We bought the Tivo Stream on sale for a great price. We wanted to be able to watch our Tivo Roamio out of home from anywhere and with the latest update, it works well. The biggest frustration was setting it up. At first, it seemed to go through the setup routine with no problem but wasn't streaming correctly but I found a fix on the Tivo Website and got it working. For anybody that is trying to set up the stream with a compatible Tivo but find that it won't stream initially, try these steps as per the Tivo forums (and backed up by a Tivo customer service rep via chat). This worked for us and probably should be a part of the setup routine.: 1) In the TiVo iPad/iPhone app, in the settings icon, select "System Information" under TiVo Stream 2) Scroll to the bottom and select "Make Service Call" 3) This will take some time to update the TiVo Stream. You can return to this screen occasionally until the Software Update Status says "Pending Restart". (ours never said pending restart but when the screen refreshed after the update was done, we went to step 4) 4) On the same screen, select "Restart TiVo Stream". This took 5 or so minutes for me 5) Now go back and try TiVo Stream Setup and let it redo the setup. Should work after this. Good luck!

This TiVo streaming device is very easy to install. The instructions are clear and if you have any problems, you can always call TiVo. The customer service reps are great and will stay on the phone with you until your problem is solved and you are up and running. We have not had a chance to transfer programs to another device yet but I'm sure that will be easy as well. You will need to download the TiVo app to your other devices (phone etc.) to stream or download shows, also easy to do. I love TiVo products, so if you have other TiVo DVRs this is another device to add to your collection of goodies.

This is great for people on the go. You can watch all your recorded TiVo programming from anywhere!!

I use my TiVo stream to watch sports when I cannot be sitting by my Tv. It works great on my iPad smooth video only about 30 secs behind the live stream on works as long as I am in range of my router. I also use it to send play my recorded shows in my appletv from my iPad. Very easy to set up use it at least once per week. Only complaint is TiVo does not have a free Windows app only one for iPhone & iPad. I have not used the android app.

I would recommend this product . It works as advertised and is a welcome addition to my home entertainment system . It work seamlessly with all our apple products and is very simple to use.

Excellent little device that allows me to stream from my TiVO.

Directions and set-up are clear and straight forward. Other than the noisy fan, great product. The fan noise doesn't really bother me since I have the device inside of a cabinet. If it was sitting out, you might hear it.

We bought this with the intent of taking our tivo shows with us when we travel. It's easy enough to download our tivo shows to our ipod and ipad but tivo's iPod app BLOCKS us from watching on tv via our video cable. So we huddle around the iPad and squint... You get the idea. It works but tivo's silly software decision on their app means it doesn't meet our objective. We would NOT have bothered with the Stream had we known what we know now. BOOO Tivo App.

I like the Tivo Stream, easily transfer your Tivo'd shows to your iPad or iPhone to view on the go. I have fast internet, but transfer is kinda still slow.

Best Buy honored Amazon Prime price match of TiVo stream bundle which makes this product very attractively priced. Good companion to the TiVo XL4 to easily download non-copy protected shows to my iPad for my commute and to manage content and upcoming programming. TiVo's app has a very easy interface making watching programs is a very pleasant experience. It is disappointing that I cannot directly view content over the Internet or use Apple mirroring to a TV. I recommend a Slingbox 350 to view from Internet or on another TV via Airplay or mirroring. I considered the Mini but don't want to forfeit of one of my TiVo tuners to use it.

I debated if this would be worth it or not, thinking I might use it occasionally. I use it almost daily. One way I use it is a sort of PIP; I can watch game one on the big screen, but still not miss a play of the other game on the ipad. It's also handy to keep watching something when I retire to another room. I didn't realize that to install the new app, I would have to update my version of IOS on the IPAD, so that made the initial install take a while longer than I expected. But once installed it works flawlessly!

Love being able to download shows to my phone and watch it streaming. The only reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars is the lack of wireless capability, other than that I love it!

The device is a good idea. Unfortunately, getting it to work took some effort. Still, occasionally and without any good reason for it, it streams in low resolution (hopefully gets improved in the future). Haven't figured out how (or if) I can do out-of-home streaming. Thought that this is the device's main selling feature, but the phone app error message says that the software on the device doesn't support it. So, dealing with technical details (glitches?) can be frustrating. Phone support in my case was pretty helpless and useless. Overall, it's still good enough to justify a purchase when you need it.

Tis is a good product. It is something that should be part of the TiVo itself. There is no need for another appliance. It works great. I would give it 5 stars if it worked outside my LAN.

I hooked this up with no problem and was streaming TIVO shows to my phone in no time. I don't even need to be at home now to watch shows off my TIVO. Easy and perfect.

Loved the first one so much that I went and got another one for the home setup. It does what it's supposed to do and is priced nicely :)

I purchased this back when DVR recorders were gaining popularity and do not regret my purchase. Tivo does come with a monthly fee to maintain the TV guide and other various services. Still own it after 4 years of use and have purchased the lifetime service from tivo for $99 which eliminates the monthly fee. (This is only offered to customers who have had their product for more than a few years and usually only offered when attempting to cancel service.)

Streaming from the TiVo webpage on a laptop is sometimes slow to load. The TiVo app on an android works better. Can't stream blocked shows.

TiVo already had a gteat app, though sometimes they cripple it when a new update release, but follow by a quick fix, that's good. But for this little box streams very well in a two bedroom apt. A moment to get the buffer full but beautiful on any iPad iPod , but as I mentioned, can NOT be mirrored with apple tv. But still for the $$ ok . The only other option is to get another box and subscrition.
