excellent protection for my mac air.
You can tell that this case is designed to protect the computer. It has little feet that grip a surface and keep it from sliding. It has an edge that absorbs a fall to the floor and prevents breakage, It has a plastic surface that protects the outer face of the computer. It remains on all the time even when using the computer. The edge becomes sort of a handle allowing you to get a better grip on the unit also preventing dropping it. It is hard to put on the first time, but keep trying and you will get it.

nice but pricey
Pros: Nice alternative to a sleeve, offers more protection if dropped. Nice rugged look. ( fortunately I have not tested the dropping part.) Cons: Pricey. Thick and sort of defeats the slim design of a mac book air. Overall: I like it. The thickness is a compromise I am willing to take.

Great case for traveling laptop
Baught this case for my daughters laptop. It was difficult to figure out how to get onto laptop, but once we got it on it fits great and is a great protector for her traveling laptop.
