I bought this because it seemed like a great value, especially with the 1 year of free service. I had DirecTV and this works as the DirecTV DVR but has more features like skip and slow-mo. There are a couple of issue I have: 1)On-demand is not available. I have Charter cable and can't get their on-demand. 2) No wifi for Tivo mini. Would love to set up more tivos in other rooms where I have no cable line. The DirecTV genie was an amazing feature, Tivo needs to offer something similar.

We've been TiVo customers since 1999 and the TiVo Bolt is the best model yet. With the free year's usage and a reduced price after that, it pays for itself in a little over a year.

This is a great substitute for a cable dvr box. I love it! Only thing I would like to see is more subscription service apps added. They haven't add HULU yet, and hopefully they add HBO and Showtime soon.

I got the bolt to record local channels and watch them later skipping the commercials. It does that well. The four tuners pull in all local channels from my antenna in the Detroit area. Minis connect to the bolt and allow additional tvs to access the bolts tuners and dvr. Once and awhile, I have handshake issues between the bolt and my LG OLED tv, especially with 4k material. A restart usually helps. Seems 4k is still a little rough around the edges.

Finally cut the cord. The $100 a month savings with no DirecTV bill will more than cover the costs of this TiVo Bolt in a few months. Couldn't be happier.

Easy to setup on VZ Fios. Plugged in the cable card. Updated the box with the latest firmware, which took about an hour and it was ready to go. Needed some assistance with linking the tivo mini to the MoCa protocol, but customer service helped me figure it out via chat in 10 mins. Everything works perfectly and no longer paying for cable boxes.

I purchased the TiVo Bolt to replace a 3-Tuner Moxi HD DVR which did not support the Comcast MPEG-4 upgrade. The Bolt has good performance and picture quality. Even factoring the annual service charge (which includes a warranty!), it's a deal compared to Comcast's X1 DVR. One thing also to note is the TiVo Bolt can access Comcast OnDemand.

I love Tivo. Television my way is the only way to go. For some reason commercial free television isn't what anyone wants for consumers. The reason why is that in less than 2 years I've had to call customer service and replace my Tivo 5 times for multiple reasons. Such as, hard drive failure twice, TV tuner channel error with Netflix error, and complete motherboard failure. So, keep in mind when you purchase that you'll be on the phone for awhile every 6 months. Customer support is starting to get sick of me because they said today that there is an error with the refurbished Tivo's being sent out and they knew about it. Why they keep sending them out if they don't work is beyond me.

Such an upgrade over traditional cable company DVR boxes. It will cost you $100 year to keep running (TIVO subscription) and you will need a tuning adapter and cable card, which are provided by your cable company. Little bit of a hassle to get that up and running, but so worth it.

Much faster and love the QuickMode and SkipMode features to speed through without losing sound and to instaneously skip all commercials in between program segments. Very easy to set up. Downside is monthly fee or the higher product lifetime service than in the past.

watch lots of good shows on tv with good connection

I love the new Tivo Interface and incorporating all the Apps such as HBO GO, Amazon, Hulu and Netflix it makes my Cable Box a one stop shop for all my content. I added a TiVo mini and now the bedroom has all the same features. It really is a great device.

The TiVo Bolt has all the great features from the previous TiVo series but it's faster, so now the apps like Netflix, Hulu, Pandora are faster to load and more responsive, and the new features like SkipMode (to skip commercials) make this the best TiVo ever.

I love my TiVo Bolt one of the great DVR'S out there. If you want to record 4 shows at once you can do that. The new one boots up real quick too say if you lose power or something.what's great is it is ready for 4K.You can't go wrong with TIVO.

I read a great deal before deciding to purchase a TIVO instead of just using the Cable DVR. In my area I have Brighthouse and out of all the cable company DVRs i have experience with they are far better than other cable companies. The key fact in choosing the TIVO bolt was the promise of the ability to download my recording to my iPad. I travel about 60% of the time. I have used Slingbox and it is a get deal when your hotel has great Internet. If you have poor Internet it becomes unusable. Although I have yet to take a trip after installing my TIVO I have downloaded a number of my recorded shows. This is a feature no cable provider has that I know of. The only reason I did not give it five stars is I cannot get Brighthouse On-Demand programing. If it was not for that one minor shortcoming I would give it 5 stars. I have heard that is a shortcoming in my Brighthouse provider and that TIVO can work with this with other cable providers.

Relatively easy set-up. UI is different from prior Tivo devices and takes a little getting used to as does the reconfigured remote. Otherwise no issues and channel skip is awesome.

Replacing an older TiVo with the Bolt. It is fast, responsive and does what they claim easier than imaginable. Unified all searching for shows and movies from all streaming platforms.

Upgraded from our Tivo Premier to the Bolt to go with our 4K TV - love the new Bolt and commercial skip feature. Also new apps - including Spotify. Tivo is so easy to use - love it!
