Drive is primarily used for multimedia storage to be played back through computer or a Sound Bar. Works great on a computer. On the Sound Bar, going back from playing a video to the main folder occasionally results in a blank screen, but is usually corrected by tapping one of the directional buttons on the Sound Bar remote once or twice. I only mention this because the Western Digital 300GB hard drive this Toshiba drive replaced never did that. A fairly minor issue that is more annoying than anything else.

This Hard Drive is large enough to carry more files than you need and its small enough to carry with computer .. Its rated USB 3.0 ,But will work as a USB 2.0 , You then get to take files from an older OS like XP and move photos and other items to Windows 7 ,or 8

This item is compact, very easy to setup and use, has plenty of storage capability, and is fast using the USB 3.0 port on your computer. Windows recognizes it is USB 3.0 and will work on USB 2.0 but Windows lets you know to use a 3.0 port for faster results. I have been using for two weeks and have not had any problems.

Great for extra storage and it’s compact so you can carry it around

We are using a Cannon HD video camera and shooting long events. This requires lots of storage and did not want the computer to do this. Also the material is being passed around to numerous people. It works just great doing this.

I had a 1 TB Toshiba and was impressed with the speed and was happy to see the 2 TB Toshiba at such a low price. When I received it I was just as impressed with the speed and easy load application. Great device at a low price. I also had it delivered to a Military APO with no issues.

This drive is beautifully crafted and a pleasure to use. It includes software to make backing up and recovering or restoring easy. You can put it in your pocket or purse so it is available when you need it. You'd need a bag full of flash drives to get this much storage - 2TB.

This is the second toshiba hard drive i have had and they work great the only reason i purchased a new one we was because I wanted something with more memory my first one was only 500 gig the new one is 2 terabytes a lot more room i would recommend this to anyone just plug in go

My other external hard drive was running out of space, so I purchased the 2tb Toshiba hard drive and it works like a charm. I have plenty of room still left on it, it's lightweight and portable which is a huge plus. It also transfers my data fast due to the USB 3.0 support.

This external HDD is easy to use. It's plug and play, very portable and the power is supplied with the US cable. No other power cables are needed.

It's a great item to back up your stuff instead of using your computer. It can hold alot of files. Especially, music.

this hard drive is awesome 2tb for the price totally worth it

Wanted to back up Mac Book Air just in case and the hard drive worked great. Took several hours to back up everything but that was expected. Super easy set up, nice and compact design. Still only using USB 2.0 but nice to have the option of the 3.0. Great buy!

Lots of space available from everything to music to movies!

I have a zillion family pictures and I love having ever thing backed up and organized on the EHD. I scrapbook too and have all my projects and Digital Content and activation codes. All in one place. Thanks You Thank You and Thank You. PS Make a larger one. Please.

This is the best price for amount of Gigs I found, and I like the sleekness its perfect for portability. I've been using it to move movies (4Gb+ files) off and on since I bought it over a month ago and it works great and silently. Good deal

have had zero problems, great buy at Best Buy and it is fast compared to other units i have purchased. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a larger capacity USB drive.

I have not backed-up my PC as yet but hope to do that ASAP, hence the comment that it should be a great product. I think that the Toshiba Canvio Portable is a super buy for being 2 TB of storage for the price that was offered.

It's as easy as taking it out of the box. No formatting and instant ready to use. I paid 89 and have a huge amount of .raw photos no problem sir worries with space on my laptop.

easy to connect and use. I like it very much. Instructions are easy to follow. It is small and compact. It is convenient to pit in my briefcase to take to and from work.
