Beautiful sound! This stereo is perfect for a 1000 sq ft condo. This small stereo has the sound quality of a much larger, more expensive stereo.

Perfect portable sound for use in my studio, the garage, and all over the house. I love that I can use Bluetooth to connect my favorite audible book or listen to the radio. I haven't tried a cd yet but I am glad to have that option as well. Nice sound and gets quite loud.

Just what I was looking for my small workroom. Good sound but does not take up a lot of room. I can use it for both my cds and mp3 disks.

This review is being posted for the Sharp - 50W Executive Hi-Fi Component System - Black Model: XL-HF102B and the Toshiba - 30W Main Unit and Speaker System Combo Set - Black Model:TY-ASW91. I purchased the Toshiba first based upon favorable reviews and it was a bit less expensive. When I received it, I felt something was off. I didn't expected it to sound like my multi-thousand dollar home theater system but it sounded "muddy" on all of the EQ settings for FM and CD. I was also not happy with the function of the remote. As many reviewers noted, the remote receiver required pretty much direct aim of the remote. I found I was constantly having to re-aim and re-press buttons. For these reasons, I ordered the Sharp system. I knew immediately that the Sharp was the better system. Keeping in mind that it cost $150 ($20 more than the Toshiba,) I could still hear a very clean sound. I suspect it is mostly due to the speakers, which are ported unlike the Toshiba's and the cabinets seem of a higher quality material. The overall responsiveness to commands was noticeably better than the Toshiba's even taking into account the Toshiba remote's difficulties. To make sure, I conducted several A/B tests with the systems side by side using my favorite FM station. No matter the volume settings and EQ modes selected, the Sharp out performed the Toshiba in every way. And the Sharp's remote is not picky about aim, either. I will note that the FM signal dropped out using the Sharp more often than the Toshiba but I didn't work very hard positioning the antenna. The Sharp has an AM band that the Toshiba doesn't but reception was poor. Again, I didn't play with the antenna much. [Update: After positioning the antennae properly, the Sharp's AM and FM reception is excellent.] I haven't had either system long enough to comment on other features like Bluetooth pairing and function, USB, etc. [Update: I paired an Android phone with the Sharp seamlessly.] If I hadn't heard the Sharp I would have given the Toshiba 4 stars but can only give it 3 due to the audio and remote deficiencies while the Sharp warrants a 5 star review.

great compact sound system. Very easy to install..handle and use in my every day activities. It has all I need and the quality is very good.

This small bookshelf system sound great for the price. The length of the speaker cables allow for you to space out your speaker a good amount. Bluetooth connection is a breeze and radio stations sound clear.

Nice compact shelf system with enough power to fill our grand room with sound. EQ presets are convenient and work fairly well. Bass is ok, but a subwoofer option would be nice. Good value for the price.

Bought for my mom who wants small speaker system. Great value and size, like bookshelf size. She doesn't want fancy technology so she really liked this.
