Ever since I first heard Atlus was making an RPG that was similar to Persona, I knew that I was going to get it and it hasn't disappointed me at all. While I know the game isn't for everyone and many people I know didn't pick it up due to how flashy and "pop-like" the game is, it truly is a great game. It has my favorite turn-based combat of any RPG I've ever played and while the story isn't anything special so far, it's still enjoyable. The songs in the game are memorable and its quickly become my favorite game for the Wii U.

I'm a big fan of the Fire Emblem games but have had only a passing familiarity with the Persona franchise so I was a little leery about picking this up. I needn't have worried, this is a great game that will appeal to any turn-based RPG fan. The combat starts off fairly tough, gets easier, then ramps up again; the music doesn't overstay it's welcome and the art is pleasing to the eye. If you've got a WiiU, this should be in your library.

The game can feel a bit linear at times, the localization isn't exactly perfect and it isn't exactly a completely new take on the JRPG formula, but the game's unique themes and fun, stylish dungeons kept me interested and helped me overlook some otherwise immersion-hurting flaws.
There's a lot of "Persona" in this game; if you like that series, you'll love this. There's also a lot here to offer for those unfamiliar with the HS sim/dungeon crawler, too. In summary, if you're a fan of JRPGs, you'll be a fan of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a breath of fresh air in the Wii U's RPG-lacking library. It's not a perfect game by any means – dungeons are repetitive and can overstay their welcome, difficulty spikes sometimes force grinding, story can impede on gameplay – but it combines one heck of a beautiful presentation with an excellent turn-based battle system to make for a thoroughly entertaining, stylish adventure. If you're a fan of JRPGs, don't sleep on this one.

If you are a person fan, you will love this game. If you are looking more for a fire emblem style game, stay away. I thought this would be a mix of persona gameplay and fire emblem, but it reallyi s persona gameplay with fire emblem characters.
That being said, I love both franchises so I wasn't disappointed. This was a great hold over until person 5.

I bought this game as a Fire Emblem fan not knowing anything much of the Atlas series Shin Megami Tensei that it continues. The battling elements are great and what I was looking for, the fashion part, not so much. I feel that for the price I got it at I am happy with it and have enjoyed the five or so hours I have put in so far.

Since its the same folks who made Persona and Shin Megami Tensei. You can expect a lot of similarity between this and persona. In fact, it plays like Persona or Shin Megami Tensei. If you like those two games, you wouldn't have any problem with this. The theme would be singing and idol, but underneath it all, the gameplay mechanic is there. I like it for the presentation down to party menu!

This isn't quite like other SMT/Persona games, but it does give you a taste of it. Honestly, it's really for the fans. The character designs are gorgeous and the music is nice. The Fire Emblem part of it is really just fan service because it's nothing like the FE series, but the art style really fits the characters too.

This game is a unique take on the JRPG genre and takes most everything you love about the SMT franchise and anime stylized J-Pop to provide an adventure in a Tokyo replication sandbox. If you are expecting tactical RPG elements like Fire Emblem then this game won’t do it for you, but if you like JRPGs and Fire Emblem/SMT characters then this will be enjoyable for you.

A Strange Crossover, Indeed

A Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem crossover could have gone in a number of directions, but what we got is definitely not what I would have ever expected. Even so, the gameplay is solid, the present-day Tokyo setting is fresh, and it stands as one of the Wii U's strangest and best titles. Pick it up if you're looking for a great, quirky game off the beaten path.

Fun game, but I'd only recommend this if you're very into the JRPG style. It's very colorful but a little wordy and straightforward for my tastes.

The different Japanese everyday things like stores and items you can interact with is fun, kind of gives you a glimpse of living in Japan at times but the game is a bit quirky and crazy at times story wise. Learning how to get your co-characters to work well in battle can be kind of difficult at first but once you figure out how to best use them in battle things get easier.

One of the most innovative RPGs I've played in a long time. Your extended members are actually helpful in battles via Sessions, there's quite a bit of side/optional content, and who doesn't want to play a game about arts and idols and performing--there really isn't anything else out there like it.

I love JRPG's and this is a great example of what makes them shine. Merging over dramatic apocalyptic scenarios with the life style of JPop. It works for me but I admit it is a weird choice. I love the inclusion and cross over of the Fire Emblem world.

Wonderful art style, engaging story, dynamic characters. Truly brings the charm of a SMT game with the familiar faces and personalities of the Fire Emblem franchise. Great crossover execution! Really unique experience.
I can't put it down sometimes.
