Only buy if interested in online multiplayer, as there is no single-player campaign. More strategic and slower than run and gun of Call of Duty. No auto respawn either, so one must be careful. Good game , just know it's not another COD and multiplayer only

This game has been in the works for a long time now. Their are many videos and game play demos available on the Internet to view and all of them look amazing. This pre-order gets you an access code for the beta test to be held before the release. I have high hopes that the game will live up to the hype and anticipation.

This is a game that you can enjoy alone but will have much more fun with friends. It can be played in a tactical, run and gun form. You end up more on the run and gun than the stealth. I will say play tactically and talk to your team it helps. Overall its a great game so I would say worth the time and money.

Probably the most important thing to say is make sure that you have friends to play with, it makes the game a lot more fun. The matchmaking is still a little rough so relying on that is fairly frustrating experience. Leveling up to 30 is a lot of fun and will take about 15-20 hours. The endgame is currently pretty boring and broken. A lot of glitches and issues need to be resolved before this game can really become anything more than average.

The Division is relatively easy to jump into and learn game play. With the realistic graphics and map layout adhering to the NYC, you sometimes find yourself memorized by the street scenes before you. Lots of leveling, upgrades, and missions to play, which I need to go work on now.

Very challenging game, thought it was going to be a little more realistic than it actually ended up being though. 200 bullets and 8 mags later you might kill one of the enemies. Or even better trying to take down a rogue agent, lol. Good luck, If you don't go through your 1200 rounds of ammo first you might get him with your Granada, that is... if he doesn't heal himself first.
Altogether, I do like the game, it is entertaining, good time waster, but expected much more from this LONG awaited title. Wish it was much much more realistic, if I shoot you in the GD face, I'm sorry, but, you should just die.

This game was more fun than I was expecting mostly because of the well built 3rd person shooter gameplay. I thought it would be kind of clunky because of the rpg elements but it's really quick action once you have a group of friends together doing a mission. The game is very grindy though which is to be expected and that is really the only con for me. Even though it's alot of the same every mission its still fun every time I pick it up which I can't say for most of these type of games.

Info: I played the beta for ~25 hours. I stayed up all night playing the actual game (roughly 7ish hours) and am writing this review before I go to sleeeeeep. I'm focusing on a brief hit of the major topics to help you make an educated decision. In-depth stuff takes time and since the game has been out only a few hours total, I cannot pretend to cover everything.
Pros:
-How does the game run on PS4? Terrific. Booted up after install (I downloaded the game, no hard copy). No crashing issues, which some ppl were reporting during the beta.
-The game actually has depth in the RPG elements. First, Ubi really tries to make it seem like there is a good reason you are going to be spending hours killing guys. From ppl. coming up to you asking for help and breaking up robberies, it all seems like you have a purpose. The skill trees seem like they have greater depth than would appear at first glance, but I have barely delved into them, so they aren't factored into my star-rating.
-The side quests, or whatever you want to call them, actually have bearing within the framework of the story. Ppl are getting robbed by gang-bangers, so you take them out. Nothing groundbreaking, but better than fetch quests only (there are some of those, but I only recall 2 in my 8ish hours of playtime).
-Matchmaking is very very easy and fluid. If you want to play solo, you can do that, but it honestly is more fun playing with randoms than solo-at least at this point, since it is all so new.
-Graphics are very solid. Lots of attention to detail..it reminds me a lot of The Last Of Us. Another cool thing is when there are constant overlays of the city's maps, and from an outside perspective it seriously looks cool
-As cheesy as it sounds, the game makes you feel like you are an agent of a top-secret organization doing your thing to preserve life in post-apocalyptic NYC. It really does, and that is what matters to me.
Cons
-Really, the only cons at this point are the minor technical issues I encountered, such as clipping or textures not loading in the environment. Very minor stuff.
-Some might say the microtransactions should automatically be here, but the fact of the matter is I've paid them no mind and I never cared about them b/c I just don't spend money on them. Take that as you will.
-Accidentally shooting a teammate when you are trying to shoot someone who is rogue is absolutely infuriating and honestly needs some tweaking, in my opinion. I swear that a couple times I've gone rogue on accident for this very reason.
FYI: Since everyone compares this game to Destiny I wanted to state that I did not like Destiny, for a lot of reasons. I do believe that I will get a lot of time out of this game, however. Take that as you will.

I preordered the game and was also a beta tester, this game has the potential to be so much more. I always wish that they combined the best aspects of games to make one great game. It's open world post apocalyptic but there's no zombies or anything just "cleaners" and some type of military unit but you're on the right side of good versus evil. You can't go wrong with the game but right now regular gameplay max out is level 30 and dark zone play goes to level 99 but if I understand correctly DLC and game updates will eventually give you more to do. All and all an awesome game, glad I got it.

It actually is a really fun game, but unfortunately, none of my friends decided to purchase with me so I end up just playing a lot of solo which got old pretty quickly. The missions are fun enough and the story is cool since it is pretty easy to relate to...I found myself thinking about how scary it would be if this were to actually happen. The cover mechanic was probably my favorite part; that made me enjoy this a lot more than something like Destiny. Worth checking out.

The Division is a funny game to rate. I initially had no interest in this game, but as reviews began pouring in and I took notice of the story and gameplay, it piqued my interest to invest in the purchase.
What I found was beyond a pleasant surprise. The balance it has struck in an "MMORPG" style game, but with plenty to play solo is very well done. I had hoped a couple friends might also invest in The Division, but they haven't as of yet. But, here's the thing... Unless you're planning on entering "The Dark Zone" it's unnecessary to group up. Some missions may be more difficult to tackle solo, but through level 15, I've hit everything thrown my way with some challenge, but no major frustration.
Certainly, The Dark Zone is where the game wants you to go at some point, but UbiSoft's bugs and issues have been well-documented, and, as a minimum of level 10 is necessary to enter, I've stayed away until they iron things out.
The DZ itself has an interesting concept; the best loot and hardest enemies are located there, and the entire zone is multiplayer, friendly-fire enabled. All loot grabbed here is contaminated, and must be airlifted out. Once you've collected your goodies and send up a flare for pick-up, all players in the zone will see said flare, essentially giving away your location and telling all players "here I am, with some great stuff!" As there's no in-game voice chat, players approaching you may be there to help protect you or kill you and steal the loot you just spent time collecting. Even players you have teamed up with inside the Zone can be using you to help kill that big bad boss, only to turn on you as you await pickup.
That said, there is a downside... Agents who do this end up with a "Rogue Agent" title within the Zone, and those who choose to can, in turn, hunt them down for bonus XP and also steal their loot with no "Rogue" tag applied.
Returning to the single player for a moment, I've never seen an MMORPG-style game accomplish what The Division has on such a scale. Upon leaving your safe house or base, the entire whole of New York becomes an "instance" for you (no other players will be there with you, UNLESS you group with them prior to leaving). While you must be connected online to play, I've played the entire story out as a single player game. Another interesting thing they've accomplished happens within the main base; as you run missions and collect necessities around the city, the interior of the base changes. More vendors, more refugees, the interior, it all reflects what you've accomplished. However, as a hub for this community of players, others will only see the base as far as they've "fixed" it. Very cool.
As a gun-based MMORPG, The Division plays out very much like a hybrid- as opposed to say, World of Warcraft or Guild Wars, where a ridiculous amount of hits may be necessary to kill opponents, The Division falls back into a Gears of War style of play, where falling behind cover is necessary, as 1, 2, 3 hits may take you or the enemy out, with some exceptions in MAJOR boss fights. There's occasional "bullet-sponginess" that occurs, but I find that to follow the typical tropes of MMORPGs. A sniper rifle head shot however, still takes out an opponent in one hit.
The Division also features a crafting system like most MMORPGs, but at this moment, it's very light. Recipes are handed out at levels and story missions- there's no hunting for them in obscure places in the world. And while this ease of only a few materials is nice, one thing I haven't encountered is recipes that give specific bonuses. Every crafting session is a gamble on whether it will add a stat you're actually hoping to get. Hopefully, this is something they'll change, as it has led to some frustration.
The Division takes a lot of chances in a genre that seems to be content with their typical gameplay, and they're better for it. Not every gamble is perfect, and there's still some ironing out to do (not unexpected in the genre) but the game is excellent for the majority of it, and the ability to enjoy it as a single player game is an unexpected bonus.

This game is fun to play! There is a lot of "stat" building in the game. It is very fun to play with a group of friends or just go around solo and completing side missions. I haven't gotten to the dark zone yet, but I've heard nothing but great things.

I fell in love with the game as soon as I saw the trailer and so I knew that I had to buy it. I bought it in release day and haven't stopped playing! I already stacked 48 hours of gameplay and I still feel immersed by the story and multiplayer modes. The game is built in a way in which you won't get bored with better weapons/gear, stronger enemies along the way, and in case you get bored then you can test your skills in the Dark Zone where everyone is on their own against other players around the world. I can't put into words how much I recommend the game

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's an amazing game, or anything, but I have to say it is fun.It pretty much is a third person cover base shooter. It is like Destiny, meets ghost recon. It is a blast with friends. The only draw back is it is online all the time.I don't mind that, but I know most gamers do.It has some decent gameplay and a pretty good story. There is more good, then bad.It is one of Ubisoft's better games lately, just saying.

Was alittle worried this game would turn out like Destiny but so far I am diggin it way more, the start was alittle slowpaced and adjusting to the gameplay lagged me abit but once I adjusted and grouped with some friends it got way better!
