The video file types won't play on normal video viewers nor be incorporated into video post processing software like Corel VideoStudio X9. The H50 Dashcam viewer crashes and locks up every 15 minutes and has to be closed with ctrl-alt-delete Task Manager.

I bought the F50 and that's the real deal works great day and night. plus bestbuy downgraded me and did not allow me to return this useless H50 dasmcam. So yeah bestbuy has a newly angry customer that will avoid them from now on.

I plugged it in to the lighter, and shot some boring footage right away. Wanting to see how the camera's footage looked, I took the camera to my desktop, and that's where the trouble began. The memory chip didn't seem to fit into the USB plug. (This was my fault; it goes into the side that plugs into the computer.) But being unable to see the footage was a bummer. Went to the product's website, where I had to dig to find a mention of the product. Then, one of the programs mentioned for watching the video wasn't to be found. By then, I realized that this product just wasn't what I wanted.

To view original H50 files, you will need to use the H50 Viewer software that is available for download at our website: http://www.thinkware.com/support/download. You will need to convert/save the files in a different video format for the video to be playable with other video players.
