Tombstone is well-worth repeated viewing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've not seen the film I assert this is a very accessible Western even if you're not a fan of the genre. If you have seen it, then you likely agree that it's worth repeated viewings. I catch myself watching it when it's on Cable/Sat and have seen it every couple years for the past 2 decades. This all-time classic has an all-star cast to boot, Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliot, Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Charlton Heston and more. The transfer is clean and has never looked better. My only reservation would be if this is eventually released on 4k UHD Blu-ray in the future. If so then my brother or another sibling receives another gift :)

Wyatt Earp vs Tombstone..everybody wins.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are great performances in both Wyatt Earp and Tombstone. Tombstone focuses on the latter part of Wyatt Earp's life. Both films are worth seeing and owning.

Awesome western!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tombstone is an action packed western that features an amazing cast. Val Kilmer’s portrayal as Doc Holliday should have gotten him at least an Oscar nomination.

TOMBSTONE
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than Wyatt Earp 1994/2007, Tombstone 1993/2010 is tied as “Best of the Best” on the subject of U.S. Marshall Wyatt Earp. This is a very well-acted and told story and the director was very keen on getting the period details correct. A memorable movie that worth your 2nd view. This retelling of the events of 1879 Tombstone continues to show off well thought-out scenes and western vistas – all accompanied by a superb sound-track and brilliant cinematography. Robert Mitcham’s narration continues to be substantive and well-received.

Easily one of my favorite movies of all time
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I own this movie on DVD, DVD special edition and now Blu-ray. This is easily one of my most favorite movies ever. Russell/Kilmer had great chemistry in this as well as the rest of the cast. Really wishing they would release an ultimate edition in 4K however that's probably not going to happen for some time. Either way. i get to enjoy this movie in better quality than my DVD so that's a bonus.

Best version of the film available. This needs 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was holding out on buying this film hoping for some kind of anniversary Blu Ray or fingers crossed a 4K release. Since it's a Buena Vista (Disney) movie which rarely go on sale, I finally caved and bought it from Best Buy when I saw a deal. Knowing my luck, a new edition will be released soon. There's some great history in the making of this movie so I definitely recommend looking into it though you won't find too much about it in the sparse special features. The Blu Ray/HD quality isn't really anything to write home about, but it's the best version of the movie on the market. The 2 disc DVD "Vista edition" that came out a while back features a pretty meh transfer especially on today's larger TVs. Upscaling can only work so well. With a western set with a lot of warm browns and rustic colors, the HD upgrade is more than welcome. The movie itself is more of a western/action film than an old school spaghetti western. Fast pacing and exciting gun play with great performances from Kurt Russell, Sam Elliot, Michael Biehn, Powers Boothe, and the rest of the cast. Val Kilmer blows everyone out of the water, however, in an iconic turn as Doc Holiday. A different casting for that character separates this film from a stellar all time great western to a basic flick like Wyatt Earp. I really hope this film gets an anniversary upgrade or something because it's definitely deserving of some 4K love.

Another great job by Kurt Russel
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Havent seen this one in quite awhile. Lot of action, great acting, and very accurate historically. Not the Kevin Costner version. Picture was great, you forget in this age of 4k just how great Bluray is, but I would buy the 4k , I like this one that much. Might want to pass on it if you're squemish, but Val Kilmers performance had Oscar rumours and Dana Delany just lights up every scene she's in. Not the best Western but its up there.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great western movie one of my best favorites of all time. Been waiting for this Blu-ray format to come finally I got one, great deal, great price, for a great movie. Also, if you're a big Western fan, check out, the gunfight at okay Corral, with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. You will enjoy it, the story of Wyatt Earp and his brothers the old Wild Wild West. You should buy this movie Tombstone, starring Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer they were spectacular!

One of the Great Westerns!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Blu-ray provided a great picture and sound. This is one of my favorite westerns of all time. Kurt Russell plays legendary lawman, Wyatt Earp, and Val Kilmer gives a great performance as his friend, Doc Holliday. For good measure Sam Elliott plays Virgil Earp and Powers Boothe plays bad cowboy Curly Bill Brocious. Dana Delany plays Wyatt's love interest. You get the Gunfight at the Ok corral and lots of Western Action. Watch This One.
