Not many people would have thought a Fire Emblem x Persona crossover was possible, but Nintendo proved us wrong. A lot of work went into this game, and it flew under a lot of peoples radar. A sleeper pick for sure.

If you are a fan of Persona/Shin Megami - this is definitely a game you should look out for. Wii U games are quickly disappearing; and this is one that will end up getting crazy expensive. Pick it up if you have a chance!

I took a chance and bought this onsale for $23 after GCU discount. My thought is that this might be obscure enough that they don't port it to Switch. Its a good game and I like the Fire Emblem tie in. For $23+ its a deal.

Fantastic game. Invokes the old days of grinding like crazy to take down a tough boss, but then taking time out for a silly side quest involving donuts. Would definitely recommend, as long as you enjoy challenging games and anime tropes.

This game makes you figure out enemies' weaknesses and plan your strategies accordingly. The tone of the game is very light hearted focusing on the Japanese entertainment industry. Yes, the game is censored for international audiences.

This game is very colorful and vibrant. The Japanese-only dialogue may turn off some people, but I feel that it's part of what makes the game. There are a few easter eggs that are directed to Fire Emblem fans and those are pretty cool.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a good exclusive for the Wii U, fans for Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem where the vibe of SMT teaming up with heroes from Fire Emblem in this turned based Role Playing Game. Simple combats, roaming in dungeon and a story about being a star to fight off evil.

Once again, Nintendo struck Gold in combining two really good franchises and making the game play amazing.Even thoughI have never really played much of SMT, this combination made it amazing to play. Great game!

I bought Tokyo Mirage Sessions on a whim and was really surprised how much fun I am having with this interesting mix of RPG and JPoP. If you have a Wii U and enjoy RPG games, I would definitely recommend the purchase.

Was a little wary about how a very japanese game about the idol industry could somehow combine the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei franchises, and after all the talk of censorship in the localization, but the core gameplay is solid, and it has been a blast to play through so far.

If you can look past or like the Japanese culture this game is seethed in, you'll find a pretty good experience. I've played my fair share of JRPGs and I have to say it's one of the best ones I've played recently.

This game really suprised me but it's a straight up solid RPG, a little too flashy for my taste but I like how colorful it is. The difficulty is just right for RPG fiends like myself. You'll have fun for quite a while too depending on what type of gamer you are.

Pros
+ Combat is balanced (not too easy or too difficult)
+ Being able to see the turn order for the current turn as well as the next turn during battle.
+ Able to switch party members during battle.
+ Battles give plenty of exp, yen, and materials so you don't really need to grind often.
+ Clever use of bottom screen for enemy info during battle and messaging allies outside of battle.
+ Likeable characters and a decent plot.
+ Lots of costumes
Cons
- The main character MUST be in the party at all times and you can only have 3 party members. Fortunately the main character is pretty good, but there times when it would have been better to not use him.

If you like JRPG's this is a great game to get for the Wii U. I had never played a JRPG but was looking for something different on the Wii U. This is a well made game, but is a
game that will take some time to learn if you are unfamiliar with JRPG's.

Tokyo mirage sessions is exactly what you would expect a Persona/Shin Megami Tensei game to be like so if you are interested in that series I completely suggest you to pick this game up!

Marred by Publisher's Localization Insecurity

First off, this is a great game. If you're a fan of Persona or the mainline Shin Megami Tensei series, you will like this as it is 100% Atlus goodness. The translation was also done by Atlus, but with a bad catch...
Nintendo of Europe which was responsible for enforcing it's arbitrary 1st party publisher policy on Atlus has resulted in a series of arbitrary and bizarre censoring/edits on the original Japanese version of the game for N.America and Europe.
Had the game been published by Atlus, the game would have been brought to fans uncensored, just see SMTIV and Apocalypse and Persona Dancing All Night as proof. Because of that flaw, I deducted 1 star.
Still, on its own merits the game is fun and the setting of modern, JPOP-py Shibuya is fun and lighthearted, but still as challenging as any other SMT game. A definite buy for RPG fans!

I like the Persona series and I like the Fire Emblem series. This is more Persona than FE, but that's not a bad thing. If you like Japanese RPGs, then you'll like this game a lot.

This is a great RPG. The battle system is a blast and I love games that actually take place in Tokyo. If you've never played a Persona game, this is a great introduction to them.
