Tomb Raider is pretty good. It takes more after the recent games. There are a lot of scenes taken out of the games also. I think its a strong step forward for the franchise. It is much more serious and not playful like the old ones. Pretty much, it feels like Kingsman but just in a jungle, without the fancy toys.

This was better than previous release with Angelina Jolie but at the same time it could have been a lot better it seems too short and not enough action but not a bad try. Only 2 of the game action sequences are in this movie and if you've played the game you'll know it when you see it but like I said not enough action.

Much more prolific in adventure and updated technology, this story creates the needed interest in character and plot. Alicia Vikander owns the role as if she were the original and exhibits the bad good girl strength to keep the movie alive with no hint of celebrity attitude. The supporting characters, as well, keep the objectives in tow while fighting either with or against Lara.

I was never one to follow any of the prior Tomb Raider movies or games but I was pulled in by Alicia Vikander. I will say that the film isn’t perfect considering it’s rather generic plot. However the action pieces and Alicia’s performance really makes it a must see! Her dedication and acting ability really made the film worth watching and I am happily impressed with the final product.

More of an original retelling of the early years of Lara Croft, it's not exactly a prequel, more like it's own entity. I was a little let down by the 4k quality (other movies really make a difference) although the story and cinematic efforts were great, it just left me wanting a little more out of the picture.

An entertaining movie on its own and a decent reboot of two prior films.

Alicia Vikander is a great actress, and nails her part in this film.

So this takes some of the 2016 game but did not go all the way. I wish it did but you might as well play the game. Which is great by the way. But the story is ok at best. It did have a weak ending that I wish that was better. It does have a good enough story that I hope for a franchise out of this actress.

Tomb Raider (2018) isn't really a remake of the original movies starring AJ, but more of a new chapter in the Lara Story, if you like action adventure movies, this is for you, Alicia does a good job as Lara, definitely a 8/10. Picture looks great on the Blu Ray, comes with a decent amount of special features.

Okay, I did not expect much from this film but I was pleasantly surprised! It is a pretty decent flick! Now, in regards to the 4K Blu-ray, Wow! This is reference quality Dolby Vision! This is hands-down my current best looking 4K Blu-ray. The Atmos track is pretty good as well. All in all highly recommended.

It was done quite well, and looking at her earlier life is juxtaposed against the original movies. Alicia Vikander is an exciting young actress who has an excellent resume both at in Sweden and internationally. For me her star turn was the chilling sci-fi hit Ex Machina. I think she would make a perfect fit for Lisbeth Salander if they decide to make another Dragon Tattoo film.

This chick is not at all my pick for tomb raider girl but neither was Angelina for me either, so in both cases I think they missed the mark but I can tell you I will watch this movie again and I definitely will not watch the Angelina movies ever again after the one viewing so take that for what it’s worth.

Lots of action. Story follows the game and there are many things in the game that appear in the movie. Actress is not only pretty, but strong and confident, setting great role model for woman. (Maybe a little to ripped though-seriously those abs are crazy.) Knowing the game makes the movie more enjoyable.

The original tomb raider is way must better than this one.

The movie does a great transition from a video game into a motion picture (movie). Its different than the other Tomb Rider movies. It start from the beginning when she was younger. And leaves the ending for more movies. Good story, plot and the action is real good. I highly recommended to my friends.

Still partial to the Angelina version, but this was alright.

I really much enjoyed this movie in theaters and now I can enjoy it at home. If you’re a hardcore fan of the tomb raider series you’ll be surprised by the hardcore references and name drops but perhaps not so much by the movie. It’s still way better than the ones that came before. 7/10 for me. It’s good.

This movie is as not that great. I would rent or wait for Netflix.
