I had purchased Titan Fall 2 due to the great things I had read about the single player campaign. I hadn't intended to bother with the multiplayer, I generally don't have time to get GUD as a father and busy professional. More on this late. The story of a boy and his mech is pretty much a childhood fantasy of mine, as I am sure it is for many people who picked this up. On this front the game delivers in spades. The story takes some turns and has some set pieces that are straight wonderful. Dialog with BT-7274 is a laugh, with his dry humor it brings a lot of light to what could have been played out as a grim tale. The satisfaction of finishing the campaign left me thinking I'd pack up the game and not play again. Then of course, I opened up the multiplayer on a whim and dropped into a round of Amped Hard point and my satisfaction with the game turned into pure joy. Multiplayer is easy to get into, it follows many of the tropes of most fps, but adds some legitimately fresh aspects. The ability to move and traverse terrain vertically and horizontally gives the battlefield a sense of tension you tend not to get in earlier COD games. Outside of choke points the enemy can come from anywhere. Calling in your Titan sets up a nice dynamic as the battlefield is traversed by giant Mechs who can wreak havoc in the right hands. However, by no means is there no recourse if you are on foot. Between anti-Titan weaponry, or simply using your dexterity and hands to rip away at the Titans vulnerable points the fight can swiftly go from what looks to be a loss to a victory. The combat never feels off balance. What I'm trying to say is Titan Fall 2 is an incredibly satisfying and immersive game. It deserves the accolades it has received, and I feel that if the game appeals to you it would be foolish not to give it a roll.

I don't usually give reviews but I had to for Titan Fall 2. I've played both glitchy Battlefield and garbage COD and they are just poor games. TF2 has a short campaign but it's was a lot of fun. But the jewel of this game is the multiplayer. It is so engaging and fun. Titans are a blast to play and very balanced, the guns, perks, and ordinances are fun and equally balanced. Highly recommend this game and best of all future content is all free!!!!!!

What a great game. While I haven't played the single player more than a couple of hours, the multiplayer is outstanding. There are plenty of modes to play and the action is fast. And seriously, who doesn't like laying waste to their enemies in a giant robot? Respawn is also releasing all integral DLC as FREE! I will (and did) support this decision wholeheartedly with my wallet, and I'll also toss a few bucks their way for the cosmetic DLC as well.

First off, this game has a surprisingly good single player campaign. Each mission has a game-play theme to mix it up. The game also doesn't overstay it's welcome. Once your done with the campaign, you can move on to the amazing multiplayer. The game-play loop is excellent, and it controls like a dream with the pilot or the titans. Another thing to consider is the DLC updates for this game are free. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.

With barely any experience with Titanfall, I was really looking forward to Titanfall 2. I played the open beta on PS4 and shortly thereafter bought the original game to tide me over on PC (I don't own an Xbox One). So how does Titanfall 2 compare to the first? Well, for starters, there's a single player campaign! After playing the original Titanfall on PC complete with all the DLC maps, I found myself questioning, "How was this game ever $60 in the first place?" Much like Rainbox Six: Siege and Evolve before it, I could see it being hard to justify full retail price on a game that basically equates to a handful of maps and multiplayer modes. In that regard, Titanfall 2 steps up. In the campaign, you play as Rifleman Jack Cooper (voiced by Matthew Mercer). Very early into the campaign, through tragedy he's promoted to the rank of "Pilot" and gets his own Titan: BT-7274. The campaign is great and gives you the opportunity to try the different new Titans out as loadouts before you get into the multiplayer. With some big action moments that make good use of the wallrunning and traversal mechanics, it's some of the most fun I've had in an FPS campaign in a while. Expect the campaign to take 6-8 hours. The multiplayer is back and better than ever. In addition to the new Titan types (6 in total), there are some great new weapons as well as a variety of Boosts and Perks to customize your character. Add to that tons of unlockable emblems and skins, and you've got a strong modern sci-fi shooter to pair alongside something like Battlefield 1.

I never played the first game, so I cannot compare the two. That said, I have been greatly enjoying Titanfall 2. I tried the CoD:IW beta and it felt really clunky. Titanfall 2 controls are so smooth. Wallrunning, sliding, shooting, and every other action you can take is fast and fluid. Don't just play the multiplayer, give the single player missions a try. The single player missions make for an excellent tutorial on how to navigate the maps and the story itself is very enjoyable. Also, there are puzzles in the single player that have a Portal vibe to them.

For at least the campaign. The story is kinda interesting, the parts that shine is the interactions between Jack Cooper and his Titan BT. The campaign really felt like portal in a sense where there were some platforming and puzzles to be solved using your guns and abilities. Multiplayer is super fun, feels exactly what Titanfall should be.

I am really enjoining this game! I did not play the first, as the reviews were mediocre at best. I don't have a lot of time to play games, so when I do, I want it to be accessible, high quality, and fun. This game has all three. What I like so far about the game are the single player game, the story, the action, and the giant robots.

The game is awesome, I really enjoyed the campaign albeit was extremely short. Multi-player is fun, at times frustrating due to some of the glitches when hopping from building to building.

As a person who has played video games for many years, I enjoyed the nuances of each consecutive Call of Duty game, and I enjoyed the hyper-realism of Battlefield. However, Titanfall 2, is really trying to do something that sets itself apart, and i believe it truly succeeds. If you're a fan of CoD or Battlefield, then your skills will transfer over easily. There is wall-running, cloaking, grappling, and all other methods of travel that make you -- the pilot -- a freerunning harbinger of death. Not to mention that you can call down a giant customizable mech suit that can shoot things from missiles to thermite. And even if you're not a big fan of playing online multiplayer, the one-player campaign mode is fantastic. It is so much more than just run and gun, clearing room after room. There are puzzles and tricks to completing missions that make it a challenging, yet fun experience. Also, the bond and rapport that you maintain with your Titan B.T. can be anything from silly to surprisingly heartfelt. Though it was severely overshadowed by some of the other FPS releases, I genuinely think Titanfall 2 is the best one on the market right now.

I never played the first Titanfall because it had no campaign, but I liked the idea of giant mechs. This game has a campaign and that alone would have been enough to make this game worth it. The gameplay is solid and they do a fantastic job of creating a bond between you and your mech. There's also a stage within the campaign which has a really genius mechanic that I won't spoil for you, but it's outside of the mech gameplay. It could've been its own game. The multiplayer is also great because they have different great modes, so when you're not in a mech, you are satisfying your Call of Duty itch, but when you're in your awesome mech (which they have various types which have their own strengths and weaknesses), it's a slight nod back to mech assault. The progression in multiplayer keeps you playing and coming back for more. I also have the Gamers Club and it's 100% worth it. Especially if you happen to buy collector's editions. It paid for itself within a month because I purchased the Fallout 4 Pipboy and it covered most of the expense there.

I loved the first one but the second one is way better. Respawn did an excellent job with the story mode this time! The multiplayer is also really good too. More weapons than the original and the new titans are pretty cool as well. If you liked the first one you'll love this one.

I only purchased for the single player campaign and did not buy the first. It turned out much better than I imagined it would. The controls are what you'd expect from a great shooter and the story is okay but keeps you interested. Not as bad as the initial sales numbers.
