Awesome Action Adventure Film! The Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School is where the best of the best train to refine their elite flying skills. When hotshot fighter pilot Maverick (Tom Cruise) is sent to the school, his reckless attitude and cocky demeanor put him at odds with the other pilots, especially the cool and collected Iceman (Val Kilmer). But Maverick isn't only competing to be the top fighter pilot, he's also fighting for the attention of his beautiful flight instructor, Charlotte Blackwood (Kelly McGillis).

Always a classic. HDR is not that great, but that is probably from the use of historical war footage and grain over compensation. The movie is a bit cheesy, just like the extreme delay the sequel has in getting released. Still a fun movie to have in the collection.

Highway into the danger zone I am right. Listen if you have not seen this movie you are doing a disservice to yourself. I have owned this movie in VHS DVD Bluray and now in 4K. It does not disappoint. Eager for Top Gun to come out. Goose gone for not forgotten.

Top Gun has never looked or Sounded better...This 4K upgrade was totally worth the price...I have owned top Gun on every format available and this is the best it’s ever looked and the best it’s ever sounded. I’m so happy this movie got the 4K treatment plus a new atmos mix. If you love this movie it’s a no brained to upgrade!

If you like military fighter jets, then this is the ultimate film. Especially when we have to wait for the long overdue second installment. The filming was second to none, in regards to what the pilots go through in their training, and careers. True action film, with a bit of romance. My favorite fighter flick.

I remember watching this with my father when it first came out. So I had to get the 4K The video and the sound are fantasic on 4K. I loved watching it with my daughter before watching Top Gun Maverk!

Who doesn't like Maverick. Or, Iceman. This is a classic. It doesn't get any better than this. I could watch this movie over and over again and it never gets old. I miss movies like this. There's nothing like originality. It just doesn't exist anymore. Sometimes I wish I could just go back.

Finally got it on a 4K Blu-ray Disc and Blu-ray no less. I’ve owned it on dvd for 20 years. Owning and seeing this in 4K is like seeing it for the first time. The Dolby Atmos Audio is just unbelievable! Now waiting for Top Gun Maverick!

As this movie came out in 1986, they did a good job upgrading the picture quality and the surrond separation is very good on my sony 4K reveiver. The movie itself is great to watch, lots of action.

Being able to watch the original Top Gun movie in 4k high definition is really nice. I never get tired of watching this film over and over because it is a classic title in my library of videos now.

The 4k disc is done really well for this movie. I'm finding that these older movie that were produced on film will never have a true 4k resolution, but the process used to clean it up creates as digitally perfect of a copy as possible while retaining some of the grain of cellulose film.

Sooo check this out...I'm 40 years old. That means this movie came out at the prime time of my life where I should've been watching it daily...well...at 40, I finally watched it for the first time. Maybe I was waiting for the gorgeous 4K transfer and killer audio for 34 years...

There could have been more action to this already epic movie But then again the wait is almost over for the grand sequel which is not too far of a wait Excited, ecstatic and enthusiastic especially when they release the 4K copy of this masterpiece Hopefully I have the space and sounds ready for it

Visually, depending on your TV and player, you can tell its been remastered. But the audio is where this really stood out for me. I recently upgraded to a full Dolby Atmos set up in my living room, and this movie sounds amazing!

I saw this movie before on TV and I recorded it and I watched it and I liked it and I heard about the sequel that was moved to next summer and that stinks and this 4K was $15 and I have seen it at this price before and I saw it again and I took advantage of it and purchased this movie.

The movie itself holds up well from the 80s, and the 4K rendering only adds to the package. One of the audiophile bits from the film's beginning, listening for a chain being dragged along the deck of the carrier, pops out in a home theater as it did in the cinema. Well done!

Thrills, chills, romance and heartbreak combined in this timeless creation. I loved it in the 80's and I still love it today. Excellent cast. The soundtrack doesn't dissapoint either. A must see, must own.

This movie has Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer and a great story line. This movie showcases the F 14 Tomcat in all its majestic glory. Its a great movie about military power and might. It has good action scenes and some great comedic moments. I do plan on watching this movie again and again.

This movie is great, but the 4k quality isn't the greatest. Don't get me wrong, it still looks great. But there is quite a bit of film grain (present in the normal blu ray too), and I really prefer the look/quality of newer movies (such as Maverick) without the grain. Still a great movie, and I have no regrets on my purchase.

I already had this on DVD when it first came out but it needed to be shown in 4K. I consider this movie to be one of the top flying military films of all time. I would certainly recommend this to my friends especially if they hadn't already seen it and even if they had.
