I love messing around with my characters that reflect me and my friends. You can see who becomes friends and even start dating, and the situations they find themselves in are very funny!

Tomodachi Life is a simple little game with no real goal. You place all your Miis (Nintendo avatars) on an island you name and watch them interact. That may sound boring, but you too are able to interact with them. Play games with them, feed them, buy them clothes, and help them forge relationships with each other. Various events happen throughout the day such as a morning market, a gathering at the island café, or an evening rap battle. You can even enter the dreams of your Miis while they sleep which is extremely hilarious. All in all, if you want a simple and fun game you can pick up and play anytime, this is a great choice.

I've seen people compare this game to Animal Crossing, but I definitely feel it's more on par with The Sims. You watch over an apartment complex that you populate with Miis (up to 100), take care of them, dress them, feed them, the works. You can view their dreams when they're sleeping (which are always off the wall), try to play matchmaker with them (Ganondorf keeps trying to get with Zelda), or just sit back and watch them play. However, after a while, I found myself just getting on to do some favors, feed my Miis and buy the new items in the store. It's not so much a game as a simulation, and it does that well.

My girls, ages 12 & 15 really enjoy this game. We had to look in several stores before we found one because it appears to sell out quickly. It is popular. I don't have any details with regard to this game but my kids speak highly of it and tell me it's a lot of fun.

Do you have a child between 8 and 16 years old? Do they have a 3DS? If you have answered yes to both these questions, then buy this game. It is simply the most approachable life simulation videogame available (and the most adorable as well). Better than the Sim’s? Yes. Tomodachi Life is accessible and can be played is short bursts – perfect for younger gamers on the portable 3DS. Heck, it will keep the interest of just about any age gamer for many hours. Enter the life simulation of Tomodachi Life and the hours of your real life will disappear. Highly recommended…
