Quality, namebrand PSU for a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a prior TT PSU that had died and was able to pick up same day. Unfortunately the first unit I picked up was also making fan noises, so I returned it for an exact replacement. The current PSU has been up and running flawlessly. The only complaint was as mentioned, my older, smaller wattage TT PSU had all cables wrapped whereas this only has the main connector. Makes for slightly worse airflow and design, but all in all, it has all the connections you'd need.

Good price, won't last long
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can tell it's very cheap as soon as you open the box. It worked fine for a couple of weeks, then all the sudden it started making a constant crackling noise. Unfortunately, Best Buy doesn't seem to make much effort on keeping the Corsair PSU's in stock so I have to wait who knows how long to exchange it and hope my computer doesn't blow up.

good overall PSU...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market of upgradeing my PSU and find this, "ThemalTake TR2 600w". The price was good and I take the change of getting unit seeing not many people recommend thermaltake. when i install into my pc, which is easy and turn on my computer and it's run cooler and quite. one thing that I hepe is the it's last long as my old cooler master 500 watt power supply.

great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using Thermaltake products for years. Good quality. But I've never bought one at Best Buy for $10 less than my no-service online supplier. This changes the game. The staff people were great. Good show.

Good price for buying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a 600w PSU, its a low good price to be found in chain stores. The manufacturer warranty is bad either. But if you are looking at dollar savings you have to compare efficiency. When looking over great buys to replace items, ensure to do your research on specifications that are not listed. The good quality PSU has an 80% efficiency. This is below that mark. Which means this PSU will give off more heat inside your computer then the good quality PSU. More heat means possible breakdowns and usage of more electricity.

Under powered
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This PSU is supposed to meet my demands but if I use the pci-e graphic card it will not work. I have to disconnect the power from my graphic card and plug into the onboard card in order to have a picture. Not a high performance graphic card just a HD 5770 but this won't power it. Getting ready to try and return to exchange for a Corsair 750w like I wanted in the first place. As others have said wires are a mess with the way they have them tangled, just a really cheap PSU. Don't think I will buy anything from Thermaltake again have a computer case that cost more but is really cheaply made compared to my Corsair or Rosewill. Seems they cut corners on everything...

Good deal great, PSU
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shh do you hear that? No? Me either that's my new PSU running. Other than the extra lines this was a pleasure to install. If there was no image on the monitor I would almost have to look for the lights to tell its running.

Dead right out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a big run around with the 650 I bought first But had to return because it had a 24 pin main and I needed a 20 pin, I was pleased to see that this power supply supply main could be separated from 24 pin to 20 pin easily. I was so pleased I forgot to bench test it and hooked it all up and hit the switch, Eeeh! Dead. I took it all out and tested it and nothing, bad. I am going to exchange it now. I will plug the new one in first and see if the fan at least runs before I do anything. I recommend you power it up first too, no fan, don't install it!

DOA
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this unit for my business computer which had already been down with other problems for almost 2 weeks. Installed unit and all connections, plugged up power supply, hit the start button and NOTHING! Tested system with a power supply out of another person's computer and it ran like a champ. That is my first and last Themaltake power supply. I wouldn't recommend this unit to the trash dump.

Better than the previous boat anchor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a dead modular 500w unit (bought on line from a now-dead company 8 mo's ago----------so much for warranties!!) Besides the "ungodly" cable clutter, 1 of the 12v rails doesn't work-plug it in to anything and the p/s obediently shuts itself off. Not exactly what one wants in a p/s!! But the good news is:: Best Buy honors it's warranties!! The RMA was smooth and simple.

Barely lasted 2 years..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought this due to a previous power supply failure. The previous one was very cheap so when it went, it didn't surprise me. I use this particular PC as an HTPC. It has a ceton cable card, a modest video card (PNY Nvidia gt 430) and a total of 3 hard drives. At $80.00 and a five year warrantee I expected it to last at least 5 years. I wasn't pushing the amount of power could handle, the video card says recommended 300 watts power supply. This is double.. It has more than enough power plugs but the bottom line is, you expect it to work and last and it didn't even meet half of it's warrantee. I bought a Dynex instead 400 watts. Yes it's cheap but I still have another one thats going on 6 years that I never needed to replace.

Dead On Arrival
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit initially powered on, but will lose power within about 5 minutes of use. I'm not running any crazy setup, just a standard light gaming rig with a single video card. This thing gave me quite a scare and already destroyed a perfectly-working Windows 7 installation due to MBR errors. While I'm ranting, I will also comment that the cables (while decently long) are not shielded and look terrible. DO NOT BUY.

Failed in less than 14 days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried a Thermaltake psu a few years ago, and it died in a few months, replaced it with a different brand, has worked since. Thermaltake seems to get great reviews on their PSUs from some respectable web sites so I thought I would give them another try. No difference, except instead of a few months, it was days. Going to stick with Corsair from now on.

Wouldn't Keep my Computer On
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my Rosewill 550 watt power supply. Once installed the computer only stayed on for an hour before shutting off completely. The next time I go it on it stayed up for 5 hours and shut done completely. It did this 3 more times before I decided to take it out and return it. Looks like the power supply was getting overloaded. Strange since my Rosewill has been powering my computer 24 hours straight with no overload or shutdown. Would not recommend. Looks like I'm going back to Rosewill.
