I brought this some extra space for my thousands of photos. Works great easy to use looks great, small and compact, powerful and I love it!

Absolutely love this external hard drive from Toshiba! It has a sleek aluminum enclosure, highly portable, and a 1TB size, which is perfect for my needs. The drive is USB 3.0 and transfers files extremely fast, and while not SSD speed, it is an improvement over USB 2.0 speeds by far, and works perfectly for my travel backup and portable file transfer. Conclusion: If you don't require SSD speeds, but need a solid performing, yet portable drive, this is a great option!

Light, thin and mac style hard drive. Great for a time machine. Transfers files fast and easy. 2tb lots of space. Love it!!

Ok, so that all takes quite a while to say, but I'm sure you catch my drift. (But seriously, I use these drives exclusively because they stack well, they're FAST, they're easy to label with Brother .47" continuous DK Labels, and their squared-off design makes handling them by the handful an easy task.)

Light and HUGE! IT is easy to use and easy to identify because it looks silver. LOTS of space!

I was looking for a portable hard drive with at least 1TB storage capacity. Of all the hard drives I looked at, this one was by far the best value (I got it on sale which didn't hurt). Bonus points: physically it's small, lightweight, attractive, an easy shape to store and transport. Technically, it offers good options for high speed data transfer and easy encryption, which was a plus.

In doing some research on which portable hard drive i should get, I can across the Toshiba - Canvio Slim II 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive. I am sure glad that I did, This HD is a very wonderful and user friendly and its small enough that I can fit it into my jeans pocket if I need to. Plus its very stylist too>

Was between the Toshiba and the WD models upon my purchase and decided to go with the Toshiba and made the right choice. The data transfer speed is amazing. I transferred 200gb of files in a short period of time. I dropped it In the rain and just a small scratch on it. Definitely recommend.

I needed a compact external drive. After some research and checking the reviews, this Toshiba drive was perfect. I have had it over a month with no problems. I have transferred a large number of music files and the drive runs quiet and cool. Liked it so much that I bought another.

I needed to have some additional memory on my Xbox One. I did a little research and spoke with a Best Buy associate. He helped me pick this one. It is a good size, relatively inexpensive and took about 5 minutes to set up. I've had it about 2 months and it works perfectly.

holds a ton of memory. this is a great unit for a great price. why bog down your computer when you can easily store music, movies & photos on this convenient unit. just plug it in and go. very easy to use...just like any file folder on your computer.

Toshiba - Canvio Slim II 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is a great external hard drive, smaller size than WB 1 TB hard drive. Mac and Windows compatible. I would recommend this to all if you are looking for compact external hard drive.
