I bought this device to hold the video footage from my first feature film, and it is able to hold all of my raw footage and interacts seamlessly with my laptop and editing software.

Love this external drive. Has enough capacity so that I can back up two computers and, since I leave it connected all the time, the silver color is almost a perfect match for my iMac.

This external hard drive is pretty good. The metal casing is hard, however I would recommend purchasing a case, just in case. While running there is a small flashing blue light to let you know if things are going OK. It does have a very low hum, but it's not very noticeable.

I got this 1TB "My Passport" drive to use with my Mac laptop (MacBook Pro) to back up my hard drive using Time Machine. I made sure to delete ALL files that came on "My Passport" so I could start the back up on a "clean" device. It is very small and fits neatly into a WD - Soft Side Portable Hard Drive Case for handy transport with the laptop. Backups occur very fast, once the initial one has been completed. It seems to be very reliable.

I purchased this external USB drive to connect to an Asus RT-AC87U router. I loaded it with some videos and photos as part of the minidlna server built into the router. Worked like a charm. Speed was good (not great, the drive is 5200RPM) but it plugged and played fine.

This external hard drive I am using as an backup for many files. It is easy to use. Just plug and play with my Windows 10 laptop. It also worked with my old Windows 8.1. I just hope it is as reliable as my other 10 year old Toshiba drive, which is still working fine.

The Toshiba Canvio Slim drive is easy to use. The small size is great. Great drive, nice size.

This hard drive does the exact same as one twice it's price for a mechanical drive, the finish is pretty good as well.

Great little external drive for my mini laptop (only has 32 Gb of flash drive). Wish it had an option to configure as either a backup drive or data drive so I didn't have to manually get rid of the backup software and the extra folders.

It is a great small, portable, light weight external hard drive with ample storage room.

This external hard drive gets the job done. It's nice that it's compatible with both MAC and PC without having to format. My only negative feedback would have to be the fact that I lost TWO important files that I saved on the hard drive. When I went to open them on another computer, the files were missing on the external hard drive. I understand that it could have been a user mistake, but I highly doubt it because I specifically remember dragging the files into the hard drive. So far this has only happened once in the month that I've had it. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Bought this about a month or two again and there are no problems so far. However one little issue I had was that the disconnects too easily, sometimes coming out when I don't want it to.

The geek squad was able to download all my info off of the computer they had to fix. Once, repaired they were able to reload with no losses. Yaaay!!!

Super fast and reliable. Easy to setup and use. I love the stainless feel to it.

Good solid drive for the storage on my XB1. Added it to a USB hub (3.0) connected to my console to increase its storage capacity and it is quick.
