I purchased this to replace a different external hard drive that failed. I set up the auto backup features and I really like the ability to set up different types and schedules for different data. So far I've been very happy with its performance.

Went in and saw a great brand at a good price. 1TB and slim model compared to my old one, doesn't take up room on my desk.

So far this drive has been a great asset. Just what I needed. Using on a Mac Pro for my Audio work, but will probably swap it over to use for my persona video storage from my HD Video Camera and Cell phone videos. Should have bought 2 of them.

I was surprised at how small and light this is. It's working totally fine so far, no hitches at all, great little buy. seller shipped fast and the product works great. small unit could fit in the hand of 10 yr old or in your pocket like a phone.

I use the hard drive as an auxilary for my Surface Pro so I can take large files with me on business trips. One of the things I really like about it is the size of the drive. I dislike having to carry lots of devices and cords. This drive is small, fast, durable, and works with a variety of computers and devises. Worthwhile purchase. I'd recommend it.

Never had a issue with Toshiba external hard driver and this is my 3rd external hard driver. Recently, I had a problem with Seagate external hard driver within 3 month of barely use and lost my media. Going back to Toshiba.

I needed a simple external hard drive to back up all my pictures, documents, etc. I wiped my computer out to factory settings and plugged the hard drive in and within minutes all my stuff was back on there, very easy to use and set up.

Looks awesome, performance is pretty good, especially for the price. Highly portable--it's ridiculously thin. Has a microUSB 3.0 port, which is a plus, since it means that all my microUSB 3.0 and older cables work with it, so absolutely no need to carry around more cables. Reuns pretty quiet, too. A light in the corner comes on when it's plugged in. Comes with Mac drivers for NTFS (although I guess you could just reformat it) and encryption software, but I haven't used either, being a PC user and using Truecrypt. Overall, it's great for a portable HDD.

Since it is a standard drive not much to say but it is solid and quick. I use it for storing my Virtual Machines and they run fine. No complaints. Great little drive.

The Toshiba - Canvio Slim II 1TB is a very powerful and versatile storage device. The backup software UI is easy to download, you can password protect your data and is quite a deal for the amount of storage you get.

This is a great little drive with 1TB of space, where I use to transfer data and store movies on it. This my second one, and it's very reliable. I've tried 2 other brands before and they would fail, since the hard drive never goes into sleep mode. This little guy would go into sleep mode when not in use. I put mp4 movies on this drive and connect it to my USB port on my TV and I can watch movies directly from the hard drive. The 1TB space allows me to put quite a few movies on there.

This is the easiest external hard drive I have ever owned. Simple to use. Basically plug it in back up and feel confident that all of your data is saved and safe!

I love my silver hard drive! It looks so nice. And the quality is good as well. I dropped it to the ground from my desk to the hard ground, unscathed!!

This product was just as described and very easy to use. I am running a Windows 7 computer that is about 10 years old and was able to back up the entire hard drive. Would definitely recommend this item.

Bought this to function as a storage unit for my old computer when I purchased a new one. Love the sleek, compact, chrome design, and the price was good.

Picked this up to replace older 1tb external drive. It was quick to install and I had everything backed up a few hours after purchase. Also got it on sale. It was cheap and served its purpose well.
