The workhorse backpack I've been looking for.

This backpack is the magic bag of holding I've been looking for. I travel a lot for work, anywhere from across town to across the country. For me, this bag comfortably holds two computers and an iPad, and still has room for a bunch of other goodies (maybe my Switch, maybe my folder of work paperwork, etc.) Plenty of pockets for pens, mints and such as well. And as someone who wears prescription glasses, the hardshell sunglass compartment is a lifesaver (but still use a case; there's room.) The double drink holders are great when I take trips to the Southeast in the dead heat of summer; I need all the refreshment I can get. The stitching is good, the zippers are good, and while I'd buy another one if anything happened to this one, I don't think I'll ever have to.

The overall quality is durable. I like how its waterproof. Also, there are 3 seperate compartments. Most backpacks ONLY have 1 or 2. It can support up to 55 lbs. + the support strap helps. I really like the breathable mesh, it cools me down. For the price you paid, its worth the money. You get all this technology for a few extra bucks; instead, of the standard backpacks with no weather proofing capability nor durability. Of course, it always helps to buy accessories.

There is no comparison for what the Swede’s do in making backpacks. The leader of the pack is Thule! You can tell from the engineering and the thought process that goes into putting this type of backpack together. I’m a firm believer you get what you pay for.

I love my bad and I am sure my bag was one and a million that was defective. I have had my bag for one month and my top Handel ripped off. I am going to see if Best Buy will replace it, if not I know the manufacturer will.

The Thule EnRoute 27L Escort 2 Backpack is a versatile and practical choice for those seeking a blend of functionality and style in their everyday carry. Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to class, or exploring the city, this backpack aims to deliver on several fronts. Here’s a closer look at its strengths and weaknesses: Pros: Ample Storage Space: The 27-liter capacity is well-suited for carrying daily essentials, including a laptop up to 15.6 inches, textbooks, and other gear. The main compartment is spacious, and the multiple pockets help keep items organized. Durable Construction: The backpack features robust materials that are both water-resistant and durable. The strong zippers and reinforced bottom ensure that the backpack can withstand daily wear and tear. Comfortable to Wear: The padded shoulder straps and back panel are designed for comfort, even during extended periods of wear. The adjustable straps help distribute weight evenly, which is great for reducing strain. Organizational Features: The internal organization includes a dedicated laptop compartment, a tablet sleeve, and various pockets for smaller items. This organization helps keep everything in its place and easily accessible. Sleek Design: With its modern, understated look, the Thule EnRoute 27L Escort 2 is versatile enough to complement both casual and professional attire. Its sleek appearance makes it suitable for a range of environments. Cons: Limited External Pockets: While the internal organization is excellent, the backpack lacks external pockets for quick access to items like a water bottle or phone. This can be inconvenient for those who prefer easy access to frequently used items. Price Point: Thule products are generally priced at a premium, and the EnRoute 27L Escort 2 is no exception. It may be considered a bit expensive compared to other backpacks with similar capacities and features. Bulkiness: For some users, the backpack might feel slightly bulky, especially when fully packed. This could be an issue if you prefer a slimmer profile or need to maneuver in tight spaces. No Water Bottle Holder: The absence of a dedicated water bottle holder can be a drawback for those who rely on having easy access to hydration throughout the day. Limited Color Options: The color choices for this model are relatively limited, which might not appeal to those looking for a more personalized or vibrant style.

Handle falling apart 1 month in

I really like this backpack, but its over $100 and the handle at the top should not be coming off already. This is a clear weak point in this backpack if you read other reviews. Its a large backpack so it should handle much more weight than I've been putting in it. 2 laptops, over ear headphones, charging cables, and some misc adapters. The other negative is that the pockets in each zippered enclosure are placed so if you try to slide anything in, it catches the pockets since they sag open. Cheaper backpacks include a small flap over the pocket so things wont catch it, or fall out of it.... Positives is that it has a lot of pockets and can easily/safely pack 2 laptops. The compression straps make it easy to strap up and slide under a plane seat, which is really nice on such a large backpack. The water bottle pockets are deep and haven't started to stretch out yet, they fit every bottle/coffee container I have. The hardshell pocket is nice, but its oddly shaped and I can't fit much in there. I use it for my mouse and some adapters, just so they're quick to access... But with the strap failing on such a high price backpack, I can't recommend it.

If you are looking for a great backpack look no farther. Click add to my cart and buy it!! I had incase backpacks before. The were great when I had less gear. Now that I have a MacBook Pro, a large and small iPad Pro, multiple connectors, mice, sunglasses etc.. This backpack is a vast improvement. It is made very well and has reinforced straps. It is very comfortable. I haven't run out of space yet and just keep piling on more stuff. It has met the need and really been a great way for me to stay organized and keeps my gear portable. Geat quality, plenty of pockets, massive storage, and great protection are just a few of the reasons to make this your next backpack. What if you don't have that much gear? No worries. It is still light weight and compact enough but gives you ability to expand as needed.

Love the bag, tons of room for multiple laptops/tablets with a hydro bag strap and pull through in the large compartment. Has a hardened sunglasses/glasses compartment and plenty of securing straps and buckles. Zipper pulls are high quality and the large compartment zippers have thumb hooks for easy one handed use. Great everyday bag, which is what I use it for, but also would be a great hiking or camping bag. Quality is what you would expect from Thule. Would definitely recommend.

I carry this bag 100% chocked full on a normal basis and have for several years now. I carry a 16” MBP, 12.9 iPad Pro with the Bryce keyboard, multiple cables in a zip bag, chargers, extension cords, plastic clipboard/container, paper, multiple writing utensils, a Logitech MX ERGO, a metal stand for my iPad, a Apple MagSafe battery, an Anker battery charger, an ATT battery charger, 2 soft cover books, a rechargeable book light and a Fenix flashlight. All these make for an extremely heavy bag. Extremely durable with strong zippers, loads of smartly placed spaces with no shortage of straps and places to clip to. There are no signs of ripping, tearing or coming apart at the seams. This bag has become my daily driver bag which was a slightly smaller Thule bag that I also still use.
Buy this bag and you will not be disappointed.

I can't say enough good things about this backpack. It is the perfect size, has the best laptop compartment of any bag I have owned and looked at. The pockets on the sides for water bottles is deep and the straps allow you to secure all of your belongings on the inside so they aren't moving around when wearing the bag. The straps are great, quality is amazing, water repellant fabric is awesome. Seriously look no further this bag is the best out there and worth every penny.

good: - has enough storage - well built and comfortable when on shoulder Bad: - very expensive compared to even swiss gear (I have tried atleast 10 different backpack before choosing this) - It doesnt stand on its own (has to lean on some) because of the top storage. It looks very awkward where it is top heavy. You will notice this when u access the first zip especially

A great travel bag with three partitions to put laptop charger/adapters, documents, some clothes and also easy access iPad and laptop slots. Two bottle holders on the side and a hard shell place to keep your sunglasses. During my travel it housed all my important documents and gadgets needed for travel, with its strong rigid and robust design and material it is the best choice available in the market.
