You can tell that this case is designed to protect the computer. It has little feet that grip a surface and keep it from sliding. It has an edge that absorbs a fall to the floor and prevents breakage, It has a plastic surface that protects the outer face of the computer. It remains on all the time even when using the computer. The edge becomes sort of a handle allowing you to get a better grip on the unit also preventing dropping it. It is hard to put on the first time, but keep trying and you will get it.

Pros: Nice alternative to a sleeve, offers more protection if dropped. Nice rugged look. ( fortunately I have not tested the dropping part.) Cons: Pricey. Thick and sort of defeats the slim design of a mac book air. Overall: I like it. The thickness is a compromise I am willing to take.

Baught this case for my daughters laptop. It was difficult to figure out how to get onto laptop, but once we got it on it fits great and is a great protector for her traveling laptop.

After installing it soon became obvious that opening the laptop became difficult. The lip of the case is not easy to.open and requires a lot of practice. The protection factor is good but there are no cooling vents.

Thule's Protective Bumper offers durable protection for your MacBook Air. Admittedly, it does add a bit of weight and thickness. The thin clear protection shields are a bit frustrating to align. Nevertheless, I feel my MacBook Air is extremely well protected.

Light weight saves it just incase gets dropped inside the house doesn't look bad

I was a bit skeptical at first but, knowing the quality Thule offers ( we own other thule products) we buaght two for both the Ipod airs we had purched. a bit difficult to install but , once we figured out the first one the second was easy. love the fact that it is light weight and looks awesome.

better then the average snap case, i use my macbook air on the go alot, and have often wanted something to harden the protection because in the past i have had the average snap on and it cant last past a single drop or bump in a backpack, but this case can take a beating and keep the computer looking new.

My son is required to have a case on his school laptop. This fit the bill perfectly and he thought it looked much cooler than the average cover.

This protective bumper provides a good sense of comfort against a slight mishap which could damage my new MacBook Air. I looked everywhere for it (even the Apple Store) and could not find one. The Apple Store steered me to Best Buy. The bumper is a tight fit, as well it should. Best Buy Staff 'snapped' the bumper onto the Macbook Air for me. I was just not comfortable 'snapping' it on. I would only ask for a variety of colors. I am not giving an Excellent Rating yet because I have not dropped it and don't know if it will protect it from damage.

Great protection for my Mac!!! Is fitted perfectly!! I only found one color (blue). Would have love different color for my two Macs'.

i have gone through too many of the other hardcases available for macs, over and over again they save the device but don't last past one bump or drop, well this case not only protects but it sticks around to keep protecting your investment.

This is our second Thule Case to protect my teen’s MacBook. Her first Case wore out as the clips broke after 2 yrs of daily use. She takes her laptop to school with her daily. Great protection

This case is great. It protects my air book from damage if dropped. I don't need to deal with any other case to protect it. It raises the computer off the table so it doesn't get hot. I highly recommend it!

Got this while in search of a case for an 11" Air. Upon installing it, it made the sleek look of the Apple look cheap and bulky, kind of opposite to a large draw of Apple to begin with. I am sure it would protect well against drops and so forth, but ended up returning it because it wasn't right for me.

Just recently got a MacBook Air and knew I needed to protect it . The 11 inch cases were a rare find but I found this was and glad I did . Easy install and doesn't add much weight to bulk.

Im really happy with the case, already dropped the laptop once and it protected it well. Super Happy!!
