamics, and everything feels fresh and interesting. Something to note: this really isn't a game for marathon play. It feels more like something to sit and play for a half our or so every now and then to push the story. This is probably the most effective game I've ever played in that respect.

This is a great game with wonderful music, but the Switch version is ported over from mobile. Accordingly, the controls are a bit frustrating at times. I would recommend using the touch screen if you need to play on Switch.
