The World Ends With You May be a little difficult to get into the battle system, but the story more than makes up for it!

While I'm glad to have TWEWY in my hands again, it definitely is just an iOS port. The controls have some issues recognizing pin commands, and gone is the disc swapping mechanic due to lack of dual screens.
If you want TWERY, get this game. Otherwise, wait for $20 sale time.

This is a classic RPG, highly recommend if you’re into the genre. As the game stands it’s nearly unplayable especially later in game via TV, but as a portable game it’s beautiful and excels more than ever. The touch screen controls easily when over the motion pointer controls in TV mode, which isn’t always the case as once you adjust I actually prefer TV mode in Captain Toad which similarly plays differently in each setup.

I got this in anticipation of the sequel. Im not really a fan of the controls, but I was excited that I could play it on the switch instead of the ds/3ds. I think for the average nintendo fan or rpg fan, this would probably be an easy purchase.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix for Nintendo Switch captures the essence of hectic gameplay of the original game, but with a spin on controls due to its new console version. Instead of viewing 2 screens to control 2 characters, you can control 2 characters with two Joycons (or one if you'd like) and battle on the same screen! This game was one of the best JRPGs on the DS, and now you can enjoy it on your Nintendo Switch!

The game looks great on the switch, and the story is captivating.
The controls are a little shaky being touch-screen only (handheld) or motion-control only (docked).
The soundtrack is good, but unfortunately it jumps around a lot and can get repetitive.

Never played the original, but this title definitely fits the Switch. It's a fun, fast paced game. My only gripe is the controls.
Still would recommend for someone looking for a fun game that they can pick up and put down whenever.

The controls take getting used to, but for those of you wanting to use the accelerometer function as a cursor in a game, look no further. I appreciate the developers work in getting this remake to us. I love the game, but it does get to be quite difficult without using Co-op mode.

This is a port of the Mobile game that is a port of the DS game. I use touch screen to play as I'm not a fan of motion controls. I'm fan of the look and game play, but the dialogue is a bit winded. If you are a fan of JRPG but like to try a new game play element this Is a great game.

The controls did bother me more than I would like, and I think the controls of the DS version are likely superior and less aggravating. Once I got a hold of them I could progress without worry, but combat still wasn't enjoyable. Good on sale.

I enjoy playing this game but you have to have patience with the controls. Gamers played this game with a stylus on DS originally and now motion controls are used on the Nintendo Switch. If that is not your cup of tea, you may want to try it on a sale.

I remember playing this game on the Nintendo DS when it originally came out. It was a great game and had an excellent soundtrack and art style. What holds this version back is the lack of Joy-Con controls using the directional pads. The characters are controlled using the touch screen in handheld mode or by pointing the Joy-Con at the screen while in docked mode and tapping or clicking a location to have the character move to that point. This type of control makes the battles challenging to pick up and play. Other than the controls, this is an excellent game, and I would recommend it.

I’ve played the DS version of this game, and I have ADORED it, but the new controls for this version are very unwieldy. Having to tap the screen with every dialogue prompt is tiring, but then the only other option is to use motion controls with ONE Joy-con, which is not nearly as precise. If it was easy to go between touch controls and button controls that would be one thing, but every time you pick up the controller again to go through a long dialogue filled cut scene, you’ll get the controller connection message pop up and interrupt things. Play the DS version instead, honestly!
