I got my hands on the ThermoPro TempSpike and I must say, I was very happy with the outcome. For years i've fumbled around trying to get my hands on a decent instant read thermometer. The truth is they were never very "instant", and no one wants to stand around with the grill lid open just to get a reading. Also many of those devices have plastic bodies which is a no go.
Enter the TempSpike. These probes are compact, and made with a fully metal body. So no fears of them melting. They are rated up to 572' F...sorry no broilers! The device comes with an awesome carry case that acts as a charger and repeater for the bluetooth signal. Also, the charger uses USB-C which is great because it means not having to have another bulky transformer to keep track of.
The app was super easy to install and pair with the device. The app was clean and was pretty intuitive to use. The data it gives you is internal temp of the meat, and ambient temp outside the meat. So this is pretty handy for keeping an eye on your grill temps. I liked that it had a pre-built setting for all sorts of meats that allowed you to customize the doneness. And what's great about setting your doneness temp is that the app will alert you when the meat has reached its final temp. It did this with a nice loud alert sound. And finally, it also provides an estimate for how long until your meat is cooked. YMMV on this, I noted that it didn't behave perfectly with a pellet grill since they go through such wild temp swings. I'm going to try a standard gas grill next and see if it maintains a more accurate estimate of cook time.
My only real knock on it was with the instruction manual. I had to dig through it to try and figure out its max temp. And more importantly, was it dishwasher safe? Happy to say that after a quick google search I was able to determine that it is IP67 and dishwasher safe.
I would and have already recommended this to others.

I've been grilling for over 40 years and have used a variety of methods to ensure the meats that I grill come up to the proper temperature. Most recently, I've used a quick temp probe which gives me a decent gage of how the meat is doing, but it has limitations. I have seen a lot of information about the next generation of temperature probes with wireless technology so I tried the ThermoPro Twin TempSpike.
I've already grilled several items with it and I'm fascinated at how you can monitor what is going on as the meat comes up to the right temp. I find by having two temp spikes that I'm able to monitor two different sizes of meat. If I'm cooking four steaks on the grill, you rarely have all of the steaks be a uniform size. Having two probes allows me to put one probe in a larger cut of meat and another probe in the smaller cut. This helps me keep from overcooking the smaller cuts of meat.
Setup of the temp spikes was very easy. They paired right away with the base station as well as the app. The app could be a bit more intuitive when it comes to customizing a temp or finding the right "doneness" temp for each type of beef, pork or chicken. Other than that, I was able to navigate my way around the app after a few tries.
Grilling technology has come a long way. The TermoPro makes it a lot easier to grill these days - especially with the price of fine cuts of meat.
Easy to set up and use, makes cooking VERY conveni

I have used the ThermaPro Twin TempSpike meat thermometer and have been quite pleased with it. The packaging was adequate, ensuring the thermometer arrived in good condition. Setting up and using the device was straightforward and intuitive, including the charging process, which uses a USB charging cable.
The thermometer probe begins reading temperatures immediately upon being removed from its base, a feature I found very convenient. Additionally, the built-in magnets, which allow the device to stick to the cooking equipment, were particularly helpful during use.
The thermometer can be monitored with an app on your phone, and doing so allows you to keep track of the temperature without having to be at the oven/grill. This is great for slow-cooking meats as you don’t have to keep going back to the kitchen to check on it. I found this to be very convenient..
Overall, I think that most anyone who regularly uses a meat thermometer would find the ThermaPro Twin TempSpike thermometer a practical and easy-to-use addition to their kitchen.
