    Top-Of-The-Line Equipment

BOTTOM LINE: The Theragun PRO (5th Generation) is currently their Top-Of-The-Line percussion massage therapy tool. Designed to be used to aid in post-workout recovery, relieve every day muscle tension/soreness, and assist in athletic/sport training. Overall after using for one week, I would highly recommend, especially if you work out regularly, have a specific injury that can be alleviated with percussion therapy, or consider yourself an athlete. ATTACHMENTS: Includes 5 additional useful attachments (Dampener, Thumb, Wedge, SuperSoft, MicroPoint), plus the original Standard Ball. The larger ones are better suited for bigger muscle groups (quads/hamstrings/glutes) and the smaller ones for more trigger point work/smaller muscle groups (especially good for traps/rhomboids). Note that this is not meant to be used as a massage replacement - you only need a few minutes to feel the effects. A little goes a long way! All attachments store in their own separate pouch that fits into the included soft travel case. PROS: Very easy to use, quick charging, travel portable, plenty of attachments to choose, fairly quiet, visually-guided built-in routines, and powerful with 16mm of amplitude. Add to that mix, Bluetooth enabled for the Therabody application that support 80+ routines. For my use, it satisfies all of my requirements. CONS: This 5th Gen includes one battery while previous 4th Gen model includes two batteries. But the 150 minute battery (aka 2.5 hours) that is quick charging, and for home use, a single battery is actually more than sufficient. If you are a business providing therapy relief for clients, then I would see a need for rotating a second battery. The 5th Generation is designed to be a heavy duty percussion massage therapy device and may be a tad too bulky for some users. Using the lowest setting is pretty powerful, not necessarily a major problem, but again may be too much for some users. (Seriously consider your intended use requirements before choosing this unit.) PRICE: Although one of the most expensive percussion tools available (there are other less costly copy-cat devices that are flooding the therapy tool space), the Therabody brand markets a range of percussion tools to compete with those. But if you deserve the best, I believe the Theragun PRO 5th Gen is your only choice. RATING: I had considered a 4 rating losing a point due to the premium cost and hefty size. But after thoughtful consideration, I fell on the side of those are not negatives. Actually they are the price one pays for first-class equipment, technology innovation, superior features, and design quality. BACK-STORY: Originally developed by chiropractor Dr. Jason Wersland in 2008 to relieve his pain from a 2007 motorcycle accident by modifying a variably speed Jig-Saw with a Golf Ball attachment. (Say what?) And that is how you become an innovated industry leader dominating the competition creating what is now known as the Massage Gun Therapy market space. Be the first, be the smartest, and be the best!

Bought the gun on 10/10/23, used it that night and the next day. When it came time to charge the device, I plugged it into its included charger and it started charging. Randomly at 68%, the thing started cycling power on and off and never went up another percent. I tried different wall outlets, and a different charger. This is INSANE how its the most expensive one on the market as far as I know and its basically dead on arrival. And now what? Do I go get the same one and hope it doesnt have issues outside of my return policy. Ive seen others online complaining of similar issues.

The Undisputed King of Massage Guns

The effectiveness of the Theragun Pro's ability to help me relieve muscle aches, ease foot pain, and help with post workout recovery, has made me integrate this massage gun into my daily routine. While this massage gun (or any massage gun for that matter) is still not a proper replacement for a sports massage therapist, I do feel a difference in terms of relief when using the Theragun Pro as compared to when I don't. I've used several inexpensive massage gun options in the past. A few things that instantly stood out to me with this fifth generation Theragun Pro is it's amazing amplitude, it's incredibly versatile handle with articulating massage arm, top notch build quality, the best attachments I've ever used on any massage gun, and massage/therapy programs that I can follow along with either directly through the OLED screen or through the Therabody app. Oh, did I mention the crazy amount of stall force on this Theragun Pro? I've never not been able to stall a massage gun; until now. Out of curiosity, I applied as much pressure as I could while using it on my hand to try and get it to stall and was unsuccessful. Do you really need a massage gun to be this powerful? Maybe not everybody, but it's nice knowing that this massage device is capable of producing the deepest tissue massage out of any massage gun on the market (should you ever need to use it). The reason that the percussive massage of this gun feels so good (at least to me) is because of it's high amplitude (16mm) percussive massage ability. After trying a few different massage guns in the past, 14-16mm has become the sweet spot for me. This provides a deeper and punchier massage that I personally prefer over the vibration type therapy that a lot of other more economic massage guns seem to provide. The speed range of 1750-2400 PPMs is more than enough with this level of amplitude. Another thing that completely sets this massage gun apart for me, is it's iconic handle. No matter what area I'm targeting, I can re-position my grip to whatever feels more natural or comfortable. For me, no other massage gun has come close to providing this level of grip versatility. The attachments that come with the Theragun Pro are by far the best attachments I've ever used on any massage gun (and the best currently on the market in my opinion). The quality is just unrivaled. Every massage gun has their "go-to" all around primary attachment. In this case, it's Theragun's "Dampner" which is the brand's universal attachment. It's easily the best universal attachment I've used due to it's tapered circular shape and the high quality material used. I've also had constant issues with other massage gun attachments getting stuck to my clothing and this hasn't happened at all with any of the Theragun attachments. The "Wedge" attachment has been amazing for my IT bands, my arms, and shoulder blades. Another attachment that does wonders for me is the "Thumb" attachment. I use this a lot on my lower back and my trigger points on my feet whenever I've had a really physical day at work and feel some discomfort in my feet. My feet feel a lot more relieved right before bed and the day after. A huge benefit to getting this Theragun Pro (and yet another favorite feature of mine) is being able to take advantage of all the preset routines available on Therabody's mobile app. There are 4 preset routines (i.e. Relax, Warm-up, Recover, Sleep) saved directly onto the Theragun's memory that you can use without the app. You also get a nice little visual aid on the OLED display that tells you what part of your body to target. However, for me, the real benefit was in the routines available in the mobile app. There's preset routines for your lower back, bedtime rituals to help you relax, carpal tunnel, "tech neck" for those sedentary workers, sciatica, a ton of different warm-up routines for various sports and activities, several post-workout routines for different sports, and so many others. I do wish that there was a way to save some of these pre-sets directly onto the Theragun Pro so you wouldn't have to always depend on the mobile app. The plethora of routines that are available take this from being a simple percussive massage gun to being a tool that can also be used for relaxation and stress relief. The Theragun Pro is without a doubt, the best percussive massage device that I've used to date due to the aforementioned reasons. Some last final points that enhanced my experience of using the Theragun Pro is the fact that it uses a standard USB-C charging port, it comes with a premium carrying case with probably the softest velour (on the inside) that I've ever felt, a small carrying case with pockets for each individual attachment, and a 45W USB-C power block and cable. While the Theragun Pro is likely one of the more expensive (if not the most expensive) massage gun options out there, it's also the best massage gun on the market in my opinion. If you're a serious athlete or you're just someone who wants the absolute best option on the market to get some great percussive body relief on the go, I highly recommend giving the Theragun Pro a try!

Excellent Percussive Therapy with Guided Routines

The Theragun Pro comes well packaged in a relatively small box. In the box you find: Theragun Pro, one battery (supposed to be for 150 minutes), USB-C cable and adapter, attachment carry case, 6 attachments (standard ball, dampener, thumb, wedge, SuperSoft, and micropoint) and soft case for the Theragun. This Theragun Pro was charged and ready to use. The SuperSoft attachment was attached out of the box. I used the Theragun daily for a week on one charge. I mostly used the SuperSoft and standard ball attachments. My goal is to loosen up a previous injury right where the hamstring meets the glute. This is a hard spot to stretch and work on under normal circumstances. Using the Theragun Pro allows you to focus right on any specific area very well. The design allows you to maneuver it for the optimal angle to work most areas. I notice a difference after only one week of use. I also work out at least 3 times a week. My legs tend to get very tight. My routine is work out, hot tub, sauna and home. When I get home, I use the Theragun on my calves and thighs. It is a little almost ticklish on my hamstring but you get used to it. I REALLY like it for post workout recovery! There is a little display on the device handle. You activate it with one touch of the button. You can see the battery level and 6 options. The first option is to use the device. The second option is a RELAX routine. The next option is a WARM-UP routine. The next option is a RECOVER routine. The next option is a SLEEP routine. The last option is settings. I used the recover option many times. It is a 5 minute routine and visually guides you through glutes, hamstring, lower back, pecs, and upper back. You can customize the speed range from 1750 to 2400 PPMs). It is very easy to change the attachments to make it work for you the best way possible. Overall I rate the Theragun Pro 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this product.

    The best-in-class handheld massager

The Therabody Theragun Pro (5th Gen) is the best-in-class handheld massager. Right out of the box you can tell that this a premium product with the how its packaged and the build of the product. Setup for the Theragun Pro is super easy and works immediately right out of the box with several preset settings you can choose from, but once you pair it through Bluetooth via the Therabody app is where you really open up all the different things it can do. Once paired in the app there are multiple different recovery options to choose from and can be sorted depending on your sport or what part of your body you want to focus on. It gives you step by step guild on the app and on the LED screen on the gun of where and how long you should focus on that particular body part you want to massage. I will say this can be very intense depending on how fast you have the massager set to and try not to hit the bone because there can be some discomfort if you accidently hit a bone and not a muscle. That being said I’ve used some cheaper less known brands and boy is it knight and day compared to those, where you can really feel the difference in how much it can target a specific muscle and release the tension and knots especially in your back, and an underrated aspect of the product is the ergonomic handle which allows you to hold it at different angles to help you target hard to reach places. Overall, this is easily the best massage guns on the market and if you have any aches and knots on your body this will help 100%, as someone who has had tightness in their neck and back this has helped tremendously in relieving the pain and soreness and I highly recommend this product.

I have used a lot of fitness recovery tools in the past and the original Theragun had remained a staple in my gear bag until now! The 5th gen Theragun Pro is loaded with helpful new smart features through the app and its Bluetooth connectivity, while also retaining the sturdy and reliable function of the previous Theraguns. The triangle form is comfortable and offers numerous handling angles, the app guides you through massages to target specific muscles to get you ready for, continue to, or recover from your top performance! The on-board memory is great for those frequent programs that you know by heart and adjusting which are on the Theragun is intuitive and fast. The battery life is great, the included massage heads allow for varied uses, and the USB-C port is a HUGE improvement over my 1st gen Theragun! The universal charging ability (not to mention the included USB-C charger is plenty strong enough to power most tablets and ultrabooks) is a fantastic addition, especially when you're on the go or at an event and forgot to charge your Theragun before leaving. The adjustable, pivoting head is also a nice addition that allows you to choose the most comfortable position to reach everywhere you want to! I have strongly recommended Theraguns since I got my first one years ago and will continue to! The PRO may be on the pricy side, but the function and features make it well worth the investment for athletes and enthusiast alike!

    Works Wonders on Lower Body

I’m a fairly active person, cycling, running, golf and kayaking, but I suffered a full rupture of my right Achilles earlier this year. After several months of healing and physical therapy I was able to finally start running and cycling again. Needless to say my legs were stiff and tired after these workouts. So far I’ve used this mostly for lower body recovery, usually within 15 to 30 minutes after the activity. With just light pressure and the large soft ball, there has been no discomfort using it even directly on the tendon. I’ve felt a noticeable difference the days I used this for recovery vs just stretching afterward. I was really surprised on how much better my feet/arches and lower body feel after a short 10 minute routine directed by the app on my phone . The Theragun not only looks good, but feels very well made. The arm adjusts to four different angles and the six attachment heads are easy to change, making the connection with a solid click The travel case is a nice touch and there is a separate smaller case for the heads, but it would be nice if the entire attachment case with all the heads fit inside the travel case, making it easier to keep everything together. Looking forward to using it on the other muscle groups.

This is an amazing massage gun that stimulates your muscles and really helps you to loosen up. Upon opening i thought that the packaging was really nice. Inside the box you will find the massage gun, charger, different massaging heads and a really nice case to store your massager and heads in. I love that this is a rechargeable massager. This massage gun is extremely powerful and works wonders. It has different strength settings but i use it on its highest setting. It fits really comfortably in your hand to give and easy to grip. I also love how it has a setting that counts down for you and tells you were to place the massager on different parts of your body for a certain amount of seconds. After using the massager your muscles are loosened up and you feel so much better. My children love taking turns massaging my neck and back with this massage gun. Its powerful vibrations will leave your body feeling stimulated and so much better overall. I higgly recommend this massage gun for its effectiveness.

Easy to operate, massages great. Love that it adjusts to change the angle. Nice zipper case included. We had a problem charging not long after getting it, and it must have been a faulty cord connection with the included cord. Being compatible with my samsung phone cord is handy and that charges it just fine. My family and I use it every day as part of our active lifestyle support.

I have extensive back surgery which results in a lot of muscle tightness and spasms that can be painful. One of my physicians recommended trying the Theragun and it has been a life changer. 6 or 7 minutes on the target areas in the evening lets me sleep much better and I wake up without the back tightness I'd become accustomed to having.

The absolute best massage gun on the market. I was skeptical that I would consider it necessary but after a weekend of use, I don't know how I live without it. Amazing for recovery, and as an athlete, that's necessary to prevent injury. Highly recommend. I think most people would be fine with cheaper models, but I wanted the usb-c charging.

Sure, it's a bit on the expensive side, but I have zero complaints about it. High quality, with a good assortment of interchangable heads. I enjoy the fact that the battery charging port is USB-C, and the removeable battery pack itself can function as a charging station for your other devices should the need should arise (in my case, it hasn't). The overall performance is fantastic. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, as this is my first, um, "body beater 9000" of this type. It took a minute to figure out just how much pressure to apply and such, but the results have been stellar. I suffer from myriad aches and pains from varying conditions acquired over a career in the military, and this helps keep them at bay.
