Like someone else the TV Is meant to last 2 years. For no reason the picture goes super dim and dark and makes it near impossible to navigate so you can do a hard factory reset. Beware. Designed to fall apart.

I just bought this TV and I am very unhappy with the picture quality. My screen has lights coming from the bottom of the screen and it is very annoying. It looks as the screen was pushed in. I will be returning this TV and buying a Sony.

For $200 on Black Friday, it seems like a great deal. The deal-breaker is an issue I see others on here have had as well. The TV turns on (volume only) by itself in the middle of the night for about 30 seconds and turns off again. As it does not come with any manual or instructions, we never set anything, so it cannot be the settings. The store said over the phone that it sounds like a manufacturing defect and to bring it back. Another issue (less important to me) is that is is supposed to be 4K resolution, but the picture is not of 4K quality. Finally, as far as a "smart tv" this one seems to rely on either your phone or notebook, rather than the TV itself. Bottom line - we are returning it and if I have it my way, we will put out a little more money for a TV that does what it is supposed to do.

I purchased this tv after sitting out for over 12 hrs at best buy during black Friday 2016. I have lupus so that was a task for me just to get a good deal but I sacrificed it anyway because I'm unemployed due to my health and have very little extra money for a brand new tv. Anyway, we got it home and to my dismay the picture quality is poor, IMO, its bright and not 4K quality even on HD channels or using a good dvd player to watch movies, Setup with the android cell phone was a chore (none too fun), and our iPhone, ipad or microsoft laptop forget about it...it took over 1hr to figure out that you needed to add google chrome search engine or other apps that were in a different version already on the devices. After setup we were finally able to watch the tv but the sound quality was low and we had to turn the tv up to level 25 or 30 to hear a casted program. After all of this 48hrs later I'm sleeping as this tv is in my room and I jumped up out of my sleep because someone is talking in my house. The tv is off but the sound was going for about 5 secs. I was almost livid as it takes me forever to get asleep due to meds and lupus. Anyway, I blew it off but kept it in mind and said to myself if it happens again I'm taking it back because foresight is better than hindsight any day. Well later that night on wed exactly 7 days later (btw I didn't put the tv up til 4 days after purchase, so this is after 3 days of use) it did that sound coming thru with no picture again and almost made me fall out of my very high bed. If I keep this tv with all of these signs and it goes out its not best buys or Toshibas fault....ITS MINE!!! I'm very upset and I hope they can give me a comparable tv for the same price or all of my sitting out for hours with lupus was done in vain. Returning today!!

Very disappointed. Got this via Black Friday in-store only Deal for $199. Spent whole afternoon waiting in the cold outdoor. The brightness is not good; foggy vision. The ChromeCast is extremely difficult to set up. It cannot connect to Wifi that doesn't allow mutual device communication. You have to buy additional tv streaming device. The worst is the display turned dark and blinked after playing for a while. Cannot believe Toshiba built such poor-quality product. Not worth the time and effort to buy. Will return and never consider Toshiba TV again.

Thanksgiving Turkey

Waited in line to buy this as a Thanksgiving doorbuster, then came home and spent the next six hours trying to (a) get the Google Home app to work with it and (b) get a decent picture. Neither happened. The blacks in the picture all run together, no matter how much brightening or contrast adjustment is done. Google Cast (now called Google Home) did not work at all. At one point, the TV stopped responding entirely to the remote, which wouldn't even turn the power off, which meant unplugging the thing. Finally got sick of trying to polish a you-know-what, and I will be returning it for a refund tomorrow. Thanks for ruining Thanksgiving, Toshiba!

I am not a expert in TV's. Nor did I expect a 'state of the art' television, for $199 (Black Friday Deal). However, I hoped it would meet or beat my old TV (1080 resolution) but NO, it didn't! I refuse to keep adjusting settings, or waste anymore time trying to make this work. It's just not a good picture quality. PERIOD. It is hard to even read the cable guide, as many of the letters are blurred together! I guess you get what you pay for. Or, in this case.......somewhat less.

Worst Picture Quality, not at all a 4K, I believe. Dark scenes are very hard to watch. Isn't a smart TV as marketed. Phone is your remote. The chrome-cast built -in is a failure. Hard to install and disconnected like 30 times within 1 hr of a time-span. The huge light seepage in the bottom. WORST MAKE EVER! Seems that this is made specially for Thanksgiving - $199. I had returned the TV back and bought LG 4K which is great!
