Phenomenal relief

The theragun pro plus packs quite a powerful punch that breaks down muscle knots after a few uses. There's multiple attachments to use depending on what youre looking to accomplish, whether that be relaxation or a deep tissue massage. This product performs miles better than typical handheld vibration massagers. While i have not used it myself, it also has various modes/walkthroughs that tell you where to aim the theragun, and for how long, depending on what type of relief you're looking for. My only complaint is that the product does not come with the "cooling" attachment. For $600, this should come with that attachment.

I wanted the best Massge Gun I could get and I found one in the Pro Plus. I love the design and the professional look. It comes with a carrying case with 7 attachments for whatever needs you have - plus a USB-C charging cable. It is powerful, yet not very noisy. It has settings to make adjustments to your liking. It looked a tad bulky but after a few uses I have gotten used to it to the point where I like to have it with me at most times. I am 69 years young and I work out everyday resulting in aches and needed revovery. This has been a God send and would revommend this for active seniors. My shoulder pain is lessened and revovery helped. I just bought the cold attachment, which is sold separately, and it works. I use the Pro Plus along with the app for multiple guided sessions that help get the most out of the device. My wife contributed to this as my “expensive” Christmas gift and now I have to “fight” her to get a turn. Yes, it is pricey but it is completely worth it.

I’ve never once experienced any of these types of devices, and I’ve been working out and hitting the gym for a long time (15+ years). I never really wanted to give it a chance, UNTIL NOW!
The moment I paired my Theragun PRO Plus and started the routines with each attachment, I knew, “THIS IS A GAMECHANGER”. I love how much pressure I can apply, and the fact that I can completely control that pressure. I love the build quality of the PRO Plus, as well as the onboarding experience within the Therabody mobile app.
I’m looking forward to diving deeper into how I’ll make use of this all the time. For now, I just have to say, it’s 100% worth the price if you have the money to spend and are actively shopping for one.

I've used many different percussion massagers in my life, but this is by far the best. The different heads actually make a difference with this machine. I've brought it to work for coworkers to try. Everyone loves it. It charges quickly wit a USB C cable. "Worth every penny"! Highly recommend

Second pro plus that I have bought. First one finally broke. New one is OK but could have done without a few of the extras to keep cost out. I use it for the neuropathy in my legs every day. Because on fixed income almost couldn’t afford it. The old pro plus shaft Came straight out the new one angles down a little don’t like it as much. Overall, it is OK.

Let’s start off this review with the build quality. The Therabody Theragun Pro Plus build quality is pretty nice and it feels premium. It has a
Nice weight to it ( weighs 2.45 pounds) and the grip portions have a hard rubber finish while the upper portion that houses the motor and LCD screen is plastic but doesn’t feel cheap at all. I’ve had no name brand massage guns before and the instant you pick it up you can tell it is cheaply made. Speaking of the LCD screen it is a very nice one too. The display is clear and the icons are pretty self explanatory. If you’re not using the app you can access a quick start routine menu from the Theragun Pro Plus menu using the the controls below the screen which are nice rubberized buttons which have a good click to them when pressed. You can also cycle through some preset routines here that range from sleep prep, back pain, breathing etc.
Inside the box besides the unit itself you’ll get a nice two sided zippered carry bag. One side houses all the included attachments and the other side that house the massage gun itself is a nice felt lined material that will keep your Theragun Pro Plus in new condition. The tips included are vibration attachment, heat, micro point, thumb, dampener, standard ball and wedge. You will also receive a usb c charging cable and quit force solution ( oil ).
Now let’s talk about using the Therabody Theragun Pro Plus. I like to mainly run and hike with some occasional biking. I am getting older and I’ve notice after my runs I’ve been experiencing a lot of cramping. I have been using the heat attachment ( my favorite attachment) to warm up my hamstrings before my runs and I feel noticeable difference during my runs as I usually don’t stretch or loosen up before running. After running I like to use the dampener attachment along my calves and thighs and let me tell you that my cramps have disappeared. I also like to use the post run recovery routine on the app if I’m not in a rush and it is useful for beginners. I also do experience lower back pain after lifting weights and again I use the heat attachment and hand the Theragun Pro Plus to my wife and let her follow the lower back pain routine on the app. You can really feel the heat penetrating into your muscles long after your session is done and it feels amazing for recovery.
Another thing to note on the app and unit itself you can see how much pressure you are applying displayed by a bar that moves up and down. Now I thought this was really smart as it allows you to keep even pressure throughout a session and no guessing if you’re pushing too much or too little. It really aids in your recovery. There is also a biometric reader under the grip portion than can measure your heartbeat. Use it in conjunction with the the breathing routine Theramind Sound Therapy on the app to help you relax and calm down. I was skeptical about this but it really helped my relax and practice my breathing which I have been trying to work on and now I have a tool that I can keep track with. Another feature that the Theragun Pro Plus has is near infrared LED light therapy. There are red LED lights on the unit that’s Therabody claims that can help with recovery now this the one thing about the unit I am not too sure that has any benefit.
Overall I would recommend this product do to its features and build quality. If you’re looking for a massage gun for workout recovery or even if you suffer from pain in general i would get this.

Amazing Quality and a Life Changing Device.

The Theragun PRO Plus, created by the premium brand Therabody, stands as a a modern marvel in the realm of massage and percussive therapy devices. My experience with this tool has been nothing short of transformational since the very first day I started using it. The device's build quality, performance, and perfection easily outshine any competitors in the market. I would give this device a 10 out of 10 if I could.
During my personal experience with the Theragun PRO Plus and as someone who regularly plays golf, I was on the quest for the ideal solution to wrap up a day on the greens. Golf often leaves me with discomfort and soreness in my feet, legs, and arms. However, ever since the day I welcomed the Theragun into my life, I come home excited to fire her up and use it with the heat setting.
After my game of golf I put the heat on max with the heat attachment and just let it go to town on my feet, legs, and arms. When I return home, I reach for my trusty Theragun, eager to benefit from its soothing prowess. The device offers an array of attachment options, including the vibration, heat, micro-point, thumb, dampener, standard ball, and wedge attachment's coupled with light therapy, which enhances the overall experience.
What truly sets the Theragun PRO Plus apart is its user-friendliness. The initial setup process is a breeze, making it virtually hassle-free. Right out of the box, it's ready to spring into action. A simple tap of the D-Pad initiates its power, and you're good to go. The ease with which you can select and switch between preferred attachments and begin your massage session is a testament to its user-centric design.
Additionally, the Theragun PRO Plus offers the option to incorporate light therapy, which activates the red infrared lights. This feature provides a holistic approach to therapy, enhancing not only the physical relief but also addressing the benefits of light therapy, contributing to a great wellness experience. Unfortunately, this was not equipped with the cold attachment which helps with reliving pain and reducing swelling. I believe this attachment should be included as if you have fire you should also have ice. The cold attachment sounds amazing! You do not have to put in the freezer the Theragun will actually chill the attachment itself. Now that is amazing and I can’t wait to try it.
The bluetooth feature ensures a seamless connection with the Theragun and your phone. You can easily load various massage routines into your device, providing step-by-step guidance and timed instructions on where to use the Theragun for a soothing massage. However, once you've stored your preferred massage routines, you might find yourself using the app less frequently. The app does offer updates for your Theragun, which might be the primary reason to reconnect unless you encounter new sore spots and seek step-by-step guidance for your massages.
The Theragun PRO Plus by Therabody is not just a massage device; it's a gateway to a higher quality of life. Its exceptional attributes, remarkable performance, and user-centric design make it a leader in its category, capable of transforming the way you recover and rejuvenate. I can't recommend it enough to those seeking a holistic and effective solution for muscle recovery and overall well-being.

Great Percussion Massager, Awesome App

I am a long-distance runner and after a long run, my lower back feels tight and sore. I have been looking for a good percussion massager, but I have had issues in the past using too much pressure and poor technique. Theragun has helped me with these issues with the latest app update for the Theragun PRO Plus.
There isn’t too much to say about the setup and use without the app, other than this percussion massager is pretty good with quite a few different heads to try out. What made me most impressed is the app. The added walk-through with videos, instructions to change to certain heads, and the optimal pressure indicator, makes this percussion massager better than the rest. The videos helped ensure I was using proper technique while the pressure indicator made sure I did not apply too much pressure. Honestly, the app makes me feel like I had a personal assistant helping me out. There are 13 programs in the app, but you can only load 5 at a time to the device (see photo).
The Theragun PRO Plus was pretty quiet at 68 decibels from 4 inches away. I could easily carry on a conversation without this massager making it difficult to hear. The heated head worked pretty well on direct skin contact, but I could not really feel it through clothes. My favorite head to use was the dampener on my lower back. There is an additional head with 3 cold settings, which I have plans to purchase this once it becomes available.
The battery life was pretty good as I have had to charge it only once within 5 days. It also seemed to charge quickly, so the battery life should not be a concern.
Pros
App (What makes this great)
5 loadable activities (can change in the app)
Quite motor
Battery life
Large variety of heads included
Cons
None so far
I would recommend this percussion massager for tired, sore muscles and to help with warmups and recoveries. The app is what makes this percussion massager the best on the market. I felt I have received a much better benefit from its use since the app provided guidance.

A "Must Have" For Anyone Who Does Regular Exercise

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
My 5-year Therabody journey has been an enthusiastic one, and with the release of the Pro Plus it’s taken me to other worlds of relief and enjoyment. It began after an overaggressive pre-run leg stretch. I’ll never forget the moment I pulled my leg up a millimeter too far. OOF! and OUCH! If that wasn’t punishment enough my doctor “ordered” me not to run, or even speed walk, for 3 months – OK, I couldn’t have gone far anyway.
When my convalescence ended I was petrified of stretching again. Running without loosening up was not an option though. I noticed the growing popularity of percussive massagers, especially with competitive athletes, so I considered it as a potential “warm up act.” Initially I bought a Theragun competitor. Hated it. Its thick stick handle was awkward to hold, and I was always pinching my fingers swapping out heads. I exchanged it for the Theragun Elite.
It was love at first use. Theragun clearly thought out the practicalities of holding a massager for reaching awkward areas with its ergonomic triangle handle. It’s a comfortable hold no matter what awkward place I’m trying to reach; back, shoulders, lower back, etc. It’s an infinitely more pleasant experience than a thick straight handle massager.
My other reason for loving the Theragun is it hits deeper into big muscle groups. The combination of a long 16mm amplitude and a wide speed range from 1700-2400 percussions per minute (PPM) is unique among percussive massagers. (Amplitude is the distance the arm moves in one complete back and forth cycle – the longer 16mm travel allows it to affect your muscles more deeply than, I think, any other brand massager.) I find amplitude, not fast speed, to be king. I rarely go above 2100 unless I have a really stubborn knot, and 1700 is nice for more smaller muscle groups and tendons.
ENTER THE COMPLETELY UPGRADED “PRO PLUS”
Until now I never felt the need to upgrade my Elite. When I heard about the Pro Plus my curiosity was off the charts. I had to try it and can say now it’s truly a new generation of joy with so additions and improvements, though a couple things I don’t like too. The headliner is the new heated massage head. It’s also now two massagers in one with the addition of a traditional vibration head. I’ll get into the details but if you are looking to upgrade, YES! If you are looking for your first percussion massager and do regular runs, walks, workouts, etc., bite the cost bullet here and get this one. It’s well worth the price of admission.
If you have an older Theragun, you’ll immediately notice the Pro Plus’s sleeker, more compact look. Its arm is shorter and “nubbier”. And unlike the Pro’s pivoting arm, the Pro Plus’s is fixed. I never used the Pro so I can’t say if this is true loss. The Pro Plus also doesn’t have the Pro’s removable battery. My Elite has a permanent battery like the Pro Plus. I’ve yet to experience charging issues with the Elite, though perhaps because I only use for a few minutes before and after my runs. The Pro Plus is different though because it offers more use cases. I use it not only for workout warmup and recover, but also for breathing exercises and relaxation. So, I am concerned about the Pro Plus battery being non-replaceable even by Therabody. It seems the entire, not inexpensive, massager just becomes e-waste when the battery is exhausted.
The last difference is important to Theragun upgraders. The Pro Plus heads twist on rather than snap on like previous Theraguns. This is a major improvement, but the old attachments are incompatible. For me the biggest loss is no more Duo Adapter that accommodates two heads on one attachment. Hopefully a Pro Plus version is in the works. ++++The new heads are also color coded for easier recognition since it’s easy to confuse one with another.
Build quality and materials is superior. Even the blue end cap is metal, not plastic. The multi-color OLED display (white, blue, and red), while small is readable to my older eyes. Icons are understandable and text is larger in lieu of miniature text with information overload. (If you need a bigger screen there is an app which I’ll discuss later). A rubberized sweatproof raised button and four directional tabs surrounding control the device. There is a small learning curve to navigate the massager, but after a few sessions it’s muscle memory – no pun intended.
The Pro Plus comes in a neoprene carry case. Still, I won’t be traveling with it as I travel ultra-light. Six different color-coded percussion heads target distinctive uses – quads, neck, feet, forearms, etc. Most interesting, and top reason to buy the Pro Plus, is the heated head. The Pro Plus also exclusively has a vibrating head, new for Theragun. More on the heads soon. Finally, included is a USB-A to USB-C cable. Why no USB-C to USB-C cable?
Now to the Pro Plus goodness. The differences between Pro and Pro Plus are large enough that the “Pro Plus,” name seems kind of a misnomer. It’s more like a Plus Pro than a Pro Plus because it’s really new from scratch and nails the “plusses” like a pro. Even from an everyday practicality perspective, the Pro Plus charges via USB-C rather than a clunky charger brick like older Theraguns. Yea!
The Pro Plus’s feature headliner has to be the new heated head. I’m addicted to this one. Percussion massagers, by design, pound your muscles. It’s rarely a great feel until your muscles loosen after a minute. Adding a comforting splash of heat both masks that initial pain and loosens me up quicker. The big “pay off” though is post-run when my muscles are actually sore. The heat really accelerates the calming process. And then there is the occasional tight neck and lower back. It even helps me in a pre-sleep routine.
My next favorite all-new feature is the vibration head. Like the heat head, this is a first for any Theragun, making it a true dual massager. I use this head on more sensitive areas like the back of my neck, feet, and Achilles. It’s also fantastic to finally have an option for delicate joints I wouldn’t go near with percussive. And, of course, it’s nice when you just want a Zen-like massage.
Speaking of Zen, another all-new and relaxing bit of tech wizardry included is a biometric finger sensor on the side of the handle. Used in tandem with the app’s breathing exercises, it helps put me in a more focused state of mine. Therabody recommends it for stress relief, but I also use it as part of my pre-run routine because, for me, it helps loosen my lungs for a run too. The routine is customized based on your heart rate taken from the biometric sensor and is designed to lower your heart rate. The app guides you when to breath in and breath out while the Pro Plus itself gently vibrates. It’s a really nice experience. The only long-term question I have is the “spa music” that accompanies it. It seems you can turn it off but you can’t change it. I imagine after a while hearing this same music might get a bit tedious and counteract the relaxing purpose of this routine. Hopefully an update will allow for different tunes or adding your own. (At no extra charge, of course).
The all-new doesn’t stop there. Infrared LED light therapy is offered via an LED panel on the outer front handle. It’s 100% user programmable – on/off and brightness. Supposedly it boosts blood circulation. I haven’t experienced it long enough to honestly say if it actually works, and I definitely don’t understand the science behind it. Regardless, it’s 100% user controllable – off/on and brightness -- so I see it as a “bonus.” Nice to have if it does what it’s supposed to do, no loss if it’s a marketing gimmick.
USING THE PRO PLUS, WITH AND WITHOUT APP
Like every Theragun (except maybe the mini), the Pro Plus can be used in manual mode for an unlimited amount of time at whatever speed you like. Alternatively, there is “routine mode,” where pre-baked routines for pre-workout, post-workout, bedtime, back pain, etc., guide you, complete with pictures of exactly where to place the massager. You can select up to 5 different routines to be available on-device. The others are also available in the app. The app itself is intuitive, inviting and 100% free. I say this because I’ve read a lot of uniformed comments online that it’s a required subscription. 100% false. Therabody does offer additional features by in-app subscription but that’s separate from everything discussed in this review.
“Routine mode,” guides the user though the routine with an on-screen diagram of where to correctly place and how to move the massager, or in the app it shows a video. It also sets the suggested speed and starts (with a countdown timer) and stops the routine so you don’t over do it. This is perfect for learning beginners or anyone who needs a quick no-fuss session. The routines are modifiable for personal preference. One advantage to starting off with the app vs the on-screen instructions is that the app guides the user to the optimal pressure to apply.
Displaying these routines on screen is exclusive to Therabody’s “pro” models. My old Elite only offered routines via app so I can say using it on device is a lot less clumsy than having to juggle a phone and massager. Of course, the breathing routines do require the app.
CONCLUSION
The Pro Plus in my mind is an all-new model with new features unavailable on any other Theragun model. I still regard my Elite as stellar, but the Pro Plus is incomparable and my new “must have” for its heat, vibration, and heart rate/breathing exercise abilities. Time will tell if the Infrared is included in that list. So, if you are looking at other percussion massagers, and you do regular exercise of any kind, I think features in the Pro Plus are worth the extra coin. I justify the cost not only on the new features. While I am concerned about long-term battery life, extrapolating from my Elite experience, I’m banking on the Pro Plus to be just as durable for years long enjoyment.

The Device I Didn't Know I Needed

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Like everyone, my recovery time after workouts is getting longer with age. I've also had some recurring upper back pain and tension the past few years and have tried several different vibrators and massagers with no real luck. Enter the new Theragun Pro Plus. It's incredibly versatile and offers a ton of adjustability and attachments, but it does have some drawbacks.
=== UNBOXING AND SETUP ===
Even if you've never used a high-end massage gun like this one, you won't have any problems setting this up. It's pretty much ready to go out of the box. The Theragun Pro Plus comes with a large, plush carrying case that holds the device and all included attachments. The attachments are very easy to swap with a simple twist. There is a bright LCD display at the top of the device and a button pad that lets you cycle through six pre-set massage modes and a settings menu. The first thing I did was download the Therabody iPhone app and paired the device with the app. I would highly recommend doing this, since the app walks you through tutorials and demonstrations of all of the Theragun's attachments and other features. Also worth noting is that the gun charges via USB-C, so there are no proprietary adapters or chargers to worry about.
=== FEATURES AND USE ===
The Theragun Pro Plus is loaded with features for professional athletes and regular people alike. The biggest selling points of the Pro Plus model are more intense percussive therapy (up to 16mm), near-infrared light therapy, vibration therapy, and hot/cold therapy. Compared to the regular Pro model, the Pro Plus also has a built-in biometric sensor that can detect your heart rate and assist with breathing exercises. You can start using the Theragun immediately by using the "quick start" option on the device itself, but to get the most out of the device, I find myself using the Theragun app. The app has routines for almost all use cases, including workout recovery, upper and lower body pain, sleep prep, yoga warm-ups, and more. By selecting one of these routines, the app walks you through exactly which attachment to use and precisely where to aim the gun on your body. It will also tell you whether you are applying too much pressure and allows you to adjust the percussive speed. Of course, you can do some of this without the app by using the LCD screen on the gun, but it's not as seamless.
The upper back pain and neck pain routines have made a big difference for me over the past few weeks. There is noticeably less tension and pain in my upper back, and I love how the app guide me through exactly what to do. Similarly, by using the gun after weightlifting and running workouts, my soreness and tightness during recovery has been greatly reduced. I do find myself adjusting the percussive speed/intensity to the lowest settings, since some of the faster/higher settings can feel borderline painful. So if you've only used vibrating massagers in the past, it might take you some time to adjust to the feeling of percussive therapy. My only other complaints are that the gun is quite heavy to use for extended periods of time, especially if you are trying to reach anywhere on your back. It might not be an issue if you have someone else who is going to hold and apply the Theragun for you. But if you're using it solo, holding and maneuvering the Theragun Pro Plus can be a workout in and of itself.
You'll have to decide for yourself whether some of the other "Pro Plus" features are worth it for you. The built-in LED for light therapy is a novel feature, but I haven't noticed any immediate benefits by having the light on. Similarly, the biometric heart rate sensor could be useful if you plan on utilizing the breathing and sleep prep routines in the app, but I don't see myself using it very frequently.
=== OVERALL ===
The Theragun Pro Plus is an amazingly capable device and is likely one of the most advanced massage guns on the market. Serious or professional athletes will probably be the ones to take fullest advantage of all the cutting-edge features offered here, but even regular people/athletes will benefit from the power of the Theragun Pro Plus. Personally, this is now an indispensable device for managing my upper back pain and making my recovery after workouts more tolerable. I do wish the ergonomics of the device were a bit better, since it can be difficult to reach certain areas on my back. But paired with the Therabody smartphone app, people of all ages and fitness levels can use the Theragun Pro Plus with ease.

I have owned in percussion guns and this Theragun pro plus blows all of them out of the water....
So a little bit of background of my athletic endeavors.
I have been active with various sports over the years and it wasn't until I got injured in a contact sport that I appreciate various tools to help alleviate and control pain.
I suffer from herniated cervical and lumbar vertebrae discs and often get muscles that tense up and cause for pain in my extremities.
I have used percussion guns in conjunction with tennis ball and foam rollers to help release lactic acid that impinges my nerves.
So after I do my weekend road bike I need percussion my back and calves due to lactic acid build up and to reduce inflammation.
Theragun takes it to the next level. The automatic function along with specific heads creat a specific target zone for these areas.
The Handle on the gun is ingenious..... it allows for easier gripping and ability to apply pressure to different parts of the body that are hard to reach and sustain and longer hold.
There is also the option to buy a head that you can ICE to create a cold pack and combine with the percussion.
Also the heated head along with LED heat helps with muscle recovery as well.
Wow. What a difference between knock off percussion guns vs Theragun...
The app is also pretty cool. Different options for different pre or post exercises. App is easy to use and toggle.
Battery life is decent as well.
I can't speak enough the build and quality.

In an average week, I run about 20 miles, coach two soccer teams, and play in a competitive over-40 year old league. I feel aches and pains, which I considered to be normal soreness after an aggressive workout. I have never used a massage gun as I didn’t feel that I needed one and was skeptical of the benefits.
So when given the opportunity to try out the Theragun Pro Plus massage gun for my muscle pain and tension, I decided to give it a go. Theragun is one of the most popular machine guns with outstanding reviews. The devices seem to last longer than more inexpensive products due to better overall quality.
The Theragun Pro Plus is a powerful device and is ideal for treating deep muscle pain. I have pulled multiple muscles and didn’t truly appreciate the damage that I have done to my calves over the years. Many times, I would feel a slight twinge in one of my calves while playing soccer, and I would shut it down for the day to prevent another 3 months of injury. The first time I used the Theragun Pro Plus, I felt knots in multiple places – based on my research, it seems this was scar tissue that had built up over multiple years/torn muscles. Two days later, I thought I had actually overdone it, as it felt like I pulled the muscle in one of my calves, however, this pain dissipated over the course of the next day. After using this massage gun a few times per week, and especially before/after runs and playing full-field 90 minute soccer games, I have noticed a substantial reduction in my pain and an improvement in my ability to run.
My recovery is much faster, and I haven’t felt any muscle twinges since using this gun. There is an app that accompanies the Theragun Pro Plus, which contains modes for before and post-work out massages. There are videos and controls which provide items related to pressure, time, vibration speed, and whether you want to use the LED/heat.
From what I can tell, LED/heat is a very new component to the Theragun line. There is a good bit of heat generated – I don’t know how beneficial this is, but I can feel the difference. The Theragun Pro also has multiple speed settings and attachments as you can see from the pictures. They vary from a specific pressure point, a ball, wedge, and the warming tool. The app does a great job of explaining which to use and when. They are easy to twist on and off. And it’s not very loud, so it’s good to use at night when people are trying to sleep. Speaking of sleep -- there is even a sleep mode to reduce stress and induce calm.
I have been using the Theragun Pro Plus for over a month now, and I have been very impressed with the results. I use it on a variety of muscle groups, including my back, shoulders, legs, and even my feet. I find that it helps to reduce muscle pain and soreness, so I can run more frequently and at a faster pace than I could previously. The Theragun Pro Plus is very easy to use, even for a rookie like myself. The attachments are easy to change, and the speed settings are adjustable.
I would highly recommend the Theragun Pro Plus to anyone who is looking for a high-quality massage gun.

This Theragun is definitely the most useful of all the percussive devices I have used to this point. The intensity levels are different enough you actually feel as though there is a reason to step up or step down the intensity. The motor runs smooth and quietly for the amount of force being produced. I have yet to exceed the stall force even when digging deeply into my quads and glutes. The attachments, with the exception of the cold therapy, are fantastic. The cold therapy honestly feels irrelevant. The ability to use percussion while using the cold feature (which you cannot do) would make it much better in my opinion. As of now it is a $90 cold compress that vents hot air out the sides. (Buyer be informed). The other attachments however are great. The heat attachment does work with the percussion and has multiple heat levels. A fantastic therapy tool. The vibration attachment works where all other percussive devices do not; on the delicate and sensitive joint structures. All this while maintaining what is to be expected of the basic attachments. They simply work as advertised. The heart rate monitor seems irrelevant, but potentially useful in isolated instances. The red light therapy is potentially a sugar pill. It might help. It might not. But it doesnt hurt to have it. Red light has been shown to be useful in tissue healing. Hopefully this adds a minor leg up to the therapeutic healing process. There are many additional digital guides for massage routines and breath work I have yet to explore. All the extras add tremendous potential but seem a little overkill. In the end the theragun itself seems high quality and worth the investment without any of the extra features. I most certainly would recommend if you are looking to maximize your personal therapeutic experience.

With the exception of battery life, the Theragun Pro Plus has been a superior massage gun thus far. The heat, cold and vibration attachments are fantastic. The inclusion of a USB-C charging port is nice. The price is steep, but if you wait for a sale and use your HSA, it's money well spent. The Theragun brand is the best on the market.

This Theragun PRO PLUS message device distinguishes itself as the top-tier percussion therapy device in the market. The moment I unboxed and examined the device, its meticulous craftsmanship, and use of premium materials became apparent, emphasizing its premium quality. Therabody has established a sterling reputation among athletes, healthcare professionals, and even myself who engage in workout and physical activity, making it the most trusted and reputable name in the field.
This sixth-generation tool is exceptionally innovative in its approach to addressing muscle pain, tension, and soreness that occurs after a workout or any physical need. It offers a remarkable 2,400 percussions per minute (with adjustable speed), effectively targeting deep tissues to relieve muscle tension, pain, and soreness.
The Theragun Pro Plus model boasts a compact, non-slip design that fits comfortably in the hand without leaving fingerprints. Its attachments securely lock in place using a snap-and-twist mechanism. The built-in battery adds to its convenience, and the build quality is truly impressive.
It is equipped with Near-Infrared LED Light Therapy, which penetrates deeply into the skin to enhance blood circulation, speed up healing, and reduce inflammation. I had a family member who underwent leg surgery, and the use of vibration therapy, in addition to heat therapy, helped improve circulation and reduce muscle spasms during the healing process.
In my home gym, I make it a routine to work out three days a week, and after each session, I turn to my Theragun for deep tissue massage and muscle recovery. The Theragun PRO PLUS comes equipped with five interchangeable attachment heads, each designed for specific purposes, such as targeting specific muscle groups or providing a softer or firmer massage:
• Standard Ball: Suitable for general body massage to reduce tension.
• Dampener: Ideal for tender or sensitive areas, offering relief from aches and pains.
• Thumb: Targets lower back and trigger points to alleviate knots.
• Micro-point: Enhances circulation and stimulates recovery.
• Wedge: Designed for shoulder blades.
The device features an LCD screen that guides you through therapy routines and incorporates LED light therapy. It also includes a biometric sensor to monitor your heart rate by simply placing a finger on it. The breathwork routine is exceptional, offering visual guidance on the LCD screen and measuring breath levels during inhalation and exhalation using the biometric sensor. The screen also provides instructions on when to inhale and exhale.
Moreover, the Theragun PRO PLUS offers smart features, including Bluetooth Connectivity. After ensuring the device was fully charged, my first step was to connect it via Bluetooth. The accompanying app is comprehensive, allowing me to personalize my routines, track my progress, and control the device remotely. The LCD screen provides real-time feedback on speed, force, and battery life. A physical button below the screen lets me adjust the speed range, which ranges from 1,750 to 2,400 percussions per minute, allowing me to customize the intensity to my specific needs. For treating lower back pain, I prefer a gentler speed.
For protection and travel convenience, the device comes with a neoprene carrying case, featuring two compartments - one for attachments and routine cards that explains the purpose of each attachment, making it very user-friendly and acting as a reminder. The Theragun Pro Plus aesthetically boasts a distinguished blue metal finish on both sides, with the branding name embossed. Charging is versatile through USB-C, and the cable includes both USB-C and USB-A ends (cable is included).
In summary, and from my thoughts after using it for a week now, this Theragun PRO PLUS offers a holistic massage device to treat pain relief and overall well-being with its range of therapies and attachments. Its exceptional design, intelligent features, and seamless app integration position it as a standout product in the percussion therapy device market. While it may have a higher price point compared to some alternatives, its premium quality and functionality more than justify the price range.
