I own the Therabody Pro, so I thought it might be useful to frame this review in context of how the Therabody Mini compares. First - out of the box the Mini ships with a USB C charger (USB A to USB C), 3 massage attachments, the Therabody Mini and a carry case which is more a zip carry pouch. I'll start with the carry case first, it's nice but has no room for anything but the Mini and the attachment you have on it at the time. Since you can get a USB C charger anywhere, I'm not worried that the cable "doesn't exactly fit" but it's a little disappointing that you can't just carry everything you need in the pouch. I charged my Therabody Mini over night and put it to use the next day. It's definitely a lot quieter than the Pro, so if you find percussive massage tools loud the Mini could be what you're looking for. What does stand out and based on my personal use, is it's easy to hold and maneuver the Mini vs the Pro. And by easier, it's lighter, easier to use especially if your main pain is neck and shoulder. You do miss out on some of the cool Therabody extras in pro devices (like Bluetooth pairing) but you can still use the app for guided massages. I really can see myself using the Therabody mini more often though because it's small size means I can take it with me when I travel (economy flights always cause me pain). If you're trying to decide between models, I would lean towards the mini if you have neck, arm, or lower leg pain. If you have shoulder, back and lower back pain (and have someone who will use the Therabody on you) then get the Pro. Either way, these are great devices and really life changing.

I like how this is small and portable for when I travel or take the kids to track meets. They can keep warmed up and any pains you can work out while waiting to run. This has been helpful for when we are working thru an injury. The battery life is great and the massage is pretty solid. I do wish there was a lighter speed as sometimes the area is sore and you just want a little massage. The included 3 attachments and carrying pouch is a nice touch to be able to cltravel with this. I like that it charges usbc which is a modern charging option opposed to some that still used micro usb. This allows me to have less charging cables. The only cons would be a slower mode and other colors. While black is a general purpose I think a nice Blue would be fun. As for the battery life, we used it for 2 x 30 min sessions at 3 different meets this week and it still has power left. I cannot speak to the charge time as I normally plug it in at night and take it the next morning. I really think I could take this on a trip for a week and not need to charge it.

Used it for a few days and honestly didn’t feel any better after use. Not saying the product doesn’t work but it didn’t help my aches and pains at all after working out. I felt more relief from just getting more sleep in. Also 200 for this is kinda crazy.

Stopped working in 7 months. Don't waste your money, you will need to go through the manufacturer for replacement. Best Buy wanted me to take it in for diagnosis but wouldn't say if the they would replace it or make me go through a warranty claim. Just avoid this product unless you feel less than a years use is worth almost $200.

    Great portable massager

This works great once you get used to using it. At first it was rough. I am not used to getting massages, so the roughness was something I had to get used to. It felt like someone just punching me over and over. Once I was used to using it, I got more used to it. Not just how it felt, but also how I would use it. Why 4 stars for me. It came with a case, but this only fit the massager and whatever attachment you have on it. This was disappointing as I would have loved to see the case be able to hold everything in it. The massager itself does not have a battery indicator on it. Would have been nice to have that for those times you might not want to have to get your phone out. It packs a little more weight than I expected. Not too much but add that it is like using a jack hammer and it can get a bit tiresome to use, especially for areas that you have to hold it to use. The motion for it, my hand would get a little tingly feel after a little bit of use. This concerns me for long term use and what effects that might have such as possible carpal tunnel. Using it to get to some areas like the back was not as easy. I would use both my hands when using on my lower back. But getting to some other parts was not as easy to do. Those things said, and like I mentioned first, after getting used to it I felt a lot better once I was done using. It has a app that you can download that sets the tone for using it, lets you know how much pressure you are applying, the battery life, and duration you have used it for. It is compact enough to throw in a bag and take with you. It has 3 settings as far as the speed goes, and then that paired with how much pressure you put, plus what ever attachment you use which it comes with 3 can add a lot of choices. it is pretty quiet as well. I have had a sore back and yeah it is still a little sore, I don't notice it as much now after I have been using the massager on my back and I don't use it for a long time. I think I might use it about 5-10 min at a time. My youngest son does PT for school and ROTC and is always grabbing this from me when he gets home to use. Overall, I would have given a 5 star had it had a better size case for it. I just think that not having a case that can hold everything, I am not sure why they chose to do that. But if you are looking for a great portable massager, I recommend this.

    Targeted muscle therapy, travel-sized convenience!

The Therabody - Theragun mini (2nd gen) Bluetooth enable + app is right for home or professional use. Find and work out knots, kinks, and pain areas in muscles tissues with ease. Easy to use and portable for home or travel, or even to use before or after the gym. Professionals such as doctors, chiropractors, or massage therapist can supplement their work with this unit by addressing trouble spots with exacting precision and with various speeds and pressure for individualized treatments. I found this mini size to be a great addition to our home and for travel. Having the larger/standard sized version, we rarely took it on vacation due to the size and space needed in luggage. The mini solves that problem as it is compact, and the case holds everything needed for a perfect travel size recovery tool. Multiple tips to adjust the therapy to the need is great as it can be used for generalized areas or targeted concerns. PROS - Therabody's brand and innovation - Compact size, but effective like it's larger sibling - Travel-friendly - For home or professional use - Reliability for years of use - Rechargeable/cord-free usage lasts and lasts - Bluetooth and app connectability CONS - None at this time

    Perfection

I have the previous version of the Theragun Mini thought it was almost the perfect compact massage unit. The only thing that kept it from being perfect was added in the 2nd version - USB C charging. I didn't like the idea of accidentally losing the old charging cable and giving it a standard interface means I can give it juice any time I need it. The Theragun Mini is seriously a jackhammer to sore muscles. You're so relaxed at the end you can't do anything but enjoy having been beaten up by the powerful motor. The motor is so powerful that you might have a weakened grip after a long session. It's almost as bad as using a weedeater, but not quite. One thing that I didn't really find use for was the app. While it did offer tips on how to massage, which was actually helpful, the timed massage felt more like a chore than it should. I was more worried about keeping up with the time for the next part to hit that I couldn't really enjoy the spots I was hitting. Plus, sometimes I really need more of a massage on one side than the other. So I'm back to judging for myself where to hit, how long, and how hard. The other inclusion that the older version didn't have was the three different heads. One is a diffused head to hit a larger area without putting too much pressure in a specific spot. This one is my my preferred for my herniated disc area. Hitting that disc too hard causes a sharp pain. The thumb is more of a focused head which works great on shoulders or feet. The standard is a good all-round head for just about anything. I prefer it for my legs since it's a balance of focus and pressure over a large area. Theragun has made for me the perfect after workout accessory. I can't see myself without it.

As a happy owner of the bigger model, I had to give this one a try and am so glad I did. While I love the other model, I’m already convinced that I will be using this one a lot more than the other, not only for travel for which it is perfect, but also for day-to-day use at home and office. The reason for that is that it provides the same type of massage despite its much smaller size. It requires a little more pressure, but the fact that it fits in your hand makes it so much easier and practical to use. Both my wife and I tried other smaller models from other manufacturers in the past and we thought it was a waste of money. But this Theraboy Theragun mini is different in many ways. The first thing you notice is the build quality. It’s not made of cheap material and it massages very similar to its big brother thanks to an excellent built-in battery, which is charged via USB-C, the type of USB cable that can deliver a lot of power. In my wife’s words, it feels just right even in my small hands and just as effective. After almost two weeks of use, I only had to charge it once after the initial charge. The accompanying app is a little more than just gimmick, but it is not much better than dedicated buttons. As I am accustomed to using apps for almost any modern devices, I welcome and see it as positive. My main use is for joint, muscle and rarely for back pain. My wife uses it mostly for muscle pain. The only issue is that because it is very compact, you will be likely taking it almost everywhere you go. That makes it a very personal device and sharing with your family could become a challenge. Other than that, I can’t find any downside to this product.

This is honestly a really great product; it can really get right into the sore muscles and give you a good massage and for me provides almost immediate relief. It has 3 levels of intensity, that turn up for a really powerful massage, making you feel like you are getting a really good deep tissue massage. pros: Comes with a charging cable and three different sized massage heads (1 small 1medium and 1large) to really help get centered on your sore area. The unit doesn't take too long to charge. The battery life of the theragun is prety good at about 2 hrs. You can download their phone app that lets you take control of the device as it walks you through a daily routine which is a nice feature. cons: Haven't really experienced anything wrong with the device. Seems really solid. overall, This is a very powerful massager, with multiple heads that can easily be changed out for pin point accuracy makes this thing super worth it. The massages are great and doesn't leave you sore. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great handheld massager.
