Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston again are superb in their respective roles as Thor and Loki. Two things that would have made this movie better include the addition of the extended celebration scene as well as the extended battle scene in Vanaheim, as these scenes emphasized the bond between Thor, Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun. The second would have been the rumored original ending that would have had Thor summon lightning from the Nine Worlds to destroy Malekith. Eagerly awaiting Thor 3...

Thor The Dark World is the second film in phase 2 of the MCU and both a sequel to the first Thor and The Avengers.It's a fun ride with a more fantasy feel vs the the sci fi feel of the first film.The main weakness of this film is that the villain Malekith is a little undercooked.Christopher Eccleston does the best he can with the role but the character is overshadowed by Loki who takes a more anti hero role this time.Still,this is a fun time and a worthy film in the MCU.

Another great movie to add to your Marvel collection. The story could have been better but you'll definitely stay entertained throughout the movie. My wife isn't the biggest fan of these type of movies but she was pulled in when we saw this in theaters especially *SPOILER ALERT*.............................................................when Frigga (Thor's Mother) was killed. If you're a fan of Marvel movies you will definitely enjoy this.

This movie was much better in every way than Thor 1 in my opinion. Sure, Thor 1 had to set the stage and explain the characters in a larger universe than the previous Marvel movies had shown us. Thor 2 jumps right back into the space theater that makes Thor cool. Between a much better storyline, great effects, great acting and Chris Eccleston (the 9th Doctor from Doctor Who) as the villain, it's an entertaining watch.

I really enjoyed this movie. I saw it in theaters when it first came out, and I was planning on buying it once it released on blu ray. Found out about the best buy steelbook and immediately pre-ordered it. It was well worth the money, this steelbook is awesome. Great movie plus this awesome steelbook make for a well worthy purchase.

A lot of people talk negatively about this movie. It's not as great as other Marvel movies but it's a very good movie in its own right. Thor is a good character and Loki is a GREAT character. Every movie should have more Loki. It may require a little knowledge of the background story to fully understand everything.

This movie gets right into the action and keeps it going throughout, A better movie then the first Thor movie which was great! This one takes more elements from different Thor stories and melds them into this action packed thrill ride that will leave you thoroughly entertained! Great action and affects and story!

This movie is absolutely beautiful in bluray! Started collection all of the MCU movies. Have all my Iron Man's, Captain America, Hulk, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man. And both Thor and Thor Dark World arrived today. So extatic for this! Must get all in bluray for maximum picture quality.

"Thor: The Dark World", has the right mix of action, romance, intrigue, and humor to keep Marvel movie fans of all ages thoroughly entertained. Of course, the attractiveness and quality of the Best Buy Steelbook packaging make it the #1 choice for collectors too. Bottom Line: No buyer's remorse here!

Thankfully, Thor:The Dark World is an improvement from it's predecessor. The acting is better. The story is better. The action is better. The overall look of the movie is better. The scope of Asgard is expanded along with visits to more of the Nine Realms. Tom Hiddleston as Loki is, by far, the best part of the movie. He elevates every scene he's in. The final battle scene spanning across multiple realms is really good too. Still, having said all this, Thor:The Dark World still falls towards the bottom of the list of Marvel movies, along with Thor and Iron Man 2. For me, the Thor series is simply the filler for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A few cool scenes here and there (especially the mid-credits scene) and a great Loki performance prevent this from being a complete waste of your time. Bonus- The newest Marvel One Shot "All Hail the King" that's included as a bonus is pretty awesome. You could argue the events of that 15 minute short pushes the MCU further than T;TDW does.

The movie itself is a good follow up to both Thor and The Avengers. I prefer this movie to the first Thor. I got the collectible steel book packaging, which is among the coolest packaging cases I've collected. The special features are not to be missed, the Marvel One Shot: All Hail The King is excellent, as is the feature for scoring the movie.

Marvel movies are so much fun to watch and re-watch because there is always some bit of action you catch the second time around. I really enjoyed this movie, especially Loki and his humor. I am a Disney/Marvel movie nerd, so this one was a must-own anyway, but the DVD extras and how great it looks on blu-ray made it even better! :)

Thor is a great character and a great film, so when Thor: The Dark World came out, I was ecstatic. However, I didn't like the sequel as much because it kept cutting back and forth scenes from Earth and Asgard, plus there wasn't a lot of great character development. The action scenes are better, but I wanted a better story. 7/10

Due to the age of my youngest child, I don't get to the theater as often as I would like to. I really enjoyed this entry in the Thor series. Lots of over the top comic book action with quality acting. Throw in a $5 Cinemanow credit and this was a great deal.

I loved the non-stop action. Familiar characters from previous editions helped this story line go straight to action without a lot of setup. There is a lot of comedic interludes. And when will Thor stop being so naive? Can't wait for the nest edition.

pretty much every marvel movie is watchable, at the very least. this one isn't great, but generally I liked the whole fantasy Star Wars kind of vibe they were going for. this blu ray includes the last one-shot short film and it's a good one. I still almost can't believe Ben Kingsley took part.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and felt it was a great follow up to the Avengers and the first Thor. Same cast and more action packed than the first one. Good cast of characters and allowed an open eye to a different world in the Marvel Universe. Recommend it as the video and audio was great.!

I was going to purchase the combo pack, but I saw it only had Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray and Digital Copy. No DVD. And the DVD did not have as much extras as the blu-ray, being my reason for purchasing it. That was my only issue. No DVD with it.

Best Buy did Disney hit the nail on the head on this one! I think these steelbooks sold out on the first day!! very collectible and affordable.. Thor 3D movie for only $22.99??? that's crazy good!! oh and the movie was entertaining :)

Marvel has the recipe when it comes to making these movies successful in the box office! I'm not too sure what DC is doing but they definitely need to take notes! This is a great movie to watch multiple times and it even has a sneak preview for the new Captain America movie.
