This movie is an emotional movie for me. It is about a wrestler who as gone well past his prime and is getting older and well....just not on top anymore and is watching his world around him moving forward and his is seeing that he is still kind of living in the past and hasn’t really went forward with his life. His health is failing and he is trying to make sense of it all. All in all it is a very good movie, with a wonderful cast that tells a great, meaningful story as well. Worth checking out if you’re into drama type movies as well as wrestling. Good movie, all an all!

Micky Rourke at his finest. He was up for best actor in a leading role Oscar nominated, and should have won in my opinion. Get it.

I'm a huge Wrestling fan so this movie interested me. I'm happy I bought it.

Not a lot of hype around this but it was excellent...a bit depressing though.

If you're a fan of director Darren Aronofsky, then this is the perfect film for you. Aronofsky's take on a battered wrestler (Rourke) piecing his life together and going through daily struggles is phenomenal -- and it makes you wonder if current wrestlers have lives like the one that Rourke goes through. The acting is tremendous in this flick, with solid lead performances by the aforementioned Rourke, along with Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. There's no doubt in my mind that The Wrestler is one of the best movies of the 2000s and it will continue to stay up there for years. To go along with that, the pricing has always been solid, ranging anywhere from $7.99 to $12.99. For that price, I definitely recommend that anyone purchase this movie because it is that good. Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

I had seen this film when it was in theaters back to back with Slumdog Millionaire. I enjoyed both at the time but I remember liking Slumdog a bit better…most likely because the pacing was probably better for doing a movie marathon in the theater. And while I still highly enjoy Slumdog, I find myself watching The Wrestler more often. It's more thought provoking, more emotional, more visceral. I had just purchased the blu ray version of both films recently and am so happy blu ray can give a more accurate transfer of film than dvd was capable of delivering. You get the full, natural grain without compromising the detail and sharpness that occurs with dvd. It's like being back in the theater again.

This movie is unapologetically depressing. But worth the watch as a treatise on the craft of filmmaking. The acting and direction are superb. And, bonus, Marisa Tomei is smoking hot. Wow! Worth the watch just for her.

I am not a fan of wrestling at all (and I haven't been since I was in 2nd grade and loved wrestlers like Jake The Snake Roberts, The Big Boss Man & Hulk Hogan). My older brother loves wrestling & wouldn't take "No" for an answer when trying to get me to watch this move. I was pleasantly surprised. So, you don't have to be a wrestling fan to like this film. It's well done.

Mickey Rourke is great in most movies and this one is no different. It is based on Jake the Snake from the old days of WWF I think. So if you like wrestling now or then or even if you don't this movie is great. Plus it was on sale when I bought it in the store.

Mickey rourke delivers a great performance as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson! This film did a great job of showing the lives & career situations of these wrestlers outside of the ring. Make sure u see 'the ram' vs 'the ayatollah' 1 last time!

Despite the low-tech feel, The Wrestler is very tight and disciplined. The score is spare but effective, nothing is wasted in dialogue or action, and the fight choreography and stunts are incredible. Rourke is phenomenal.

This movie was recommended to me by my sister, glad that I saw the dvd, and went out to purchase it for future viewing. Great acting from everybody!!!

This is a great movie because it involves something I've grown up watching and helps people see some the hardships wrestlers go through to maintain their life together.

Order came nice and fast with no issues as usual! So happy I can finally own this amazing film!

Everyone is awesome in this drama. A must see that takes you into the life of a professional wrestler's ups and lows of his life inside the ring and outside the ring.

This movie is really engaging. A great story and the acting was awesome as well. Would recommend this movie to every one. Any body would love it, not just wrestling fans.

If you grew up watching pro wrestling, you will absolutely love this movie. Moving performance, great story telling and character development.

I really enjoyed this movie. From the previews it looked ok but the movie was so much better than expected. Great story, great acting. Really enjoyable.
