Less than one month of use & the TiVo has already used up 37% of storage space. Thankfully I went with the 1TB model to achieve the goal of reducing the cost of cable TV by eliminating the monthly set box rental fee. It has a feature that allows skipping commercials that I didn't really care about, but now appreciate. The TiVo service allows for online viewing of your recorded and live programs as well as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime & You Tube.

Had a TiVo Prrmiere for years, just upgraded to TiVo Bolt, very good product, simple to use, love the redesigned features

I have owned 3 Tivos over the last 15 years. The bolt is fast, configurable, and can be setup in 30 minutes by almost anybody. The lifetime service price has increased, but for me, it is worth the money. Smart TV apps are no replacement for the best DVR made. The Tivo Bolt.

Between Direct TV and cable (internet and phone), I was spending $270 per month. I mostly watch about 5 channels of TV (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS) so I really don't need the other 167 channels. What I did need was a recorder (DVR), which I had with Direct TV. After a little research, I decided to get my 5 channels 'over-the-air' (all for free and in HD). But the problem was, I still needed a recorder (DVR), in comes Tivo. Set up was fairly easy, I input all the shows I wanted to record as they were being broadcast in Tivo's One Pass. In regards to other programming, I'm an Amazon Prime and Netflix member, their apps are in the Tivo program so it's really easy to stream content from both those providers. I did sign up for Hulu ($15 per month commercial free) to have access to previous seasons of the more popular shows. The only thing I wish Tivo had was HBO Now (they have HBO Go but you need a cable connection for that to work) and ESPN. I've always had Apple TV, so I get my HBO Now via Apple TV. It would be easier if it was available through Tivo.

Super fast, large amount of storage, and easy to use, great device for my whole home entertainment needs.

Love the SKIP feature - this alone was worth selling my old TiVo HD. The 4K and 1080P output was a noticeable improvement. The RF remote is awesome - no more pointing! The new Guide (in HD for the 1st time) is great - easy to see all shows for the next 1/2 a day on every channel. I don't miss a thing anymore. The 4 tuners are great, only needs 1 Cable Card. Moving the power supply outside the TiVo like a laptop is good. Moving the setup/config to the firmware makes HD upgrades easy. The tiny 3 lb box is so easy to move around. The shape simply SUCKS - doesn't sit flat on other components A Delete All option would be nice. All the apps built in are a great idea- spotify, netflix, pandora, hulu... This is in addition to all the reasons TiVo is better than any DVR.

Small Lightweight, Uses 1TB laptop HD. Runs Cool No way near as hot as the others, Very fast !!

Long time (15 years) TiVo user. The Bolt is a great upgrade. You can skip right past commercials on most but not all shows. Not sure why. But when you can it's awesome. Being able to record four shows at once is good but wish there was a six channel option like on the Roamio.

Decided to cut the cord and the TiVo Bolt works great. I was used to dish's hopper DVR and the Bolt does not disappoint. Has similar features and works great with OTA signal. Also enjoy the streaming App for my iPad and iPhone

This update has super fast response and the updated guide seems a little flat to me, but worth it for SkipMode and QuickMode and Channel Logos in Guide. A lot don't like the bent design, but I am so-so on it. Many people still don't get that TiVo actually SAVES you money by being able to return and save rental costs on the cable boxes and Fees (DVR, Addt'l Outlet, etc). I pay MUCH less using tivo per month than if I had the worthless TWC services and boxes! Bolt makes it even better!

Great system. Easy to use and setup. Very nice upgrade from previous models. Records on four channels. Shows can be viewed from TV or Internet with One pass (former season pass).

This is a great DVR, I am on my 3rd version of Tivo boxes, and everyone has been a nice step up in features. The only thing I don't like is the color, wish they would of stayed with black! Buy it you won't be disappointed!

We have been using the TIVO system since they partnered with DirecTV many years ago. We have been very happy with its intuitive interface. We decided to upgrade to the new BOLT model to take advantage of its advance features. We were a little apprehensive of hoe difficult it might be to use those features. But TIVO took all of our worries away. Everything worked as promised. We went bak out two weeks later and bought a TIVO Mini to replace another TIVO unit that was nine years old. It still works fine but the advantages of having the Bolt and Mini together made it a simple decision. We love our TIVO!

Great product to replace your cable box and DVR. Provides 4K Ultra HD capability and also makes searching and recording programs extremely easy. Very user friendly. Great product from TiVo. Only negative is that it does not provide out-of-home streaming of recorded programs or tv.

Def a major upgrade for recording digital HD content and streaming HD content. The smartphone app is also a plus . Only issue I'm having is adding an external storage Hard drive but once that is rectified this will be the end all between all.

Apart from the new skip feature and the 4K resolution this tivo is also so physical different from all the previous tivo models with it's angle shaped small and white color appearance, which gives it a more modern look. I had already own the series 5 Tivo Roamio Pro (3TB) with 6 tuners and was very disappointed that Tivo choose to downgrade it's latest box to 1TB (only upgradable to 1TB more with an external add-on drive only available from Tivo currently) and just 3 tuners. If you want 4K which is mainly for future you don't have a choice. I also had problems with the first Bolt box I purchased that rebooted on it's own and returned for exchange with Bestbuy's great return policy. With both bolt boxes I had an issue where my new Samsung 4K TV had audio and video dropouts which I resolved be buying a higher quality HDMI AudioQuest cable from Bestbuy.

This is way better than my TiVo HD (Series 3). Streaming, skip, quick mode, etc are awesome. Wish it would stream out of home, but hopefully that is coming.

I love this TiVo! I've tried many others and this one is the best by far.

It's of course the best Tivo and I know it's set up for 4K tvs which I have but I do wish they'd included component outputs too for a person using a slingbox like myself.
