After viewing the footage from a recent Cars & Coffee, taken with my action-cam, I realized I could have accidentally shot the latest shaky-cam horror film. I needed a camera stabilizer, but didn't want to pay DJI or GoPro prices. Lo-and-behold the Steadicam Volt, which was priced at a small fraction of those premium-branded stabilizers. After about 10 minutes of understanding how to stabilize my camera in the device (instructions aren't perfect, but I was able to figure it out after some fiddling with the device and its included counter-weights), the rest was pretty easy. Mount phone/camera, turn on device, and start filming! The FPS head-bobbing and unintended Blair Witch shaky-cam were easily smoothed out with this device. I look forward to using this over and over again, and it even collapses into an included bag for easy carry!

I love this steadicam. It’s easy to use and easy to recharge the batteries. Makes it great for me with Facebook live

It works with a great my Gopro 5, I like the its lite and easy to use. i have used it at sporting events and love how stead the video look. It works better than the gimbal .

Set up was fairly simple out of the box. In my opinion this is better for action videos vs regular day to day type recordings but stil great quality

I found this Steadicam on sale for $80 at my local Best Buy. I knew nothing about the Volt, but for the price, I figured I would give it a try. I'm glad I did! It's easy to use and the videos look great. I'm not sure I would have paid $200 for it, though.

I'm shooting a sitcom currently and this steady cam has really worked for me. Super simple to get up and running. Plus I got it on sale, so for what I got it for was great.

Does a good job for the money. Little bit clumsy to set up. Wished it was as simple as the DJI’s gimbal system.

A little difficult to set up but easy to use. Works well with smart phone or gopro. Be patient when setting it up

Good stabilizer for phone and GoPro. You have to balance it first before the use, but once you do it works well.

I wasn't expecting much. But, I was very impressed. We tried this on 2 different phones, Galaxy S7 Edge and Note 8. Stabilization was great. followed subject up 3 flights of steps, into house and down hallway. There was no wobble, it looked like an incredible dolly shot.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, he loved it! It did take some time to get used to it and to calibrate but overall pretty good

There are so many uses for this item. Hope to get many great smooth videos.

Maybe my expectations were too high, it just didn't seem stable especially in windy conditions.

I brought this home it was deeply discounted at the store. I charged the batteries before using. I wanted to use this with my iphone. It was very difficult to set up and quite clumsy. Never really got it to work. I returned it to the store.

I just got my Volt, it is very easy to set up and balance using the Tiffen/Steadicam video on Vimeo. They made it easy for a novice, the Volt holds on to my phone extremely well and once I turn on the video it is incredibly stable, even while running or jumping! I am very impressed and look forward to filming family events like a pro!

Ok, so although the wait seemed forever!! I'm SO pleased I held on. I purchased the Volt from my local store the minute I saw add to cart. I've been waiting to get my hands on this for real estate videos on my walk through. Following the instructions and online video I was happy to have this setup in no more than 5 minutes. I'll be testing all week and can't wait to see the results but so far I'm very happy. I use GoPro HERO5 (comes with mount in the box which you'll need to swap over from smartphone mount)
